Jace ran his hand through his thick dyed white hair. "I really don't know Ma" he mumbles unsure. "You were perfectly fine with it when you were little" Toby said and looked back at his son. "I was, but now that I think of it...I don't know if I can handle the peoples faces as it happens. Its just dark...its ghastly" Jace replied. Tim walked in and kissed his husband and child. Jace wiped his cheek and rolled his eyes. 

"I don't know if I can." "Its alright Jace, we will not force you into it" Toby says soothingly. "What are you talking about?" Tim asks and pulls off his jacket. "He doesn't know if he can murder" Toby replies. Tim looks over at Jace, who looks half worried and half annoyed. "You were fine with it when-"

"I know I was fine with it when I was younger!" he shouts. "People change you know!" he snaps. "Do not raise your voice at your father he did not know" Toby says sternly. "Go to your room now" Tim said with no emotion. Jace punches the wall and stomps to his room. Toby sighs heavily and leans against the wall. "His anger issues have gotten worse" Tim mumbled. "I know, we need to get him to a therapist or something" Toby replies. 

After a little bit of silence Toby pipes up. "I think I know why he's upset" he says and grabs Tim's arm. Tim turns and looks at his husband. "I think he just wants to make us proud, and now that he cant handle death he feels like he can't do that."  

Tim nods and looks at Jace's closed door. "We have to let him know we're proud of him either way."

"He hasn't been the same since Ruby passed" Toby sighed sadly. "He got so close to that baby." Tim embraces Toby and rests his hand on the back of his head. "I miss our little girl" Toby sniffled. "I do too, but we need to focus on the present. Not the past" Tim petted his head gently. 

"I love you" Tim looks down at Toby. Toby keeps his head down and sniffles once more. Tim puts his hand under his chin and pulls his head up to look at him. "I love you..." Toby says quietly. Tim sadly smiles. 

"Tim I swear you are the only thing keeping me together."
