The two with unspoken love reached the house again. Jungkook opened the door for the other and locked it behind them. He was glad that he was back inside, he could still feel the burn on his skin. While looking in the mirror in his hallway he gently touched the burn mark while Taehyung wasn't looking.

"Do you want to do anything?" the vampire asked, breaking their endless silence.

"no, ..." Taehyung said and went into the living room. Standing in front of the window that looked out on the water behind the house.

Jungkook followed him but kept a distance, ever since he read that news paper taehyung had been so silent. Jungkook didn't know what to do. He was not good at comforting people. Should he give him a hug? Give him food? Maybe just let him be? He wished Jimin was here so he could ask for advice. But that was not possible right now.

"Is that what they did to my friends?" Taehyung asked while staring outside.

"huh?"

"kill them, sell them in parts...."

"i...Don't know," Jungkook replied with a sting in his non beating heart.

"they probably did. They must have been so scared...... Maybe they killed my family too... Maybe they already killed everyone, maybe I am the last..... I haven't seen anyone of my kind since that day" Taehyung turned around with the same sad and worried expression on his face like in the alley.

"Tae...." Jungkook walked closer and spread his arms, he carefully pulled the other into a hug. Holding Taehyung's head against his chest. Making the other feel protected in his arms.

"Please let me stay in your waters, i'm only safe here"

"Of course. I told you already, you are always welcome here. I will watch over you"

"thank you....'' Taehyung hugged the other back and took a deep breath. He doesn't want the hug to end. But even though they had a good connection and that Jungkook had been nothing else but kind and loving towards him.... He couldn't help but question why..
"Why are you being so nice to me?"

"because from the first time i saw you you have become a very special person to me." Jungkook said and kept the hug going for another few seconds before parting but still holding the other by the shoulders so he can look at him.

"i'm not as special as you think, i'm just a merma-"

"Taehyung, I love you. That's what makes you special." Jungkook said and sighed. It was as if a weight was lifted off of him.

"you..... You really love me?" Taehyung was surprised that Jungkook felt that for him. He never dared to think that this was both ways. So that means he can be with him for even longer?

"Yes I do, I did not expect it but you just caught my cold heart. I hope you don't mind"

"i don't, not at all. I just didn't think you would....Feel that way. Because...I do too. I love you too, i felt sad even thinking of having to leave you one day." Taehyung hugged the other again this time tightly squeezing him with both his arms.

"you're too cute," Jungkook chuckled and patted the other's back. When the merman parted he noticed something different. "Your eyes are red, did you cry?" he asked, seeing the skin around the merman's eyes was  red. So was his nose.

"ah...No I just.... Could use the water again." Taehyung said and looked away. He didn't want to leave yet. But he knew he should go back today. He isnt used to being out of the water. Yes he could stay a little longer but he doesn't want to get sick.

"then i will walk you there. You should go right away, don't want you to get sick" Jungkook went to get his umbrella and went with him outside. "You need to stay healthy or else I can't love you."

"but....Ah... " Taehyung caught on to what that meant a bit later but then he hummed. "okay...But...Turn around please"

Jungkook smiled and shook his head while he turned around. Taehyung probably will need a long time before he will be comfortable undressing near him.

The Vampire stood there with his umbrella until he heard a splash. Slowly he turned around and looked at the water where bubbles and movement was. After a few seconds Taehyung's head popped out, his white hairs now wet again.

"and?"

"feels better" Taehyung replied and  came closer to the other. The vampire kneeled down while holding the umbrella.

"That's good, I can't have my love get sick now. I need to keep you healthy, my baby"

Als this sweet talk was making the other shy again and he blushed heavily.

"Shall we meet again before bedtime?"

"don't leave!" Taehyung grabbed Jungkook's pants to prevent him from walking away.

"but"

"please don't..... I'm scared" Taehyung said. He was back to zero. Back to being afraid to even be alone.

"i....alright i guess i can stay a little longer." Jungkook actually didn't want to stay longer. It would bring the other in danger. Jungkook was starting to feel hungry, which means he should feed before he starts craving anything that has blood. Which then would include this sweet merman right here. "can you heal in tap water too?" he asked.

"a little. It doesn't have the bacteria as the sea does. But it can help in bad cases yes"

"how about i put you in my bathtub and you can stay till the night. Then I will help you back here and watch over you as you sleep." Jungkook said. He was really offering his all to the other. He just really, really wanted to keep him and love him.

"Will you do that for me?"

"only for you, my love is unmatched" Jungkook smiled. Taehyung smiled back and raised his arms to the vampire. Jungkook chuckled and rested the umbrella between his neck and shoulders. He then lifted the merman into his arms bridal style Back into the house. The water from the other wet his clothes and dripped on the floor.

Upstairs in his bathroom he filled the tub while Taehyung laid inside.

"this is quite nice," Taehyung said, flapping his tail a little and curling it into the tub.

"i uhm.... I have to leave when the sun sets. But I will come back so you can get back into the pond" Jungkook spoke while they waited for the tub to fill.

"why?"

"vampire needs."

"oh....I see" Taehyung would almost forget about that. Jungkook was still a vampire and still would need to feed from others. No matter how sweet he was to him, he still needed to do those scary things.

"just enjoy your bath time. Here have some brain games. Yoongi brought them to me to keep my busy during the day" Jungkook said. He left for a minute and returned with some puzzle cubes and wooden puzzles. All things to figure out to get it back into its shape. Perfect to kill time, that way he hoped Taehyung wouldn't get bored. "its alright if they get wet. Don't worry"

"Thank you." the merman smiled.

After that Jungkook had turned off the tab and not before long the sun had set and the Vampire left the house to hunt in the night. Feed his hunger and desire for murder.

Next chapter will be a bit late. I am currently visiting my brother in a different city so i don't really have any opportunity to write.
But its just a few days, then i will be back like normalll.
