Storms come, ruin everything and then, what's left behind is silence, mournful silence. No one had any idea how to break this silence. What could they even say now, when everything was ruined. They had made someone's life a living hell by their taunts, their eyes filled with hatred. Aand now, only guilt, and pain of repentance was left behind. But it was nothing as compared to the pain they had given to Anika.

After knowing the truth from Om and Rudra, Janvi and Priyanka cried holding each other's hands. They cried for having spoken ill about Anika. Janvi cried for lying to Shivaay and pushing Anika into the death well, for not listening to her motherly instincts that Anika wasn't bad. Priyanka cried for having stayed silent and not trying to now what was the truth and what not.

Om and Rudra cried, simply because they didn't stop their brother like they would always do, they didn't want him to treat Anika the way he did, but it was also a victory truth that they didn't foxes him to stop doing it the way they used to do in the past. In a way, they let him do whatever he was doing.

Amidst all of this mess, there were two souls who had no idea what was happening. They just wanted Anika to be fine soon. One was Kalyani Singh Oberoi, and the other was Gauri, Anika's best friend.

Before a few hours, Kalyani had thought that everything was more than fine. She had thought, that her wish was finally fulfilled. She was still unaware of the real matter, but seeing everyone's tear stricken faces, she understood that this time, her Billu had done something very wrong.

His own face told the tale of his blunders, the only difference was, she had sensed that this time he had crossed all his limits because never ever he had cried this way. He had never tolerated someone shouting at him and today, she couldn't believe her ears when Om told her that this girl, Gauri, was shouting at Shivaay and even slapped him so many times, but he stayed silent.

After so much of struggle, Gauri thought she will be able to meet her best friend, the one who was like an elder sister to her more than her friend. But her hopes shattered badly when she returned to Mumbai a month ago. She never wanted to leave Anika alone at the first place, that's why she had even denied to accept the scholarship she had been offered to complete her Fashion designing course, simply because she wanted to be with Anika, she was like her family and like an elder daughter to her parents who were in Bareily.

How could she even accept that worthless scholarship for which she had to shift to pune, when her priceless friend was here, in Mumbai. But then, Anika got to know about her blunder and she had to get a lecture from her for two long hours. At the end, she was forced to go and pursue her dreams.

They were in touch in those two years, but two months ago, she could no longer contact Anika. When she came here in Mumbai two months ago, she tried to find Anika but her efforts went in vain. Harsh and Neelam never told her anything despite her threats, warnings and even pleadings, something she had never done, infront of these two, atleast.

Today, when she went to Trivedi house once again, she overhead the conversation between Shivaay and Harsh. She was going to shout at both of them when Shivaay started beating harsh. She was puzzled, and when Shivaay took Anika's name, a ray of hope shone that may be, he knew about Anika's whereabouts and that, she's fine. But only half of her hopes came true, Shivaay knew about Anika, but she wasn't fine.

She wished, if she could go and slap Anika for putting her own like at stake for someone else. Not that she hated the old lady, but she loves her best friend more than that and she was ready to be selfish for that love.

She wished she could be as stubborn as Anika, because then she could have stayed here with Anika. She wished if she could be as stubborn as Anika, so that she could force her to wake up, so that she could ask Anika to hug her and comfort her the way she used to do.

As if, God listened to her prayers that the nurse informed them about Anika being conscious. That very moment Gauri barged into the ward and stared at her best friend's pale face. Her tears flowed down her cheeks but not even a word dared to escape her throat. This was the first time when she was seeing Anika in such a vulnerable state. Otherwise, Anika was her inspiration, her idol because of her positivity, her courage.

Anika's drowsy eyes, when spotted Gauri sitting beside her, she smiled. It was a small smile, but it was reflecting her immense happiness. Everything else had faded away with only her best friend being on the focus of her attention. Gauri was like an oasis in Anika's deserted life. She had thought, that she would never be able to see her, but she was seeing her sitting right beside her.

"I told you, that I don't want to go away from you, but you didn't listen to me. I hate you so much, I hate you so much. I hate you I hate you I hate you to an extent that I end up love you so much." Gauri cried and hugged Anika like a baby would hug her teddy.

"Oh God ! My marshmallow hates me. Now who would I call my 'Pink mouse' ? I'll have to find someone else." Anika exclaimed and questioned herself, over dramatically, making Gauri roll her eyes at Anika's poor acting skills, "Dare you even think of doing something of that sort, it's only my right to be called with a nickname by you. And don't try to act smart with me, I won't forgive you for what you've done to me and more than that, to yourself. I'll surely punish you." Gauri reprimanded Anika playfully.

"But before punishing you, I'll kill your Chacha Chachi for what they've done to you and to Dadi. They just... how could they sell yo..." Gauri bit her tongue and mentally slapped herself for blabbering this way. Only if she knew, that Anika wasn't shocked to hear that. She used to think that her Chacha Chachi were rude but not cruel. But when they left her Dadi in a government hospital to die, she realised that she was wrong all her life and now when Gauri spoke all of this, she took it casually.

"Although they are already punished by that Blue eyed man, but I will also do something to satisfy my burning heart, but before I punish them, I'll break that blue eyed man's bones. I'll hit him with a screwdriver directly into his eyes." Anika smiled, as she knew this was just another drama of Gauri to make her smile and she replied, in a soft voice, "It wasn't his fault, he believed what he heard and what he saw. Afterall, no one in this world would be a fool like me to trust her heart and expect something good when her mind knew, that the heart was trusting the wrong people."

"Wait ! What did you say ? He punished them, but why ?" Anika asked, confusion written all over her face and Gauri told her about whatever had happened back in Trivedi Mansion and how he threw them out without a single penny.

"Whatever ! I don't care what he did or what not. But I'll surely make his nose bleed with my punches and I'll pull his hair in way that he will turn bald. And I'll surely beat him with your chameli... hey ! that reminds me, your new chameli is quite pretty and..." Gauri blabbered while looking at Anika's footwear and then looked at Anika who was laughing hard and that made her smile, too.

"What ? I'm not joking, I'll surely do all of this." Gauri defended herself, only to burst into fits of laughter on hearing Anika's words, "I know you'll do this, and he will turn bald... a bald kanji eyed (Grey eyed) bagad billa !" and both the best friends continued to laugh until Anika's stitches started hurting her and she winced in pain.

A small whimper from her mouth was enough for Shivaay to rush into the room as he was standing at the door, looking at Anika from the small and round glass window and listening to the two best friends' conversation.

Anika forgot her pain and her laughter died down in her mouth as soon as she looked at Shivaay for a nano second and then, turned her face to look at something else.

"Sh..shall I call the doctor ?" Asked Shivaay nervously, as Gauri's eyes frightened him. But more than that, Anika's face that showed no emotions, hurted him. Does it hurt this way when anyone ignores you, or is it hurting me because that anyone is Anika ?" he thought.

Instead of getting a reply to his question, he was asked by Gauri, to get out of the ward. He was disappointed, because this female bouncer of Anika wasn't ready to listen to him and not even letting him see Anika properly.

"I don't want to waste any time on punishing anyone, I just want to meet Dadi now. I hope she's fine." Shivaay heard Anika's voice as he was about to step out of the ward and he feared her reaction when she will get to know the truth.

After an hour, when a nurse helped Anika to the washroom, Gauri stepped out of the ward to bring her medicines from the hospital pharmacy. Shivaay, seeing her outside, almost ran towards her to tell her what he couldn't even think of telling directly to Anika.

"Anika's Dadi is no more, Gauri. She died this evening."
