Jimin stirred awake from his sleep, rubbing his eyes as he adjusted to the light source coming from the lightbulb on the ceiling.

Sitting up, Jimin found Jungkook sitting at the table with his hands in his hair and his head lowered in between his arms. Jimin couldn't see his face and he also didn't see Taehyung at all or none of Jungkook's friends. It was just Jimin and Jungkook.

Jimin let out a small sigh of relief. It was all a dream, he said to himself as he recalled himself fainting after seeing Taehyung.

"Jungkook?" Jimin called out softly as he stood up from his couch and slowly approached his boyfriend.

Lifting his gaze, Jungkook stared at Jimin through his tearful gaze. "Jimin, you're awake," he said wiping away the tears from his eyes.

"Why are you crying?" Jimin asked worriedly. He outstretched his arm to wipe away the tears that Jungkook missed, but instead, his hand was pushed away.

Jimin frowned and attempted to try again, but Jungkook shook his head and once again pushed Jimin's hand away. "I'm crying because you hurt me. Taehyung told me what happened."

Jimin felt his entire body freeze and panic settle in as he stared fearfully at Jungkook. It wasn't a dream.

"Why did you do it?" Jungkook asked. "Why did you pretend to be my friend and date me if your intentions were to date Taehyung?"

Jimin let out a shaky breath as he attempted to keep his emotions composed. He took the empty seat beside Jungkook before he began to explain. "Taehyung was my best friend, but after the first year students party, I thought Taehyung and I could be more. As you know, you caught us in the bathroom together."

Jungkook nodded. "Taehyung explained that part," he said, not wanting to hear that Jimin sucked of his boyfriend at that time again.

"Well, because of what happened in the bathroom, Taehyung and I started to hook up more. That's where I thought I was falling for him. I wanted to date him, but he was dating you. I pretended to be your friend to try to break you two apart because I was growing impatient that Taehyung hadn't broken up with you."

"Did you ever love him?" Jungkook asked.

Jimin shook his head. "No, I confused my feelings for lust."

"Is that what also happened with me?"

"Jungkook," Jimin softly spoke reaching out to hold Jungkook's hand. "I know that what I did was wrong, but I learned to love you. Ever since you cried to me in the bathroom after seeing and hearing Taehyung for the first time since your break up, I began to fall for you. I wanted to hold you, protect you and comfort you because I really did love you."'

"If you would have really loved me, you wouldn't have tried to comfort me with a lie," said Jungkook, pulling his hand away from Jimin's hold. "You should have told me the truth."

Jimin swallowed the pain he felt after Jungkook pulled his hand away from his. "I didn't want to hurt you."

"Look where it got me!" Jungkook shouted, sounding frustrated and hurt. Jimin looked startled from his sudden outburst so Jungkook took a shaky breath before composing himself, not wanting to shout again. "I was heartbroken because Taehyung broke up with me and I thought you were my friend, but the truth was, you were causing me more pain without me realizing it."

"I cut things off with Taehyung after realizing my feelings for you," Jimin attempted to defend himself. "I did it after our dance performance together because I didn't want to keep hurting you."

"Even so, you still continued to hurt me by not telling me the truth," said Jungkook.

"Jungkook," said Jimin reaching out to hold Jungkook's hand again. "I'm sorry okay, I can't change what happened or what I did, but I love you,  like really love you."

Once again, Jungkook pulled his hand away from Jimin's hold. He clasped his hands together in his lap before confessing something as well. "Jimin, I know you love me. Even after what happened, I can tell that you genuinely love me, but I didn't feel the same during our relationship."

"What do you mean?" Jimin asked, feeling heartbroken.

"You told me you loved me and you let me use you to forget about Taehyung, but I felt guilty because I still loved him. I'm such a hypocrite," Jungkook let out a humorless laugh. "I told Taehyung that relationships weren't about sex, but here I was, having sex with you to forget about him. I lied to you and myself by saying that I loved you. I thought that eventually, the lie would turn into a truth, but it didn't."

"I can wait," said Jimin, sounding desperate. "I can wait for you to learn to love me back."

Jungkook scoffed. "Jimin, I don't want to learn to love you. I don't want to be dating you anymore. I don't want to be with someone who hurt me."

Jimin's heart felt like it had been shattered into a million little pieces. Tears streamed down his face as he got on his knees and apologized multiple times. "Jungkook please, I'm sorry."

Jungkook shook his head, swallowing painfully as he watched Jimin look so heartbroken. He knew the pain Jimin was feeling, but Jimin had hurt him more. "I can't date you anymore, Jimin," he said as he helped him off the ground. "You should go now."

"Can I at least kiss you one last time?" Jimin asked through tears as Jungkook handed him his jacket before accompanying him to the door.

Jungkook shook his head no as he opened the door, feeling the cold breeze from outside. "You can't kiss me because we broke up."

Jimin sadly nodded, "I know my words can't change my actions, but I want to apologize again. I'm sorry for hurting you, Jungkook."

Jungkook turned to look to his side, refusing to look at Jimin in the eyes. It pained him. "You should go now," he repeated.

Jimin nodded, giving Jungkook one last sad stare before turning away and walking home with nonstop tears streaming down his cheeks.

Like Jimin, Taehyung walked back home with tears streaming down his face. His mind kept replaying the memory of Jungkook's hurt expression after finally telling him the truth.

"Taehyung, I loved you so much. Even after you stopped saying it back, I still kept saying it in hopes that you would say it again. Now, after you what you told me, I realize why you stopped."

"Jungkook, I'm sorry-"

"Don't," Jungkook cut Taehyung off. "Don't apologize, apologizing won't fix my broken heart."

"Please, I didn't mean for what happened at the party to happen. I made a mistake, I should have locked the bathroom door to avoid Jimin coming in."

"Would that of really changed things? From what you told me, you got hard and because you couldn't control your horny ass, you let your best friend take care of it. Maybe if you had just locked the bathroom door that wouldn't have happened, but what if it was on another occasion? You would have probably done the same."

Taehyung lowered his gaze shamefully knowing that Jungkook was right. He would have probably made the same mistake again.

"Do you still love me?" Taehyung randomly asked, peeking up at Jungkook through his lashes.

"Are you seriously asking me that right now after finding you that lied to me about what happened at that party?" Jungkook asked, sounding frustrated.

"I just wanna know," Taehyung said. "You told me that you still had feelings for me while dating your boyfriend, except I didn't know your boyfriend was Jimin.

"No, I don't," Jungkook answered truthfully. "Someone once told me that in order to move on from you, I needed closure and I guess learning the truth was the closure that I needed to lose my feelings for you."

"Do you still have feelings for Jimin, then?" Taehyung asked, pretending not to be hurt by Jungkook's words.

"What does Jimin have to do with me not having feelings for you?"

"I just don't think it would be fair if you did because you might forgive him."

"I never loved Jimin as more than a friend. I tried to make myself believe that I did, but it never worked because I loved you, past tense as I no longer love you," Jungkook explained. "And after all the lies both of you told me, I don't think I can forgive you guys for the pain you guys caused."

"Jungkook, I'm really sorry-"

"I told you to not apologize," said Jungkook cut Taehyung off again. "Stop apologizing, you already told me the truth and I told you how I now feel about you, so just go. Jimin will probably wake up soon and I want to talk to him alone as well."

Taehyung hesitantly opened and closed his mouth several times, unsure if he should say what's on his mind, before getting the courage to finally say it.

Taehyung already had on his jacket as he hadn't taken it off since he arrived and stopped at the door. Before he left, he turned back and said, "I love you."

Taehyung stared at Jungkook's back, waiting for Jungkook to say it back even though he knew Jungkook wouldn't. Sighing, he opened the door and stepped out before closing it behind him and walking home.

Before, Jungkook used to tell Taehyung that he loved him and not get a response back, but now, it seems that the rolls have now switched.
