Unscathed Scars

Everyone knows

If you play with fire

Instead of admiring it

Like the rest

You get burnt.

They know

That jumping into an ant bed

Instead of just leaving them be

Will only get you bit.

It's common knowledge

Knocking down wasp nests

Instead of keeping your distance

Results in stings.

Why jump into fights

When you can walk away,

Scar free?

Why be reckless

When you can stay away

From trouble

But still have fun?

Why take risks,

When you can come out

Untouched?

Taking pride in your

Unscathed scars

Isn't very smart,

But then again,

Why party

And possibly ruin your life

In the making

When you can pick up a book

For just thirty minutes,

And pass the test?
