[...] I just wanna feel your body on me. [...] if you want it, then you got it, hold me. No more, no more wasting time. We can go all night. [...] I just wanna feel your body on me. — Rita Ora, "Body on Me feat. Chris Brown" (2015)

Just an innocent dance. It was supposed to be just an innocent dance, but the alcohol soon took over Meredith's body and Jaxx wasn't opposed from her advance, so when she started grinding up on him he let his body take over.
His hands landed on her waist; her itty-bitty waist. She pushed her body closer to him. He was breathing on her neck and Meredith felt alive for this moment. She looked at Jaxx and a bright smile plastered onto her lips as she let her hands move over his back to his behind.
Her hands rested on his bum and she looked pleadingly in his direction. "Grab my ass" she whispered and Jaxx looked at her. "Mer, you're going to regret—" His words were cut short as she grinded on him. Feeling the center of her body so close to his made his mind short circuit.
"Grab my ass" she repeated—more demanding this time. Jaxx looked at her, leaned his forehead against hers and grabbed onto her ass. A soft moan left Meredith's lips. Jaxx's touch felt new and fun and she didn't have the feeling of being forced into anything. Why couldn't she feel this free and fun while being with Seokjin?
Her eyes moved to the bar. She could see the back of the red-haired girls head, but Seokjin was nowhere to be found. She shook her head; he had already dumped Yaeeun. What a pity.
Jaxx's mind was racing. This was his friend he was grinding on! He didn't know if what he did was right... Meredith was broken hearted and under the influence. He didn't want to take advantage of her broken heart like this.
"Stop overthinking, Jaxx" Meredith suddenly said. "This isn't changing anything between us. We're friends and friends can dance like this." Jaxx looked at her. "But what if I want more after this dance?", he whispered and grabbed tightly onto Meredith's waist again. He pulled her closer to him.
"What if this wakes something inside me, Meredith?"
Meredith looked at Jaxx, but before she could say something, she felt someone grab her right shoulder and harshly shove her out of the way. Meredith stumbled and almost fell onto her arse. She steadied herself and lifted her head just in time to see Jaxx getting harshly pushed.
"Take your fucking hands off her you dick!", Han Seokjin yelled and lifted his fist to hit Jaxx. Immediately sobering up, Meredith rushed to her ex lover and her friend and tried to push Seokjin away from Jaxx.
"Hands off, Meredith" Seokjin growled and wanted to lunge at Jaxx, but the Australian was quicker and head butted Seokjin really hard. The sound their heads made, make Meredith stop in her tracks.
"You disgusting eshay!", Seokjin called and Meredith hissed. "Don't call him that!" Meredith looked over to Jaxx, blood was dripping from his forehead. "So I'm the eshay but you fuckhead cheat on girls left and right and force them to fuck you!"
Jaxx lunged forward and Meredith took a step back. She watched Jaxx push Seokjin on the ground and beat him. Her eyebrow twitched as she saw blood cover Jaxx's fist. Seokjin was fighting back.
But their fight didn't go unnoticed. Three bouncers came running and grabbed the two boys and a fighting Meredith and dragged them outside of the club. The bouncers were holding on to the boys, while the siren of a police car came sounding from the distance.
"You called the fucking police?", screamed Meredith and looked at the bouncer that was holding her. "Of course we did, young lady. Do you think we let you beat yourselves to death?"
Meredith tried to get away from the bouncer. She couldn't afford getting into trouble with the police. But then she remembered; Seokjin was studying law. He would get in massive trouble for stirring up shit with the police.
A manic chuckle left her lips and she relaxed into the arms of the bouncer. Maybe it was the alcohol, the adrenaline or the realization that Seokjin's life was basically over, but something in her clicked. She laughed out loud and turned to Seokjin, who was basically trying to get out of the bouncers chokehold.
Jaxx was quiet, trying to stop the bleeding on his forehead. His brown eyes hushed over to Meredith and he looked at her apologetically.
"Seokjin" she called in Korean and her ex-boyfriend looked at her, "your life is over, you stupid asshole. You can basically drop out of uni for this action. You stupid, arrogant dick!"
"Fuck you, Meredith!", Seokjin answered in English. "Next time I'm hitting you instead, you fucking bitch." The bouncer gently shoved Seokjin. "Shove him harder. Let him feel it!", Meredith hissed when the police car stopped in front of them.
Two officers, a man and a woman climbed out of the car and looked at the three college students. "What is this?", the man asked. The bouncers let go of the three and went back inside the club. Jaxx was getting paler and holding on to the cut on his forehead.
Meredith looked at him. "Is it possible that we can see a doctor first? He has a bad cut on his forehead that needs to be patched up" Meredith nodded at Jaxx, who was losing a lot of blood.
"And me? What about me? Look at my lips and my nose, Meredith. THEY'RE BROKEN!"
"Shut your fucking mouth, Seokjin!"
"Shut it!", the female officer yelled. "An ambulance is already on its way. Young lady" the woman turned to Meredith, "get in the car." - "But—"
"Get. In. The. Car", the woman repeated and Meredith let her head hang low and got into the police car. She looked at the boys in front of her. Especially Jaxx. She felt a wave of regret washing over her. It was her fault, that Jaxx had to protect himself because of Seokjin.
She looked at her hands. She should've intervened. She should've pushed Seokjin away from Jaxx and not watch him beat Seokjin to a pulp. But it felt sadistically nice seeing the person who hurt her, getting equally hurt.
This evening turned wrong in so many ways.
When she reached the police station, the officers there took her statement and she had to wait in a cell until Jaxx and Seokjin came and gave their statements. They took her phone and all her belongings and while Meredith was sitting in the cell she finalized the thoughts of finally moving away from Australia once she finished her degree.
She had enough of this place. Even if it meant she had to leave Jaxx, who finally put a smile back on her lips after four weeks of agonizing pain.
She stayed alone in the cell for a while until the door opened and Jaxx was rather harshly pushed inside. Meredith immediately stood up and looked at the same-aged boy. His face has gained a bit more color and the cut on his forehead was taped.
In the way too bright light of the cell Meredith could see a bruise on Jaxx's jaw and under his eyes and her heart sank.
"Oh, Jaxx" she whispered as he walked over to her and rested his head on her shoulder. "I'm so sorry, Jaxx. This is all my fault."
"It is not" Jaxx mumbled into her shoulder. "If we would have left when you said, Seokjin wouldn't have seen us." - "Mer, we can't run away every time he shows up someplace." He lifted his head and looked at her. "I was afraid he would hurt you, that's why I head butted him." Jaxx looked at Meredith. "I told the police, that I started the fight."
Meredith gently shoved Jaxx off her. "Why did you do that? I told them he lunged at you and you just defending yourself! Jaxx, why did you do that?" Jaxx looked at his hands. There was still dried blood from where he hit Seokjin's face.
"It would ruin his life, Meredith. He's studying to become a lawyer. When he is accused of personal injury, he would get kicked out of school and his life would be over. I can't be the reason for someone's life being ruined."
"He ruined my life though, Jaxx. He hurt me. He betrayed me and cheated on me in my bed. He hurt me. He deserves getting his life ruined, he deserves to rot in hell."
Jaxx looked at Meredith with tired eyes. "I'm sorry, Mer. I told the police I hit him first."
Without saying anything else he sat down on the bench on the cell. Meredith looked at him and pain welled up in her chest. "Jaxx" she started, tears pricking at the corners of her eyes, "I thought you were on my side."
"I am on your side, Meredith. But I did something stupid! I shouldn't have head butted him!" Jaxx's voice got louder and Meredith gulped and sat down next to him. "Seokjin's going to charm the police so he looks like the victim here", she said.
"I know."
"He's going to get away with nothing. Not even a penalty or shit."
"I know."
"We're going to get a penalty. Especially you."
"I know, Meredith."
Silence washed over the duo. "What if you have to stay locked up?", she asked and turned to the boy. "I called my parents when I got patched up. They're ready to bail me out in case."
"But Seokjin's going to sue you for bodily injury."
"My family has very good lawyers too. He's not the only one with a little bit of cash on the side." He smirked at Meredith, a cheeky smirk and Meredith was glad she had her friend Jaxx back. "Listen, Meredith" he said and the honey-blonde woman looked up. "If I get out of here alive, I want you to grant me a wish. It's nothing big, just something that blossomed up in me earlier and I would like you to grant me this wish. Is that okay for you?"
"Anything you want, Jaxx. I would get the moon and the stars for you if I had to."
Jaxx smiled. "Thank you, Meredith." And with these words he nodded towards the cell door. The female officer was opening it and looking at Meredith. "You can go, Miss Seo. Mister Miller and Mister Han both claimed you as innocent. You're free to go."
Meredith gulped and turned to look at Jaxx once more. "I'll be alright, Mer. Go home and relax. I'll see you on Monday, I promise." Meredith's eyes fell onto the police officer, when Jaxx said that and she saw the disbelief in the woman's face.
Jaxx wouldn't come out on Monday. She knew.
