I am so ready for them to come home, so I can have someone to hug at three am when the monsters are awake.
So I'm not alone, with poisonous thoughts tainting my mind.
When they are at my side, people don't dare say a bad thing to me. I'm safe when they are with me.
But after they drove off to have fun with their family, I was attacked with insults and began to hate myself once again.
They will be back soon, I tell myself. They promised.
No promises are broken with us. And us will never be broken.
