Jace panicked a bit at the idea of spending the night. He hasn't seen these guys in a while and then his parents just suggest he stay at the house. "But I don't have any clothes!" Jace exclaims, and tries to stop Toby and Tim from walking away. "You will manage" Tim says. Jace huffs and crosses his arms. 

"You'll have fun you little grumpy bean" Toby says and kisses his head. Jace kinda laughs at the name but then goes back to a pouty expression. Tim ruffles up his hair and tells him to call. They both jump in the car and speed off. Jace sighs and looks back at the house. 

He walked back into the house and was greeted by Jeff. "Now we can finally hang out, your parents wouldn't let you do that when you were younger" Jeff said and motioned Jace to follow. "He was 10" Ben laughs. "Okay and!?" Jeff exclaims. Max just stays quiet and listens. "You're really quiet tonight huh?" Jace tries to make conversation.

Max looks over and nods. Jace kinda looks down. Does Max not like him? I mean he joked around at first but now he's barely even looking at him. 'Did I do something?' Jace thought. All the boys went into the living room and plopped down onto the couches. 

"Can you get snacks Max?" Ben asks. Max groans and stomps his foot. "Don't complain its annoying" Jeff throws in. Max stomps into the other room. "You go help too" Ben motions Jace to go after him. "Just because your older doesn't mean you can boss us around" Jace mutters and walks into the other room. 

"I can do whatever the hell I want!" Ben yells. Jace rolls his eyes and grabs sodas out of the fridge. "So how old are you?" Max asks and grabs chips out of the cupboard. "Im 16" Jace replies and looks over at him. "Oh, so am I" Max says. 

They both walk back with the snacks and the older boys snatch the things from their hands. "Should it be games or movie?" Jeff asks. 

"Games!"

"Movie!"

Ben and Max yell at the same time. They both look at each other and glare. "Okay, Jace can be the tie breaker" Jeff says. Everyone looks at Jace. Jace blushes and gets nervous. "Um...I don't know..." he says weakly. "C'mon just pick one!" Jeff says loudly. "Um movie?" he suggests. 

Max smirks at Ben, who is just glaring at both of the teens. Jeff sets up the movie and they all sit and snack. 

After a little while of watching the movie Max gets up and leaves. Jace shrugs it off and continues watching the movie. The other two ignore it also. 

Then it becomes 10 minutes. Then 20. Then 30. Jace looks at Ben. "Where did Max go?" he asks. Ben shrugs. "Can you go find him though? I want him to get me candy" he says, not looking away from the screen. Jace rolls his eyes and goes to look for him. He walks up a flight of stairs and hears music in one room. 

He knocks and waits patiently. The door opens and its Sally. She's in a short night gown and fluffy robe. "Oh hey Jace" she blushes and timidly smiles. Jace is instantly feeling weird about this situation and doesn't want to be in it. She leans against the threshold and smiles more. "So, wanna come in and listen to music with me?" she asks. 

Jace opens his mouth to answer and then sees someone down the hall. Max walks out of the darkness with only black and red checkered boxers. His hair is wet and messy. "Stop being a slut Sally" Max mutters and walks by. She tenses up with an angry face and slams the door in Jace's face. 

"That was a little harsh" Jace says and follows him. "Well she doesn't need to be wearing skimpy ass things for you" he snaps. Jace frowns and stays quiet. Jace studies Max's body and blushes. He knows he shouldn't be staring but he does it anyway. 

"I was wondering where you went" Jace broke the awkward silence. "I was in the shower" Max says. Suddenly Jace was pushed up against the wall. Max smirks and holds both of his arms.

"Maybe you can join me next time."
