Daytime,

Jungkook never liked it. At least he used to. Right now, he felt a bit...Happy when it was day. He knows that the moment the sun appeared over the horizon and shone a warm orange pink light that the merman would show himself again.

So he got his lazy ass out of his chair and left the book section of the house. Making his way to his bedroom.

He wore an elegant button up with black pants, his shoes clacked on the wooden floor. The house was lifetimes old and cracked on some spots.

He didn't mind the aging of the house. It kept him to reality seeing things around him wear out over time while he mainly stayed the same.

Anyway, he reached the bedroom and walked to his bedroom window. Halting his steps right at the edge of the sun that shone through his window. A block of light barely touching the tip of his shoes making his toes feel warm.

"beautiful..." he muttered when he looked at the water. There at the part of the grass that was the lowest to the water the merman had pulled himself close to the flowers and began to examine it again. Shaking the plant and pulling its leaves. Taking samples to bring to his home, or wherever he lived.

It was a strong plant with big grown leaves, not easy to just pluck them off. So the plant fell over and the dirt scattered out of the pot.

The merman was shocked and jolted back when the plant fell towards him. With a cautious hand he carefully touched the plant to check it before putting it back straight. Looking at the dirt confused.

"so cute" Jungkook said and a soft smile crept up his lips. It was strange for a vampire to feel like this. Especially for a creature that's supposed to be something they can eat, like humans. Predators shouldnt exactly... Befried or fall in love with their food. That's not the way nature works.

But that was how Jungkook worked. He likes this merman, he wants to talk to him, get to know him, he wants to show him the cool things around the house and  show him even more beautiful plants. The merman showed a lot of interest in the garden that moved along the edge of the waters. It was only blocked by a fence. A fence that dissapeared when the ground got too low to the water. The perfect spot for the merman to get closer to land.

Suddenly an apple fell from jungkook's apple trees and the birds in it flew away with a lot of noise. The merman flinched and quickly turned around disappearing back underwater.

"no! stupid tree. You ruined it!" Jungkook said and left the bedroom to go back downstairs.

That night when the sun was far far away the vampire had left his mansion to go into the garden and fix the flower pot. With his two hands he scooped the dirt back into the pot.

"There we go, your ground is back" Jungkook said and made sure the flowers  all still alright before stepping back and wiping his hands off on his pants to get rid of the dirt.

Once things were back in place he headed back inside and continued his reading.

It will be a long night again. But at least he got something to look forward to.  He might give it a try to sleep a bit.
Vampires rarely sleep, unless they lack energy from too little food. They need to regularly feed to keep their energy up. Just like humans have to eat. But one of the bigger differences was that Vampires don't have to eat each few hours. They eat every day or even longer apart. For Jungkook, he only feeds every day or sometimes even skips an extra day. He doesn't do a lot of activities. He spends most of his time either reading or stalking hunters through the city.

He likes to scare them when he gets the chance.

One day he will get his revenge. For now, he just wants to play with them. The right moment will come eventually. Patience is key, and Jungkook has plenty of time to wait for that opportunity.

"sunflowers....Hmm, i've never planted those before '' jungkook flipped the page and looked at the colorful drawn picture of a sunflower.

Since he has so much spare time compared to humans he uses his time to broaden his knowledge. He has grown into a very smart man with knowledge on many different things. Which is also the way he managed to get himself loaded with money. No food to spend it on, no house to rent, no school to pay. He can just earn and sit on it until it's needed. But he was done for the upcoming lifetime. He stopped working among humans a while ago and did more self study in plants. At first it was just a hobby to learn. But now it was more than that, it was currently his only way of communicating with the merman. So he had to get better and better. Impress the boy every time he visits.

He had to make something he likes.

Make him feel welcome so one day he can approach him....

A day that hopefully will come soon, he was beginning to run out of plants to show the creature. Maybe....Maybe he should just do it, not be so scared of a bad outcome. Maybe the merman wasn't afraid, maybe he had already seen him through the windows?

No... Jungkook shook his head. He shouldn't rush things....But at the same time he can't wait too long. He experienced waiting too long will leave him all alone in the end.... He doesnt want that again. The sooner he acts the more time he will have with him.

Yes.... Yes that's good, he has to keep it in mind.

Just a little more patience. He had to be sure the plan will work.

That is chapter 1😳, its short i know. Normally they are longer but i didn't think the other part fit well together into one chapter  So i cut it into two pieces. it always feel scary to start off a new story. Its really nervous to wait if the story is being liked or if it gets no interest at all. I hope things go well this time❤

Also i wanted to mention that not all members will have an equal big role on the story. I find it very hard to make a impactful role for all seven, it really makes it very complicated for me to make the story work. So i will lessen some characters but everyone will be included in some way. I hope you are all alright with it.

That said, i am happy you read the first chapter. I hope everything is to your liking so far! Cant wait to start on chapter 2 already, see you there!🐣💕🌻
