As I slipped on my apron, Ari rushed up to me. "Holy shit! So it's official?" She squealed, jumping up and down like a little girl. My eyes widened at first, wondering what she was talking about. "What?"
"You and Harry." Claudia smirked as she walked into the employee break-room, wearing the same employee attire I was. I felt my cheeks start to warm up, slipping a notepad into the pocket of my apron for orders I'd be taking soon.
"Oh, yeah... yeah." I laughed lightly, pushing my hair back into a ponytail and tying it off with a hairband that was wrapped around my wrist.
The girls squealed as Carly made her way into the break-room. "Why the squeals?" She asked, laughing as set her coffee mug on the table.
"Avery's got herself a boyfriend." Ari and Claudia teased, giggling. I playfully rolled my eyes, "Oh shut up!"
"You're dating the fabulous Harry Styles, Avery! That's definitely something to be excited about." Carly commented with a smirk, picking up a rag from the shelf. "Hey, Ari, could you scrub down the countertops real quick?"
Ari groaned, reluctantly taking the washcloth from Carly, grabbing the cleansing spray, and making her way out of the break-room.
"Girls, as much as I'd love to sit here and fangirl with you about Avery's new relationship, we have some customers to serve." Carly chirped, and Claudia and I nodded with long sighs following.
We all made our way out into the main area of the shop, behind the counters where Ari was scrubbing up the coffee creamer spills. Here's to the next four hours, right?

With each passing minute after the clock struck 6:30, I watched the clock tick by, which really only resulted in time going slower than usual. I just wanted to get out of here and go home.
As soon as the big hand hit seven, I spun around on my heel as I made my way back into the break-room to gather my things. I took off my apron, hanging it up on the rack for my next shift.
I picked up my bag, before saying goodbye to Carly, Ari, and Claudia, and made my way out the back entrance of the building. I threw my shit into the passenger seat of the car, quickly getting in the driver's seat and igniting the engine.
The whole car ride back home was a blur as my thoughts took control the entire trip. At a red light, I stopped the car, resting my forehead against the steering wheel.
All I could think about was Louis, and my still strong feelings for him. I hated it. The only thing I want is for him to get out of my head. I'm with Harry now, I shouldn't be thinking about another guy and having feelings for him, especially my ex-boyfriend. The only guy in my thoughts should be Harry.
A car horn beeped behind me, causing my head to lift up quickly in shock, seeing that the traffic light had switched to green. I pressed down on the gas pedal with my foot, sighing softly as I continued down the road.
Pulling into my driveway, I was thankful as ever to get out of the car. I quickly gathered my bag before heading inside.
Harry and the rest of the guys, besides Louis, were all sitting on the couch, watching a game of football. They were cheering and shouting all at once, which I'm assuming was meaning that the team was either winning or losing. When they heard the door open, their heads all shot over to my direction.
Harry stood up, making his way over to me. "Are you alright, love?" He asked as he noticed the glum expression on my face.
I nodded 'tiredly', "Yeah. Just tired out from work. I think I'm going to go upstairs and shower before heading to bed."
"Okay... I'll come up in a bit, yeah?" He smiled softly down at me, placing a kiss on my forehead. I nodded again, before walking off up the stairs, not bothering to say another word to any of the other guys.
I honestly don't know what happened to my mood. It just kind of dropped after I left work. It's more or less been this way for awhile now. I'd be completely okay around my friends and everyone, but when I was alone, it's like I started breaking inside.
I quickly changed out of my uncomfortable work attire, throwing the clothes into the hamper to wash later on tomorrow. Getting into something more comfortable was definitely the best option.
After changing into my sweatpants and short sleeve shirt, I let my laziness take over, preventing me from getting a shower. So, instead of going through that process, I threw my hair up in a messy bun.
Facing my stand up mirror, someone knocked on the doorframe. I looked at the reflection through the mirror, seeing Louis standing there. "Hey.. what's up?"
He walked in the room casually, nodding as a form of hello. "Nothing, nothing. You okay?" He asked as he shut the door behind him.
I shrugged slightly, looking down at my hands that were linked together in front of me as I played with them. Louis walked over until he was standing behind me, his hands resting on my hips. "You don't look alright."
Squeezing my eyes shut, I tried my best to prevent tears from forming in my eyes. I quickly spun around to face him, wrapping both of my arms around him tightly and burying my face into his chest. Louis tensed up at first, but soon enough his arms wrapped around me as he hugged me securely. His chin rested on the top of my head, comfortingly rubbing my back.
I missed moments like these. Them times where it was Louis and I against the world. It was just us, and honestly, nothing else had mattered. Now, it was a completely different story. He wasn't the one holding me at night until I fell asleep, and even throughout the entire night. And part of me hated myself because it was partially my fault that the situation wasn't like that anymore. My fault because I didn't give Louis his second chance.
Louis pulled back slightly from the hug to face me, reaching one of his hands up to wipe away the tears that had spilled from my eyes. I blinked a few times, trying to clear my vision as I looked up at him. Louis' gaze fixed on mine, his hand not moving from my cheek.
"I love you, too." The words spit out before I could think clear enough to keep my mouth shut. Louis' eyebrows raised in pure surprise, his arms tensing around me. "W-What?"
Well, I couldn't stop myself now. "I love you more than anything. God, I fucked up. I should've let you explain rather than my stupid self running off and going back home while you all were on tour. I'm so so so sor-" I rambled on, but was suddenly cut off.
Louis' hand went to the back of my neck, leaning forward and crashing his lips onto mine. I almost melted into the kiss, but his other hand was basically supporting me from not falling to the ground.
"I love you." He murmured quietly, moving both of his hands down to the back of my thighs and picking me up, my legs wrapping around his torso. He carried me over to my bed, carefully laying me down on the blankets, before laying himself down beside me.
"I love you." I finally responded, turning over on my side to face him. He smiled, pushing back a strand of hair that had fallen in front of my face.
Something about this moment had felt so wrong, but as well as so right. I was officially classified as a cheater. My idiotic ass cheated on my boyfriend with his best mate, who just so happened to be my ex-boyfriend.
Yep, my seat in hell is now reserved.
Louis and I laid there for awhile, just staring at each other. I could only wonder what was going through his mind, and I guarantee he was wondering the same thing.
I knew I had to do something now about Harry. He would be broke if he found out about what had just happened. I had to end things with him somehow, no matter how much it hurt either of us. And sadly, more him than me. If anyone deserves to go through heartbreak, it should be me. Especially by now.
Eventually and finally, I had felt my eyelids start to get heavy, before falling asleep with Louis' arms around me.

When I woke up the next morning, I was alone and without Louis. I felt myself starting to panic, thinking that all of last night was just a dream. But when I saw the note on my bedside table, I knew it wasn't one.
I propped myself up on my elbow, leaning over to grab the slip of paper that was laying on the table.
When I picked it up, the familiar scribbled handwriting read:
Remember, I loved you first.
