After not much of an eventful evening Jungkook returned home. The moon high up in the sky already.

In the morning he will see the other again. For now he will have to find something to entertain himself with.
From the hallway he could already see the dancing flames in the reflection of the window in the living room. He left it to molder down but it was still burning with its last flames.

He should throw in a new block while it's still burning. Jungkook walked through the hallway into his living room. Even though he does not have any body heat the house somehow always feels cold to him. It just....Didn't feel like home. Yes the stuff was still here. Yes he grew up here. But there is nothing here that is home. It's just a house with empty faded memories. Just a building to cover his head.

The vampire sighed and walked past the window. At first he didn't see it.

He took a step back and frowned looking out of the glass. There was something he for sure did NOT expect to see. Especially not at this hour.

On his wooden bench in his garden sat a person. A person with white hair and shimmering skin in the moonlight.

He opened the backdoor and stepped outside. Approaching the person sitting in front of his rose bushes.

"Taehyung?" he said and stopped walking. He couldn't believe what he was seeing right now. The merman was right there. On...On land. He had legs! A pair of legs that were crossed slyly to cover his bare skin that couldn't be covered by the towel that was draped over his shoulders.

"H-hey" the merman said nervously. He didn't think Jungkook would be here so soon. He didn't know how he would react. Heck, he didn't even think he would be home! He was totally unprepared. He hasn't finished his mental script for this encounter yet.

"you.... You are here. With...Legs'' the vampire still was trying to wrap his head around that this was real. As a merman he was already a beauty, and even as a human he still was just as unique. His white hair that was now dry and soft, his skin that actually shimmered with a faint bluish scale pattern on some parts and his light baby blue eyes that looked back at him.

Jungkook felt a wave of warmth go through him and he gulped getting his feelings back together. "a-ah uhm" he cleared his throat. "I mean, you look beautiful. I didn't expect to see you here"

"I thought you might....Like it. So you won't have to come to me everytime." Taehyung replied and fiddled with the tip of the towel.

"aren't you cold?"

"....a little"

"wait here. I will get you something to wear." Jungkook didn't wait for a reply but ran back inside and grabbed a clean set of pajamas out of his closet. With that he ran back outside and handed them to the merman. "here, i'm not sure if they fit as im...Well, tall. But they are at least warm" he smiled.

"Thank you. You're kind"

Yes, to him he was.

"uhm...Can you...T-turn around? '' Taehyung said with a blush. He felt way too shy to show his human parts to the other. Even if they are both the same gender.

"Of course. Let me know when you're done, "Jungkook turned around and patiently waited.

While he had his back turned taehyung removed the towel he grabbed from Jungkook's wash line and put on the clothes given to him. They were indeed too big. He rolled up the ends of the pants and arms so he could properly use his hands and feet. But they actually felt really nice. The material was soft and they smelled just like the vampire. He smiled and sniffed the fabric a few times before deciding he was done and tapping the raven on his shoulder. "im done"

"ahw adorable!" Jungkook said excitedly when he saw the other. He could just squish the other if he wasn't a living being. "do you want to come inside, only if you want to. I have the fireplace burning, its warm"

"Sure" Taehyung smiled and followed the vampire into the mansion. It was indeed really warm inside. Very pleasant to step in here.

Right away he started to turn his head around and look at the living room. It had warm autumn colors with a lot of wood. So this is what a vampire's house looked like? But Jungkook wasn't like other vampires, he was nice. Maybe this is only for nice vampires?

"What do you think?"

"It's warm," Taehyung said. "i like it"

"Let's sit here by the fire." the vampire said and sat down on the couch. Not too close to the other and accidentally creep him out. He looked at the other after about ten seconds and noticed he took a interest in the fire. "You like the fire?"

"they look funny, can I touch it?"

"no! Don't touch that. You will hurt yourself, fire is a dangerous thing. You should not touch or play with it" Jungkook immediately felt protection was needed and stepped in before the merman would do anything stupid.

"oh...We don't have fire underwater. We have hot bubbles that come from deep in the earth."

"Really, so is that how you warm up?"

"we don't need to warm up. When I am under water I'm fine, my body is made to live in those temperatures that I come from. But as a human my body is a bit different. It's dry air here, it reacts differently to it."

"ah i see.... So is it really okay to be out of the water like this?" the raven asked curiously.

"Yes, until we feel too dried out. Then we need to go back or we will get sick and eventually die from dehydration, like a fish."

"You know best." Jungkook chuckled and they got into a conversation. It was nice for both of them to be spending time like this, it almost felt as if they were normal people. Taehyung felt good for being able to adjust to Jungkook like the vampire had been adjusting to him.

After not too long the raven remembered he hadn't even offered the other a drink. "Would you like some tea?"

"tea?"

"Yes, it's hot water with a flavor. Usually from like dried flowers or fruits."

"it sounds funny, i want to try it"

"okay i will go make it. I will be right back '' Jungkook stood up and headed to the kitchen. He doesn't drink tea but his guests do. His human guests would like something other than plain water or blood that is stored in his fridge. So he also had some human snacks and drinks here for when he needed it.  Usually just stuff that holds for a long time so it doesn't go bad.

"fruity?" he muttered to himself trying to decide what flavor the other would like. He did go with a fruit flavor in the end. Most people like those so it was a safe option.

Finally after heating the water and making the dark golden colored tea he went back to the living room.

"I'm back, i have the tea" he said but halted in his steps when he reached the cough.

Taehyung laid on his side with his eyes closed. He had fallen asleep it seemed.

"oh, I see" the vampire lowered his voice and placed the tea down. He was hesitating about what to do. Should he wake him? No, that would be rude. Taehyung must have been tired he should let him sleep. But the cough looked uncomfortable like this. He might get cold, he should put him to bed. No no, that's even worse. What if he wakes up he will think something happened, that would freak him out.

He already had an idea. Jungkook went upstairs and back down. He had grabbed his own pillow placing it under the merman's head and his own bed sheet that he covered his body with just over his shoulders. This should do it.

It was the best solution he could think of right now and the safest option.

With a sigh and a small smile he himself sat down on the chair near the fireplace and crossed his leg over the other staring at the flames. He will just wait here for the other to wake up in the morning.

He didnt mind. He can wait eternities.
