CHAPTER TWELVE
PRINCESS'S POV
Just a few more hours before the party starts, and my Parents have surprisingly refused to leave the house.
I plan on looking for an excuse to leave, and my only excuse as to why I'm having a bag should be because I'm going to Felicia's house.
My parents knew that was the only place I saw as a second home, but because we've not been in good terms for over a month now, it's been a different scenario.
My mom is a dedicated nurse in Federal Medical Centre, Ibusa. And so, she never really had time to build a personal relationship with her only child. My dad however believes a man's responsibility is to provide for his family.
Convincing them wasn't all that hard. I was sure she wasn't going to call Felicia's mom to confirm if I was there or not because I never had a reason to lie about going there. Well I have now, and Roger is the perfect reason.
Roger is tall, about 6'2 ft and has a full hair dyed black with a touch of gold.
I'm crazily obsessed with him not just because of his physical appearance but his demeanor and how well he treats me, he calls me queen and I must say that's something I love hearing. In conclusion he's perfect and I wonder why Felicia always wanted to find a reason to think otherwise.
I wouldn't have seen him in a different angle if I kept on with How Felicia portrayed him.
He's not even all that bad , he only called her a sick girl.. and, she's sick after all.
Pardon me, but I'm not sorry. I'm just angry about the fact my Mother asked Felicia if She should send me to a private University because of my low score, and Felicia said
"Mum, what Princess wants to study is a core course and 127 is not near a passmark. Even with all the money and connections, it's safe to say she might not cope. I hear alot of stories of how 200 nursing students are admitted, but only 25 get to pass. These stories should make her know it's more than just getting in"
I felt disappointed because she was my only hope to get into school and just because she was denied admission, she dragged me into the mud with her.
Then she comes to tell me not to see Roger but she's seeing Philip or whatever his name is.
PHILIP'S POV
I know I'm supposed to have apologized for using her flaws to her face.
When she told me she felt Like the earth should've swallowed her, I thought I knew how she felt.
I think the most confusing thing that can happen to a person is not knowing what exactly is wrong with you. And damn, idk.
"He dun send am o" Emeka shouted alerting everyone including my mom who was praying.
"Emy, What's this noise for?
"Maale, no vex" he replied non chalantly
After she left I stayed back till he said he was going to Shayo.
As a Nigerian youth, It was a common term.
