Two hashiras were in the kitchen making dinner, Rengoku was cutting all the vegetables and meat. while (y/n) cooked it. The two were in a comfortable silence. The sound of water boiling and the knife filled their ears.

"Sooooo kyo-san what's your mission about?"

The girl asked, finally breaking the silence.

"Haha glad you asked (y/n)-chan! I'm going with the 3 new boys on a train, apparently people have been going missing on it."

" I see, well stay safe please. I heard they go pretty fast so you might fall off!"

"Haha of course (y/n)-chan!"

the wisteria hashira had never actually been on a train, everything she knows about them is second hand information. for all she knows trains could go super slow.

"Haha okay thanks kyo-san , but if you keep laughing like that my heart is going to melt!"

The girl said dramatically, putting a hand to her forehead.

"Ahhh no (y/n)-chan don't let your heart melt over me, how will you fall in love then?!"

Oh how wrong our boy was, the poor wisteria hashira has fallen in love a long time ago. And if we're being honest with ourselves (y/n) would let her heart melt for him any day of the week, for whatever reason.

"E-Excuse me (l/n)-sama, the sound hashira is h-here to see you and rengoku-sama."

One of the helpers said before letting the tall, loud man in.

"Ah my forth wife I need a favour."

Why did tengen call her his forth wife? Honestly both of them don't know, one day it just started happening and then it just didn't stop. Although (y/n) and uzai didn't mind this on going joke they had, rengoku surely did.

"What is it? Do you need help with something tengen-san?"

"Ah yes I actually need some help with making dinner, you see I know it's not that flamboyant.... but I don't know how to cook."

"I see.... kyo-san is it okay if tengen-San eats with us."

She looked over to see kyo-san really focusing on the vegetables he was chopping really harshly, almost as if he wanted to ignore something.

"Kyo-san did you hear me."

She said as She poked his shoulder, this made him jump but he soon looked back to me with his regular breathtaking smile.

"Of course (y/n)-chan! I mean it is your estate. Who would I be to say no?"

"Haha I guess you're right."

The girl turned back to tengen-san to see him looking pretty happy. I mean it was either this or not eat today, so he made a good choice coming here. Although (y/n) isn't a wet good cook either, her food was still edible.

"Oh um tengen-san if you don't mind can you set up the table for everyone."

The wisteria pillar said, pointing to the stack of china plates and cups.

Everyone here in the estate usually eats together. While all the helpers eat in the other room.

"(Y/n)-chan! I finished cutting everything, do you need help with the cooking now?"

"Uh I'm almost done everything, so you can just sit at the table with everyone else now!"

After She said that he kinda just awkwardly bowed before leaving the room.

Maybe I made him uncomfortable in a way. I should apologise, wait what if I didn't that would be weird if I just walked up to him and said sorry. I shouldn't do it, but what if he's waiting for an apology?? What do I do them, oh my why is everything so complicated! Maybe I should just take dinner to them. Yeah I'll just do that.

The (h/c) haired girl walked out of the kitchen, holding some pots and pans. She was carrying so much it obstructed her view. If she was any normal village girl she would probably of dropped everything, ruining the food. But (y/n) wasn't, she was a hashira! Even though she didn't believe herself to be. She was quite capable to carry a few dishes.

"(Y/n)-chan let me help you!"
"Wifey! let me help you!"

The two males stared at each other. What do they do now? Just both grab the same pot? Well yeah that's exactly what they did.

"Ah tengen it's fine I can help (y/n)-chan. Go Sit down and rest."

"Ah no you have a mission rengoku-san let me help so you can rest! It wouldn't be flamboyant of me to let you do it."

The kids and (y/n) stared at the two males who seemed like the where having a psychic fight. But one of them had to be the bigger person.

"I see, well (y/n)-chan let me help you with serving the food!"

Tengen looked over to the pot in pride, he had shown his dominance.

"Hey no! Rengoku-san I always help. (l/n)-san with the food!"

Shinra interrupted him before grabbing the pot from tengen. Both the men were silent. Tengen Sitting down and looking at the ground, although rengoku still had his usual smile he was still a bit embarrassed. The atmosphere wasn't ideal but everyone could manage it.

"So mr rengoku-san where are you going on a mission for?"

Maki asked with her mouth filled with rice.

"Ah I'm going on a train with some young boys, apparently some people are going missing on there."

"That's so cool mr rengoku! mr tengen are you going on any missions?"

The flamboyant man thought for a bit.

"Well I'm going on a few boring missions here and there, nothing special."

everyone continued to eat in silence, with the occasional small talk here and there. It wan't awkward or anything it was just peaceful. everyone quickly finished up. tengen and (y/n) went to go wash the plates, rengoku stayed with the kids. putting some to bed and helping others wash up. most people would guess he's really good with kids, ever since his mother died he's sort of been the one to take care of his little brother. So this came natural to him.

as soon as all the kids were done rengoku came back into the kitchen to see tengen and (y/n) finishing cleaning.

"hey (y/n)-chan can i talk to you outside when your done?"

"oh yeah sure kyo-san, tengen-san and i were almost done."

rengoku deiced to just wait for the girl outside while she and tengen dry the last plates.

"that was a pretty flamboyant dinner, i hope to eat with you again."

"Thank you, tengen-san"

....

"Anyway I should be on my leave."

He grabbed her hand and kissed it.

"Goodbye my wife."

He left the girl with a Tomato for a face, how rude of him.

(Y/n) POV

Wow wait what I mean what I don't wow what happened I how like I mean what okay wait no I need to meet kyo-san but wow tengen he just. Wow.

I speed walked to the door to the garden outside where kyo-san was. I didn't want him to wait too long.

"Ah (y/n)-chan you're here!"

"Yeah, sorry for keeping you waiting."

It's really cold, how did he stand out here for 5 minutes?

"It's fine, I have all the time in the world to wait for you!"

I chuckled at this, kyo-san was always so charismatic.

"Anyway I got you this."

He handed me a beautiful hairpin with a wisteria flower on it. It was so nice to just look at it. I wonder how much money he spent on this.

"Why did you get this for me? It looks so expensive, I hope you didn't spend too much money on this it. Wait how do you remember I wanted one of these! I'd thought you would've forgotten by now."

"Well it doesn't really matter how much I spent on it, I just wanted to get you something special before my mission."

Kyo-san is so nice! I can't believe he got this for me.

"I see. Well thank you so much kyo-san! I promise to wear it for the rest of my life."

His smile seemed to get so much bigger after I said that.

"Thank you so much (y/n)-chan! But may I ask you something when I get back from my mission. And I would like you to just call me kyo or kyojuro from now on, I don't need the -san anymore!"

What is kyo-san- I mean kyojuro, whats is he going to ask me when he gets back? Is he going to ask me to do something for him or maybe he wants to stop being friends and that's why he got me the hairpin so I don't feel so sad. Why do I keep talking to myself??

"Of course kyojuro! I'll be waiting for you then."

He nodded and then left me alone with my thoughts.
