Jungkook barely managed to keep track of the day of the week and time. He another long week overthinking before Monday finally arrived and classes resumed again.
He barely even managed to wake up on time before heading to campus. It was his first time leaving his house in two weeks now.
Upon arriving, Jungkook didn't go sit with his friends in the cafeteria in the mornings like he usually did. Instead, he headed to the office where students were lined up to receive their new schedules for their new semester classes that they had chosen.
Upon receiving his schedule, Jungkook looked down at the list of classes he had chosen before making his way to his first class. He hoped he wouldn't run into any of his friends or exes or even worse, have a class with them.
Much to Jungkook's luck, his first class didn't have any familiar faces. He let out a long sigh of relief before taking a seat beside a random student.
"Wow, first day back and you don't look so good," the student said.
Jungkook turned to his left to face a familiar looking guy that he'd seen walking around campus before but never learned his name.
"It's been a long winter break," answered Jungkook. "And I've seen you around before, but I never learned your name."
"My name is Yugyeom and my winter break sounded like it was so much better than yours. Tell me, how bad was it?" Yugyeom asked curiously as he leaned forward on his desk.
"I found out that my ex-boyfriend cheated on me with my boyfriend that I was dating," Jungkook replied, finding no reason to lie or give a vague answer since Yugyeom didn't know him.
"So you're not dating your boyfriend anymore?"
Jungkook shook his head no. "It was a messy breakup."
"Oh wow, that's um...an interesting way to spend the holidays," replied Yugyeom before turning back around in his seat to face the front of the class as the teacher had walked in.
At the end of the class period, Jungkook was getting ready to leave, but an arm held him back. Jungkook looked back, raising an eyebrow at Yugyeom who had stopped him.
"You never told me your name."
"Jungkook."
"Jungkook," Yugyeom said. "Well, I'll see you around."
Jungkook nodded as Yugyeom let go. They headed their separate ways to their next class. Jungkook once again hoped wouldn't have a class with his exes or friends, but luck wasn't on his side this time.
He forced himself not to make eye contact with Jimin or Hoseok. Jungkook could feel their stares burning into his back as he walked past them and took an empty seat beside another student.
"Um, there's two guys staring in our direction and I don't know if they're staring at you or me," the guy beside Jungkook spoke.
Jungkook didn't look up, afraid to catch Jimin or Hoseok's gazes or both. He turned his gaze to the student beside him. "They're probably staring at the people behind us."
"Oh, yeah most likely," the student said. "And by the way, you don't look so well."
Jungkook sighed. "I know, another student mentioned it to me in my last class. My winter break didn't go so well, but anyway, what's your name?"
"Bambam," the student replied.
"I'm Jungkook."
"Cool, you wanna be friends?"
Jungkook shrugged. "Sure."
When the teacher walked in the classroom, Bambam and Jungkook turned their attention towards the front all while he felt stares at the back of his head. He should have seen it coming. Jimin and Hoseok were in a dance class together last semester and this was a class about the study of dance.
At the end of the class, Jungkook was walking out with Bambam, discussing their classes together when Jungkook heard his name being called.
"Jungkook!" Hoseok tried to grab his arm to stop the said male, but Jungkook quickly walked away.
"I guess he and the other guy were actually looking at you," said Bambam. "Are you ignoring them or something?"
"Something," replied Jungkook, not wanting to give many details. He just said wanted to get away from Jimin and Hoseok.
Bambam nodded. "Well, this is where I leave you, my class is in this direction."
"Okay, see you around," replied Jungkook before hurriedly walking away.
At the end of the hallway, Hoseok stared at Jungkook's retreating back that disappeared once he turned the corner. Hosoek looked back at Jimin who was standing behind him with a sulking expression.
"What happened that night on New Years'? Did Taehyung actually cheat on Jungkook with you?" Hoseok asked.
Jimin slowly nodded his head. "We broke up."
"But that still doesn't explain why he's been ignoring his friends for two weeks and making new ones," said Hoseok. He let out a long frustrated sigh before he began to walk away from Jimin and towards the direction of his next class.

By the time lunchtime came around, Jungkook's friends sat at their usual lunch table.
"Has anyone seen Jungkook today?" Seokjin worriedly asked. "It's been two weeks since we saw and talked to him."
"I have," replied Hoseok. "He's in my study of dance class with Jimin. He totally ignored us and made a new friend, not that there is anything wrong with making new friends, but he totally ignored me.
"He ignored you?" Yoongi asked.
"I don't know why Jungkook ignored me, but Jimin told me that they broke up and that Taehyung did cheat on Jungkook with Jimin."
"It's no wonder I haven't seen Jimin either, but that still doesn't explain why he's ignoring us," said Yoongi.
"Right, something must have happened," Namjoon added.
"We would have known the reason if you hadn't made us go back to my house," said Seokjin.
"Being persistent isn't always good though," Namjoon replied.
"Whatever, that doesn't matter. I'm more worried about Jungkook."
"Speaking of which," said Hoseok as he gestured with his head in the direction of which Jungkook was entering.
All four friends watched as Jungkook walked into the cafeteria with a school-bought lunch he held in his hands. They noticed Jungkook wasn't looking at them as his eyes glanced around the whole cafeteria.
"Is he not going to sit with us?" Seokjin asked.
"I don't think so," said Namjoon.
The four friends continued to watch as Jungkook's steps slowed down, as his eyes kept glancing around the cafeteria.
"What is he doing?" Seokjin asked. "Jungkoo-"
"Jungkook!" Another student called out, interrupting Seokjin. They motioned for Jungkook to come sit with them at their table to which Jungkook quickly obligated.
Seokjin stared with his mouth agape and a hurt expression on his face as he watched Jungkook take a seat at another table.
"Oh, that's the guy who was telling you guys about," said Hoseok.
"So he's just going to ignore us?" Yoongi asked, sounding hurt. "Jungkook didn't even look at us."
Namjoon bit his lip, feeling guilty for making them leave that day they went to Jungkook's house. Maybe if they had stayed, they would of convinced Jungkook to let them in and talk.
Throughout the rest of the lunch period, the four friends kept glancing over at Jungkook all while Jungkook averted turning in their direction. He kept his eyes on the people sitting at the table around him.
"Wait, so you were in my dance class last semester?" Jungkook asked as he looked at Yugyeom.
Yugyeom nodded. "I'm sure we both recognized each other, but never learned each other's name. I was also dance partners with Hoseok for the performance."
Jungkook nodded his head, remembering how he totally ditched Hoseok for Jimin. "And you're also dating Bambam, right?"
"Right," Yugyeom and Bambam replied in unison.
"In most friend gatherings, they're always making out or flirting with each other," the student beside Jungkook said.
"Shut up Eunwoo, you're just jealous that you're single," Bambam shot back.
Eunwoo raised an eyebrow. "Who said I was jealous?"
"Your attitude says it," said Yugyeom.
Eunwoo rolled his eyes before turning back to Jungkook. "Anyway, these are the rest of us single friends," he motioned each person as they all introduced themselves.
"I'm Jaehyun."
"I'm Mingyu."
"I'm Dokyeom."
"And I'm Minghao."
"Welcome to our table bestie," Eunwoo said as he put his arm around Jungkook's shoulder and smiled.
Jungkook smiled back, feeling good about making new friends on the first day back from break. However, his old friends didn't seem to be too happy as they watched him smile with a new group of friends after ignoring them for two weeks.
"That's it," said Seokjin slamming his fist on the table. "I'm going over there."
"Hoseok get your man," Namjoon urged as Seokjin began to stand up, but was being pulled back by Namjoon.
"Why? We're hurt and we want to know why Jungkook has been ignoring us," said Hoseok.
"I agree with Hoseok," said Yoongi.
"No, Seokjin is more upset than all of us and he might make a scene," Namjoon said, struggling to hold Seokjin back.
"Well of course I'm upset. He's been my friend since high school and he's suddenly going to throw our friendship away without telling us why," said Seokjin as he fought back against Namjoon.
"Hoseok please," pleaded Namjoon, motioning to calm his boyfriend down.
Hoseok sighed before pulling his boyfriend back into his seat. "Are we just going to sit and continue waiting for him to come to us? Because that doesn't seem like it's going to happen."
"I'll go talk to him," offered Yoongi.
Namjoon shook his head. "No, it's my fault. I shouldn't have made us leave without talking to him, so I'll talk to him."
Seokjin mumbled something along the lines of 'I told you we should have stayed' before agreeing with letting Namjoon talk to Jungkook. Hoseok and Yoongi agreed as well after seeing that Seokjin had agreed.
"When will you talk to him?" Seokjin asked.
"After classes end," replied Namjoon. "I doubt he'll want to talk now, especially in front of his new friends."
Seokjin nodded. "I'm expecting my best friend back tomorrow."
Namjoon glanced back in Jungkook's direction, hoping to talk to him after classes, just as he promised.
