"Alright I'm ready to go!"

The female said to him as she grabbed his hand.

"Okay! Let's get going. This will be so fun!"

The girl nodded her head.

It was around 9 at night and it was getting pretty dark. The two slayers decided to stay at an inn for the night.
Lucky for them they were just at the town they were meant to be in.

"Ah you two must be the demon slayers, come in, come in!"

An old lady said, beckoning them to follow her inside.

Why was she waiting outside? If she knows about demon slayers then she for sure knows how dangerous it is to be out at night! What if she's planning something?! No don't be ridiculous (y/n) you're just paranoid!

(Y/n) had an uneasy feeling in her stomach, but it's okay she's with rengoku! Things will be fine.

"Of course miss! We would love to."

Said rengoku, bowing to the old lady.
The slayers walked in, and were lead to a room with 2 futons prepared for them. The old lady closed the door, leaving the two alone.

Wow! Sharing a room with (y/n)! Maybe we can have a pillow fight.

Rengoku's smile grew just thinking about it.

"Hey kyo-san, don't you find this weird? I mean how she knew we were coming, how she had 2 futons prepared..."

"Haha! Don't be silly (y/n)-chan. We're at an inn, the beds are meant to be prepared!"

"Yeah I guess you're right, I don't know maybe I'm just paranoid."

The man gave her a hum in response before noticing the food next to the door.

"Woah! I don't remember this being here, but I starving! Let's dig in (y/n)-chan!"

The male hashira said as he shoved some rice into his mouth.

I don't remember the food being in here either, but okay....well no maybe not okay, maybe she's up to something? Or maybe she's just fast? Or maybe food just comes in every room? A small door to slide it in perhaps? Possibly a-

"Hey (y/n)-chan, I have a question!"

Rengoku voice interrupted her thoughts, leaving her a bit startled.

"Uh! yeah go for it."

"What are you going to do if muzan if defeated?"

If muzan is defeated?! I've never thought of that. It seems so unlikely that we'll be able to do it! I mean for goodness sake I'm a pillar, that's really saying something. But maybe id settle down with someone?

"I'm not very sure, I've never really thought about it. But I would probably settle down, maybe become a farmer or something, or a housewife."

"That's a good one! I also hope to settle down and look after my brother, and my dad if he lets me!"

Rengoku's smile almost killed (y/n) every time she saw it, it was just too wholesome for her! I mean who could blame her though.

"Hey kyo-kun what do you think abou-"

"HELP!!!"

The hashira's quickly grabbed their blades and ran outside. there the demon was, the old lady holding a villager in her arms.

Rengoku's pov

"Haha I would of never of guessed that you were the demon! Good job on that!"

The demon hissed at me, before she dropped the villager.

"(Y/n) we got this! She isn't even a moon, so you and I should be able to do this!"

I gave her a thumbs up, she smiled at me. A good sign! looking back at the demon she was now in a fighting stance.

"Tch, don't get full of yourself kid...."

"(Y/n) please, go see if the villager is okay!"

"Okay!"

The demon couldn't care one bit about the villager and (y/n). She lunged at me with full force, I dogged it. Though I could feel the wind go across my face.

I should try get faster! Or maybe she's just really fast.

"Breath of flame Second form, rising scorching sun!"

I charged at the demon, Grazing her skin. I didn't get a deep enough cut so they'll heal faster, but that's okay! Even though they are faster I can still do this, I'm sure (y/n) is cheering for me!

"HA! Is that all you got kid?"

She asked before lunging at me for t been second time. This time she scratched my arm. Nothing serious though.

I should of rested for those 4 hours instead of training! Now I'm too tired. That's a bit disappointing kyojiro!

"Of course it isn't, I have more forms to show you! I hope you don't die before seeing them!"

"Breath or flame First form unknowing flame!"

I missed that one, a bit embarrassing but that's okay! Everything is fine.

"Trying to impress the little lady over here aren't ya?! Well don't get too cocky! You're going to be dying tonight so say your goodbyes!"

She said while giving me a smirk. I looked over to (y/n), she was blushing.

(Y/n) danced around the demon, creating a sort of hurricane around it, the purple petals slowly creeped in on the demons, with them cutting the demon slowly.

"Good job (y/n)"

I used this opportunity to slay the demon at last

"Breath of flame first form, unknowing flame!"

I hit this time, cutting the demons head off, I put my blade back and joined her
For the prey. I'm not a religious guy but I usually join her after skating demons

"Please be kind to her in the next life látom..."

(Y/n) and I then walked around looking for a different inn to stay at, having some small talk on the way.

"Kyo-san did you have trouble with that demon? because you missed a shot, that doesn't really happen to you."

"Not at all! I was just relaxed and tired, don't worry about me! But you did a great job!

"I- uh yeah thank you kyo-san!"

We walked more, and more, and more. Hoping to find another inn to spend the night at.

"Hey (y/n)-chan you never told me what that látom thing is. So what is it?"

We continued to walk looking for an inn

"Well it's kind of just a habit, I don't really know what it is. Ani-san just taught me to do it when I was first starting out."

"Wow! Your brother sounds really cool! Was he also a demon slayer?"

"Yeah he was! I think he did the 'làtom' to respect them in their dying moments, so it sort of rubbed off on me."

I hummed in response, still looking for an inn.

"Over there is one!"

She said pointing over to a slightly more modern building, for a rural area like here that is.

"Great find (y/n)-chan!"

(Y/n) and I went in and checked with the man running the place, apparently he only had one room left so that's perfect! We both thanked him and went into the room, to see one futon?

(Y/n) POV

Wait what 1 futon what wait no what um, what should I say to him??! Let's share! Not that's weird umm wait no then what should I say?!? I can sleep on the floor, yes YES! Good idea me, maybe if he wants he can spare me a blanket.

"Hey (y/n)-chan let's share! We've been friends for a while so it shouldn't be too awkward. Also it's only for one night! But if your not comfortable I'll sleep on the floor."

Should I say yes maybe, wait yes I should I don't want him sleeping on the floor, that would be cruel. But what if I kick him in my sleep! Oh no this is gonna be a disaster...

"Uh Yeah let's share! I don't want you sleeping on the floor."

He nodded and, wait is that a blush I see on his face!? No no you're just thinking too highly of yourself.

"(Y/n)-chan do you want to go outside for a bit before we go to sleep? You know just to get some fresh air first!"

We were just outside...

"Oh yeah, of course kyo-san."

Hm kyo-san is so nice.... he's always been so nice! Even when we first met. What did I even to do deserve to know him?

"Please welcome the new wisteria hashira (l/n) (y/n)."

I bowed.

"Hello I'm (l/n) (y/n), as o-oyakata-sama said, I promise not to get into a-anyone's way."

So many new faces, so much talking, so many opinions. Some hashiras stayed the same from when I first joined while other died or left. Most of the ones who aren't around anymore become a blur to me.

"Don't be silly (l/n)-san you wont be disturbing anyone, please let us get to know you first!"

All I could do was nod, I was so in awe. Everyone looked so powerful and perfect! How could I ever compare?!

"Yeah it wouldn't be very flamboyant of you to do that!"

A few people just nodded and hummed in agreement. At least no one was being out right mean to me.

"So (l/n)-san why don't we eat something tonight with some other the other hashiras!"

"Oh u-Um sure...."

"Ah it's rengoku kyojiro if you're wondering."

"Okay thanks rengoku-san, I'll make sure to be there."

He seems nice. Maybe I'll get to know him even better.

"Hey (y/n)-chan."

"What's up kyo-san, you're a bit quite compared to usual, are you sad or something haha."

"Of course not (y/n)-chan! People are just sleeping, and I don't want to wake them up!"

"Sure, sure. Anyway please go on."

"Ah yes I wanted to ask you what you would do if one of the other hashiras died."

Oh.....

"Well I don't really like thinking about that often, but my reaction would be different for everyone because I have different relationships with everyone. But I would probably ball my eyes out, or maybe train or something."

....if one of them died... what would I do?... what would I actually do?

"I see."

The two of us sat in a comfortable silence, admiring the night sky.

"The moon is beautiful, isn't it?"
