Although it'd take a lot of backstabbing and betrayal and lies, Logan Roy was on his way to becoming one of the richest men in America.

Growing up, the man had nothing to his name. The Roy name meant nothing but poverty and struggle. Everything Logan had now... he had to fight for it. He had to earn it through hard work and determination. Oh, and also a lot of lies and betrayal. But all of that hard work paid off the minute he merged his company Royco Holdings with the American newspaper company, Waystar, to create Waystar Royco. And it was quickly growing in both popularity and wealth.

Logan Roy was a self-made businessman and he was finally getting the life he deserved.

Elizabeth Spencer had been born from money. She was a wealthy girl, spoiled from all of the material items her parents showered her with. Not only was Elizabeth rich but she was incredibly beautiful, the perfect trophy for her parents to show off at grand dinner parties and work events. Her parents both owned the popular insurance company, Spencer, a family business that had lots and lots of clients. Whether the business was legit or not didn't seem to matter. Just as long as money was made, that was the only point.

Born from a world of money and corruption, it was no wonder that Elizabeth was already so fucked in the head.

When Elizabeth and Logan meet at a dinner party, it's truly the beginning of the end. For Elizabeth anyway. She's blinded by Logan's handsome looks and newfound wealth to realize that he was dark and corrupted inside, destined to infect any and everyone who got too close to him. Despite the warning signs, the two start a whirlwind romance and Elizabeth helps Logan to rise higher and higher in the ranks. 

But as Logan grows more powerful and untouchable, Elizabeth feels herself slowly beginning to spiral. All she wants is love but she's asking for it from the wrong man. Logan desired Elizabeth, but only to destroy her.

And unfortunately, he'd end up succeeding.

✷ sooooo here's this logan fic that i've been cooking for a while. i was always curious about doing a fic for logan during his younger years. the wiki says a little about his past but never gives specific dates so i'm truly winging it. i just know that he had to start waystar sometime in the 70's so that gives me some wiggle room to create more of a background for him. and this'll start in the late 60's, early 70's.

✷ logan's still an asshole but he's played by james mcavoy so he has pretty privilege. i looked it up on reddit and a lot of people said james would be a perfect younger logan and you know what... i absolutely see it

✷ with that being said, liz and logan's relationship will be incredibly toxic and they will not be a good couple. they'll have their moments but it's a trainwreck. and if i'm following the timeline correctly then connor would've had to have been born sometime in the 70's or late 70's which means.... i'm making elizabeth his mom. you know the one logan sends away to a mental hospital and who everyone thinks is crazy because logan said so. i can't remember if they ever said the name of connor's mom and i tried looking for it but i couldn't find anything so i am once again taking creative liberties with this
