25.

It's been about three months of the guys being on tour so far. Since I've never been in the states before, it truly was an experience for me so far. And it was only the beginning.

We've been to New York, which was the kick-off for the tour. We've been to Pennsylvania, Massachusetts, Georgia, North Carolina. Basically most of the east coast.

Tonight, the lads were playing in Chicago. But, not an arena. They were playing in a stadium! If I remember the name correctly, it was the Soldier Field Stadium.

The boys have been very busy lately, having to rehearse so they could be prepared, and so the sound systems in the stadiums and arenas were working properly. We've all had a lot of free time, but there was also a lot of work that needed done so their concerts could be a success.

The concert was starting at 7, and even though it was only 6:00, there was already plenty of people waiting in their seats.

The lads were all huddled in a group, having their headsets and earpieces on. They put each of their hands in the middle, doing a little chant. Then, their hands all flew back. This was a normal routine for the band before each concert.

Louis came over to me, and I gave him a good luck kiss. He shot me a little wink, before turning and running onto the stage behind the rest of the boys.

Harry's POV
All the time - I had to sit back and watch them two fall for each other. I hated it with every fiber in my body.

But, of course, I would act like everything was okay. Like nothing bothered me.

I couldn't have the boys worrying about me. And I especially couldn't have the fans worrying about me, either. That'd be chaotic.

We were all getting ready to run off onto the stage, and as I waited for the others, I saw Louis run up to Avery and kiss her. I sighed to myself.

"You ready, Harry?" Niall came up behind me, slapping me on the back which made me jump from my thoughts.

"Yeah, I'm ready." I took my gaze off the couple, readjusting my earpiece to fit my ear better.

Niall gave me a sympathetic look, "I know it bothers you, Harry."

Shrugging, I waved my hand in the air like it was nothing. "What? Them? Nah. I'm completely fine."

"Whatever you say, Harry." Niall sighed softly, and then it was time to go out on stage.

All five of us ran on stage, full of enthusiasm. But the only thing that was on my mind was Avery Lynn Payne.

Avery's POV
After the show that night, everyone decided for a random celebration. So, that celebration consisted of us going to the local bar for a few drinks. Liam and I both insisted on staying sober, which wasn't unusual. If I was in England still, it'd be a different story. But over here in America, you have to be 21 of age.

Liam and I were sitting down on the bar stools, watching the others goof off on the dancefloor, half drunk already.

"May I get you anything?" I heard a voice from behind the counter. I spun around in my seat, looking at the bartender.

"No, I'm good." I said almost quietly. The man had tattoo sleeves, and several facial piercings. He looked around my age. I would say - he was fairly handsome, but not my type. Besides, I had Louis, and I was happy with that.

Speaking of Louis; he was out on the dancefloor, dancing drunkly with Harry. They both stumbled slightly as they did their signature dance moves they always did in their videos and interviews.

After the song ended, Louis walked over to me, grabbing onto the counter for a bit of support. "Hello, lovely."

I looked up at him, chuckling and shaking my head playfully. "Louis, you're smashed."

He waved his hand in the air nonchalantly. "Pssh, nah. You're drunk, love."

That caused me to giggle. As immature as Louis was when he was drunk, he was still quite entertaining.

"Dance with meee." He slurred, taking my hand in his and attempting to pull me off the stool. I shook my head, laughing. "I can't dance, Louis. Sober or drunk."

"Neither can I! C'monn." Louis giggled like a school girl, which only fueled my laughter even more.

I looked over at Liam, almost searching for an answer. He nodded, having a chuckle coming out of his mouth as well. I sighed, before standing up. "Okay fine. But only one dance!"

Louis cheered, jumping up and down and taking my hand again, dragging me to the dancefloor. The music slowed down just in time, and couples started gathering together on the floor.

Louis' arms made their way around my waist as mine went around his neck. He pulled me closer to his chest, resting his chin on top of my head.

We swayed back and forth in a comfortable silence, and for a second I could believe it if someone said Louis wasn't completely shit-faced.

"You make me so happy.." Louis said quietly, just loud enough for me to hear. His voice was filled with passion and love, and it was so gentle.

"I can say the same thing.." I said at the same volume, resting my head on his shoulder. I could already see the smile that was plastered across his face.

"I lo-" Louis started to say, but our romantic moment was interrupted when a drunken Niall stumbled up to us.

"Aw, look at the love birds!" He cooed, obviously teasing us. I felt my cheeks heat up, hiding my face in Louis' chest to prevent someone from seeing.

The one thought that crossed my mind was what Louis said. Well, almost said. Until Niall stepped into the conversation. Was he going to drop the three words? That could determine our entire relationship of the past 4 months?

All I could do, was shake it off. Tonight was supposed to be a good night, and that was the plan. I wasn't going to let my overthinking ruin that for me.
