CHAPTER 19
CHAPTER 19:
Snake in the grass.
Quinn
After the altercation with Hawk yesterday, I definitely wanted to be far away from him. So I decided to join Robby and Sam at the beach club. After their little show at Valley Fest, I immediately left afterwards and got into a small fight with Hawk through text.
Eli: I told you to wait.
Me: and I'm not your property, so I left.
Eli: They're just using you, they don't want you, Quinn.
Me: i can say the same thing about Kreese.
Eli: He's your grandfather!
Me: and I wonder why my mom has kept him away. Oh wait, it's because he's fucking crazy.
Eli: don't be like that.
Me: leave me alone, leave Sam alone, and leave Robby alone.
After that, I blocked him but couldn't help going through our old texts to reminisce on the good times.
"Nope!"
"S-Sam-!"
"That's only going to make you miss him more, trust me," And plopped my phone in her bag.
Miguel seemed really upset that Sam blocked him, messaging me about it and asking what he should do. Like any sane person, I suggested he apologize since he did hit her and he was drunk, but also ask for her side of the story since holding hands with another guy isn't the greatest thing to see.
Hopefully someone listens to me for once.
"Let's go get some snacks, I'm starving," I got up and followed Sam, unaware of the daunting presence watching me with disgust.
"Hey."
"Hey," Aisha greeted, clearly not down for small talk.
Awkward.
"So, how's it going?"
She sighed, "You realize we're not okay."
"What are you mad about? You guys are the ones who stomped all over our Valley Fest Demo."
"Only after your father attacked our dojo. What were we supposed to do?" Aisha retorted.
Communicate, maybe.
"He didn't attack you guys."
"No? "Snake in the grass"? Real subtle," She pointed out.
"He's just trying to do the right thing."
And I'm trying to get some pudding.
"What, so Cobra Kai's wrong?"
"It's not wrong, it's. . .what are we doing? It's our summer vacation. We're at the beach, and we're fighting about karate?"
"When we should be fighting about boys. Speaking of boys," Aisha looked at me, "you've got Hawk all twisted up, girl."
"How?"
"Holy shit, you're talking?!" Aisha almost shouted and I eagerly nodded with a smile.
"H-how? When did it happen?"
"A f-few days ago," I admitted shyly.
"That's great! I'm so happy for you!"
___________
"You must be the famous Quinn Kreese?" Tory Nichols asked me, eyeing me up and I shrunk back at her gaze.
"It's Quinn Moore."
"So she does speak," Tory smirked.
"It took Quinn six years to speak again. She had a rough childhood," Sam quickly cleared that up.
"So did I, but that doesn't mean I went all quiet."
"What is your problem?" I questioned. I barely met this girl and she already has beef with me. And stealing from a place like this surely would get you some jail time.
"You. Hawk can't concentrate during training because all he can think about is this girl who ditched him."
"She didn't ditch him, she found him making out with some girl," Sam retorted.
"And if you're such good friends, why doesn't he know why you didn't speak?" It was a topic that not even Hawk or Demetri knew. They figured my father abused me and that's why I didn't speak, and that's why he went to prison.
But it went so much deeper than that.
"I don't need to explain myself to someone who comes in here to judge others just because your parents decided not to try harder," I snapped.
"You little bi-"
"Do we have a problem here, Miss?" One of the staff asked Tory, looking her up and down.
"N-no, no problem."
"She was just confused, Amy," I grinned, "She thought she had a Black Card pass."
Oh god I'm stooping so low.
Tory glared at me before rolling her eyes and walking past us, making sure to bump our shoulders on the way back to Aisha.
"What a nice friend she's made," Sam said through gritted teeth.
What other kinds of 'friends' is Hawk making?

Hope you enjoyed! I REALLY need your guys help on this. Should I use Camila Mendes or Danielle Rose Russell as the faceclaim for my Miguel fanfic??
