That night Taehyung went to bed in gis water while Jungkook went out to feed his great hunger. He needed a proper meal to fill his needs.

So as usual, Jungkook was roaming around in the night. His steps were silent as air. People rarely ever heard him coming. A true Vampire, fully embraced all the things that made them dangerous killers.

"hungry" he muttered. His body was asking for food. He has been searching for someone to eat preferably one of those evil Hunters.

The raven sighed following two hunters on night patrol. He didnt feel like eating them, they were too easy. But just in case he cant find anything else he did not let then out of his sight.
Which was a good thing, because now he overheard a conversation.

"did you hear about that recent Mermaid catch? That got sold" one of them said, starting a conversation.

"yea i did, impressive that thed managed to find one. That means they are still out there.

"yup, boss showed us a piece of it. The most expensive meat ever discovered. Seeing how small that piece was, damn they really chopped her up in tiny pieces, i wonder who bought the rest."

Jungkook got more and more irritated as the story went on. But it didn't only anger him it also worried him...

"we should find one ourselves, we can get rich and start our own dealing business. Maybe a merfolk farm. That would be even better!" the two laughed and agreed with eachother. A shuffling sound caught their attention and they turned around. "who goes there?!"

But Jungkook was already gone.

He didnt need to eat anymore. Food can wait. He needed to see him right now, he need to check if he was still alright. He got so worried imagining Taehyung getting caught and chopped into pieces to sell.

So he had hurrues home as fast he could. Shaping back into his normal appearance on the sand in his backyard. He stepped into the water. "Taehyung?!" he asked to the water. Not caring that his shoes and pants were getting wet. "Taehyung?! Are you awake?"

"Tae-"

"Jungkook? Whats going on?" Taehyung came to the surface his face filled with panic. Thinking things were going wrong or something had happened to the raven.

"oh im happy to see you" Jungkook was relieved seeing that his own mermam was doing fine. In a hurry he stepped into the water trying to get to the other. "i forgot something earlier"

"oh, really? But we will see eachother tomorrow too...Or was it that important?" taehyung asked getting clpser so the vampire didn't have to go that far. "and your clothes, you should change!"

"no need. And no it can't wait. I don't want to be too late one day."

"Jungkook what is going on, you're making me worried!" Taehyung said he didn't like the way things were going so sudden. Was something really wrong?

"relax.." Jungkook chuckled.

"but-"

"the merman's words got cut off as he got pulled against the vampire with a swift motion to snake an arm around his waist and pull him in. Gently secured him with one arm while the other cupped his cheek. A pair of cold lips connected with his own.

A kiss,

Taehyung's heart was going crazy, the overwhelming amount of feelings and warm tingkes that erupted from inside was making him feel lightheaded. In reflex he grabbed onto Jungkook's arm and hip. His eyes closed and he melted away.

They parted and gave one last kiss before properly pulling away and looking at eachother. Jungkook's eyes were basically (if it were possible) two hearts right now.

"Tae, I love you. And I promise to keep you safe. As long as I am standing they will have to go through me, whatever happens "Jungkook spoke, his mind thinking back back earlier, and the news from a while before. He can't imagine losing Taehyung to them and seeing him chopped into meat. The thought of that scared him, so he had to go back and see him right away.

"Koo....." Taehyung almost teared up at those words. He had never felt so safe and loved before. Not even at his own home in the past. This love felt different.  Taehyung hugged the other tightly. "Thank you, for everything. I love you too..... I won't be a burden"

"you aren't a burden at all, even if i had to carry you all the time i would still do it. I want to help you, i am a Vampire i feel good when i achieve goals, and my goal is you."

"you're all i could ever ask for. I may not have my family, but i have you now. I'm no longer alone"

Jungkook smiled and stroked Taehyung's wet white hairs with one hand. "Sorry to wake you like this."

"It's alright....But why so sudden? I didn't expect you to wake me up like this, "Taehyung chuckled a little.

"I.....I had to think of you, and I had to say it or else I couldn't sleep." jungkook for once lied a little to the other. He didn't want to worry him like that again. He doesn't need to know.

"sleep? But you're a vampire"

"We sometimes sleep. Once a week or so. Tonight I will sleep a little and rest my head for a while."

"ohh. Okay" taehyung Had the feeling jungkook was gonna go already. "Can you stay some longer? We can sit there..."

"If you want to, sure," Jungkook smiled and let Taehyung pull him back to the garden where they sat down half in the water. They laid on their back with their legs in the water.

"You must still be tired. You can sleep if you want to."

"I don't want you to leave... Not after what you said, i now want to stay with you even more"

"I won't leave. I will lay here with you"

"but your sleep-"

"i will sleep tomorrow." Jungkook chuckled and pressed Taehyung's head on his chest. Wrapping one arm over the merman's shoulders to hold him. "there, now sleep. No complaining"

Taehyung let out a long sigh. This was very comforting. He could lay like this everyday. Being so close to Jungkook was the best.
