some girls dressed slutty

mom fixed that .. made them wear clothes

most girls adapted

they'd dance with the men

serve beer .. drinks .. play the jukebox

smiles were all around

i'd peek from the room

liquor storage room .. my home

hardly got to sleep

jukebox played so loud

the kids often woke at night

hard for them to sleep

all in all .. bills paid

meant maybe something to eat

life sure did stand still
