"There's literally one minute left until midnight!" Seokjin yelled excitedly as he stared at the countdown clock he had set up.

Everyone was huddled around Seokjin as they kept their eyes glued to his phone, counting down the seconds out loud together.

"If you have anything to say to me that you want to leave behind, speak now or forever hold your truth," Yoongi said as he momentarily stopped counting to glance at his friends.

However, his friends didn't seem to have anything to say to him as they continued to count down so, Yoongi just shrugged and went back to counting.

"Ten seconds left!" Seokjin yelled.

At the same time that Seokjin yelled, Jungkook could have sworn he heard a knock on his door. "I think someone knocked," he told Jimin before leaving his side to open the door.

As he did, Jungkook was surprised to see the person standing at the other side of the door. "Taehyung?"

"Five! Four! Three! Two! One! Happy New Year everyone!" Seokjin yelled before more screams of Happy New Year were heard.

"Uh...Happy New Year?" Taehyung said, sounding more of a question as Jungkook still hadn't snapped out of his surprised trance.

He couldn't believe it. Taehyung was standing right in front of him while his boyfriend stood a few feet away from him.

"Happy New Year, baby!" Jimin said excitedly as he ran up to Jungkook and pulling him into a hug before pressing a kiss to his lips, snapping Jungkook out of his trance.

Now, it was Taehyung's turn to be surprised as he stared at Jimin who had just kissed Jungkook and called him baby.

Jungkook was now staring wide-eyed at Taehyung after what Jimin had just done. However, Jimin hadn't seemed to notice Jungkook's expression or Taehyung.

"Who knocked?" He asked as he finally noticed Jungkook's expression before turning around and seeing for himself. Jimin's eyes nearly fell out of his sockets and he felt his heart drop as he saw Taehyung standing in front of him.

"Why are you two standing at the door?" They heard Namjoon's voice ask as he approached Jimin and Jungkook.

"Oh hello," Namjoon greeted as he noticed Taehyung before focusing his attention behind him. "It's snowing!"

"Snowing on New Year's?" Yoongi asked excitedly as he quickly ran to the door.

"What a great way to start the year!" Hoseok said as he and Seokjin followed Yoongi.

However, everyone stopped in their tracks as they stood at the door behind Jimin and Jungkook, staring at Taehyung in surprise before their expressions turned cold, except for Namjoon's. He didn't know who Taehyung was.

"What the hell?" Seokjin asked. "What are you doing here?"

Namjoon furrowed his eyebrows in confusion, not expecting to hear that tone of voice from Seokjin.

"I could ask the same about Jimin," said Taehyung as he looked at the said male. "What are you doing at Jungkook's house?"

"They're dating," answered Seokjin. "And you weren't invited so, I didn't know what you're doing here."

"Dating?"

"Yeah, and last time I checked, you broke our Kookie's heart," said Yoongi as he stood behind Jungkook.

Taehyung let out a humorless laugh. "Yeah, I broke Jungkook's heart, but so did Jimin."

"What are you talking about?" Jungkook asked as he stepped forward, eyebrows furrowed together in confusion.

"Wow," Taehyung said he met Jimin's gaze who seemed nervous. "You didn't tell him?"

"Tell me what? What's going on Jimin?" Jungkook asked as he grabbed Jimin's arm to get his attention. "What is Taehyung talking about?"

Jimin broke his gaze from Taehyung and cupped his boyfriend's face while holding a sincere look in his eyes. "Jungkook, you know I love you, right?"

Before Jungkook could answer, Taehyung was quick to reply, "Jimin said that to me too. He told me that he loved me."

"What?" Jungkook asked, feeling more confused as he removed Jimin's hands from his face. "What's going on?" He asked as he looked back and forth at Jimin and Taehyung.

"Jungkook, break up with Jimin."

"What? Why? Is it because you suddenly now care about me after we broke up?" Asked Jungkook looking at Taehyung in disbelief. "I'm sorry that you misunderstood my words and actions, but I'm dating Jimin now and-"

"I cheated on you with Jimin."

Jungkook's eyes widened as he turned to Jimin. He seemed to have some trouble breathing as he had a hand placed on his chest while taking heavy breaths. "Jimin, are you okay? Is what Taehyung saying true?"

"Of course it is, I kissed him and we fucked all while he knew about us dating," said Taehyung as he watched Jungkook's expression turn into a pained one. "Jimin suddenly cut things off with me after your dance performance and I wondered why until I came to your house and found out you two are dating."

Jungkook wasn't sure if he should believe Taehyung or not. He turned to Jimin for any sign of denying, but instead found Jimin closing his eyes and falling. Before his head could hit the ground, Jungkook quickly caught him. "He fainted," said Jungkook as his friends stepped back to allow Jungkook to bring his boyfriend inside.

Taehyung voluntarily let himself in since it was cold outside. He made sure to close the door behind him before standing awkwardly, unsure of what to do while everyone else panicked over Jimin.

"Do you want us to stay with him to make sure he's okay while you talk to Taehyung?" Asked Seokjin.

Jungkook shook his head as he glanced at Taehyung. He motioned for him to come over. "No, I also want to talk to Jimin after he wakes up."

"Okay then, I think it's best we head home," said Hoseok.

Yoongi, Namjoon, and Seokjin agreed and collected their belongings. Before going out the door, they all glared at Taehyung, except for Namjoon who offered him a small smile.

Once everyone was gone, Jungkook was alone with his ex who looked unsure of what to do, and his current boyfriend who was passed out. He sighed before mumbling sarcastically, "What a great way to start the new year."

I hope everyone started off their year better than Jimin, Jungkook, and Taehyung did
