After a happy time in the garden the two were back inside the house. Their hands covered in dirt. Jungkook was washing his hands in the kitchen sink while Taehyung waited for his turn.

"are you alright to get your hands wet?" Jungkook asked as he grabbed the towel next to him.

" a little water is fine. Don't worry, as long you don't dump a whole lot over me" the merman chuckled and washed his hands too.

"Do you want to go have a walk through the forest? I know a spot with a lot of wild flowers."

"Yes, I'd love to!"

"great" Jungkook smiled and put on his hooded coat again from earlier. Swatting off some remaining sand from the edges.

Jungkook gave taehyung an extra layer to wear, just in case. In the evening it can get a little more chilly and he doesn't want the other to feel cold. He himself doesn't feel it. He just wears it for protection and fashion.

Jungkook likes to look good when he goes out. Especially when he goes to feed. He wants their last image to be him. And who was he not to dress up for that.

"So...You lived here long?" Taehyung asked.

"all my life, and my parent's their life"

"your parents? Vampire's have parents?"

"Of course we do, vampires aren't just created. They are born too. Like me. Born like me are strong and almost immortal. While those created are living dead that are being kept alive by a virus, a sickness. They will eventually succumb to the disease and die anyway." Jungkook explained as they walked over a barely visible path through the trees. A sunset in the distance coloring the forest a warm orange color.

"ooh.... I didn't know that"

"oh and, this is a date"

"a date?" the merman was taken by surprise.

"yea"

"you want it to be a date?"

"Of course" the vampire replied right away. He turned his head and looked at the smaller with a smile.

"me too" the merman blushed and walked closer to the other. He didn't feel scared here in the forest. So open to human's eyes that somehow might see him. Being with Jungkook made him feel safe. He doesn't know if it was true but he felt like the vampire would protect him if anything would happen. So far he hasn't done anything else than care for him.

His heart skipped a beat and he bit his lip. Thinking of him already made him so warm inside. He doesn't want to leave, he wants to stay even longer. In the water he was so lonely...Here he was welcome, warm and happy.

"what's on your mind?" Jungkook asked. He hasn't heard anything from the other in a while.

"a-ah n-nothing"

"Are you sure?" The raven chuckled and swung an arm over the other's shoulder to lean his face closer in a teasing way.

"yes!" the merman began to freak out on the inside with how close the other was. His heart beating in his throat.

"cute." the vampire moved away again and pointed to the nearing clearing. "we are here"

The two walked out of the thick forest and onto the clearing inside the forest. It was a field with some rocks and a lot of wild flowers.

"woah!...." taehyung gasped and hopped forward. He fell in his knees and looked at all the flowers around him. "it's so beautiful here!"

"You like flowers that much?" The other chuckled and adjusted his hood.

"I love them! There are so many. I want to take them with me"

"Stay here," Jungkook said. Taehyung turned around to reply but when he did the raven was gone.

"Jungkook?" he asked and turned around again, again and again. But he didn't see him anywhere. Thisnis when he began to feel scared again.

What If something happens, what if a human sees him and they attack him. They will kill him and sell him off in pieces. What if a monster eats him?

What if Jungkook abandoned him here?

No! Please no!

"Jungkook??....Jungkook! Come back, jungkook please. Don't leave me here!" he shouted and walked backwards. But in the process of doing so he tripped over a rock and fell on his ass. This was the drop. His eyes teared up and he curled his fingers in the grass. "i-im scared"

Then there was a footstep next to him. He turned his head and felt a bit of his fear fade.

"i.....Uh...i'm Sorry i" Jungkook didn't know what to say. He wanted to surprise the other with a gift....He didn't expect him to panic like that. Now he felt bad. "I just wanted to collect you a bouquet of wildflowers to take back...." Jungkook stood there extending his arm to the merman. A full bouquet of wildflowers was presented to the other.

"i-i thought you left me here..." Taehyung took the flowers and placed them on his lap. "i-im sorry for crying. I just....Panicked" he mentally scolded himself for tearing up so quickly. He just got so many scary ways to get killed in his head. He doesn't want to end the same fate as his friends and family. He will forever be afraid of that.

"no no, don't be sorry. I shouldn't have disappeared so quickly. Especially when we are somewhere you have never been before." Jungkook sighed and kneeled down in front of the other. He gently cupped the merman's soft face and wiped away the two tears that just left his eyes.

"You're too kind.... How can a vampire be like this...." Taehyung muttered.

"because you're special. To me, you're not someone to feed from. You're different. I wouldn't be asking to date you if you were not special."

Taehyung smiled, feeling like he was going to melt away. "Thank you for the flowers.... They are very pretty"

"you're most welcome." the vampire let go of his face and sat down beside him. Both leaning their back against the stone and watching the orange sky turn darker and darker.

Jungkook took off his hood now the sun wasn't so bright anymore and removed his gloves as well. Now it was really just him and Taehyung. Both together in a moment between day and night, the only time that they naturally would have been able to see each other.

Jungkook turned his head when he felt something lean against him. It was Taehyung, he had scooted closer and rested his head against Jungkook's shoulder.

The vampire smiled, he doesnt want this to end yet.
