Loved by a Vampire

A sound of dried leaves and bushes came and alerted manik.

"Blood" manik mumbled.😰

Then only his eyes again turned dark and silvery with the smell of blood and a fear gripped and him of losing nandini again.

Then only nandini in a sympathetic tone called... "Manik. See... " 😬

And both of them saw a small creature running in their direction.

A rabbit came over there loathed with blood.

"Shitt. What happened ? " 😥
Nandini asked in a worried tone to rabbit.

Seeing the blood Manik wasn't able to control his urge to not grab the rabbit and suck all the blood out of it.

Manik groaned😣 silently as nandini took the rabbit in her lap as it got fainted in a second.

Nandu got more worried now.

" Manik we need to first aid it , see the rabbit has fainted. "

Saying this nandini looked at manik being tensed and due to pitch Darkness surrounding them and the source of light being only the sparkling Moon and the lights encircled around the tree were not really helping them.

But she saw a change in the way he was looking at the half alive creature with very unknown emotion in his eyes which nandini was not able to understand ,

But all she felt was

Weird. 🙄

She slightly shaked him.

" Manik ? " 😬

Now she raised her voice a little and this took him out of his world where he was so engrossed.

"Huhhh ?"

Seeing her eyes just made him got attentive about the fact that did she saw the change in colour of my eyes ? 😨
Or did she saw my canines slightly coming out of my lips?
Or my uneven breathing?

Shitt shittt shitttt. What the hell did I do? 😣😖

But her eyes. They calmed me. A peace which I was searching for all these years nandini.

" Manik we need to do the first aid. Come let's go. "

Hearing this manik just followed nandini like a lost puppy.

Manan went inside the cafe and opened the emergency room and started washing the excess blood from her hand and a little from the rabbit too and again seeing the red blood flowing on the basin again manik was getting out of his control. 😵😫

Now manik just closed his eyes but his nails grew out in it's shape to hunt.😑

Feeling this manik kept both of his hands at his back & stood at a distance and muttered curses to himself for not able to control after seeing the blood.

All what was going on his mind is to just tear the creature apart and suck on its blood and quench his thirst.😣

Nandini's voice took him out of his thoughts.

"Manik can u pass me the scissor from there ? I have to cut this Bandage"

He took a sharp breath and walked towards the table and took it not before making himself calm and his nails went back to his normal shape and gave the✂️ to nandini.

All manik was doing Was taking deep breaths and praying to the Moonlight goddess "Selene".

(***Selene is the Moonlight goddess. Mother of all Vampires. And a guardian angel. )

" Ohh moon goddess plse give me the strength. After years I m seeing the blood and it's natural for a vampire to get out of control when they see blood. But because of this lack of my control I lost my Nandu once. And now again the history is repeating itself , I dont wanna lose my control again and lose my nandu again by scaring her , not until the time I tell her the truth .

Oh Moonlight goddess. "

And the next moment when he opened his eyes , nandini was infront of him standing , smiling.

Manik enquired her.

" What happened? " 🤨

"Me? "

"Yes you ? Aur koi hai yahan pr humare alava ?"
He asked with a hint of teasing nandu.
And she looked here and there getting nervous 😬with the air around her now.

She looked at him and tried to change the topic to shoo away the nervousness.

" Woh... U were standing closing your eyes like that so i went outside and made a little shelter for the rabbit as it started breathing after aiding him. So tomorrow morning i will take it to the hospital and will take care of it after then till it gets on its feet and as usual it jumps & runs. "

She said everything with the happiness in her voice and the way she said it with the thought of the rabbit getting back to it's legs and being back to normal.

" Ohhhhh. " I was so speechless that only this sound managed to come out of my lips.

"Well nandini i wanted to say something to you, back there . Remember? "

Asking this manik stepped infront of her a little.

Seeing it and hearing his question just made her conscious now what will she do ? And what he has to say? And why his words are making me so conscious and nervous at the same time.

" Haan bolo na. "

"Uh-huh. I wanted to say that nandini... I..."

And by the time i could have finished saying what I feel for her and everything but suddenly lights switched on and off and outside the window we both saw the windy storm showing that the weather is gonna be bad now.

Nandini got tensed 😟 and knowing the fact that nandini is scared of the darkness he came forward as her back hit the chilled wall now and his hands on hers just made her felt comforting for her.
So even she didn't stopped manik.

" Manik... This... Darkness. " 😫

" Yes nandini I'm here only. Shhhh. M right here "
Manik tried to calm her and made her feel comfort while rubbing one of her hands and other one caressing her cheek.

As due to fear of darkness she shivered 😥 as some sweat beads were on her forehead.

Manik took out his handkerchief and wiped it and gave it to nandu.

" Nandu. Come here and sit. Have some water "

All was a live dream which was not really looking like a dream but more than that.
He wanted to take care of her.
And seeing his love in this condition is the last thing he would ever want to see.

He just rubbed her shoulder lightly while handing over the glass of water and seeing her breathing normally and calming down slowly, as when she emptied the glass he took it and was going to keep it on the left hand side table , as he felt her fingers holding his fingers all this while.

He smiled 😊.

A genuine smile.

Manik sat down besides her as still the lights in the room were blinking due to weak connection of the electricity.

As he took her hands in his and in the moment nandini kept her head on his arm.

"I'm always there with you nandini."
Thinking this he again went back to his sweet yet blissful memories which they both had.
How she used to lie besides him , cuddling him whenever she wanted his attention.

Nandu was just blinking her eyes lightly and there was a mirror infront of them. As both of them can see themselves in it in their sitting position also.

But when Nandini's eyes travelled from the window to the mirror what she saw made her scared to the death.
