Chapter 32
Yoon Min, Myeong Jo and Yian were walking together, chatting and mainly their destination was Yoon Min's chamber. Myeong Jo and Yoon Min wanted to study together and Yian thought to tag along as well. Though she might spend the entire time sketching Jungkook. She was beautiful at it.
"So you're saying you want to give Jimin Seonbae a gift out of nowhere. That's crazy." Yian shook her head in disappointment.
Myeong Jo tried to defend herself, "No, I mean, he's been really good to me and I'm the one still awkward around him. So I thought giving him a gift might convince him I want to be with him."
Seeing her friend claiming a good point, she asked in anticipation, "Okay, so what does he like? No, wait. Tell me what is his ideal date?"
Surprisingly, she answered straightaway, "Sitting on the bench, drinking, holding hands...mostly a countryside date."
She nodded like a scientist and gave a sharp advice, "Do that."
Myeong Jo widened her eyes and exclaimed at her friend, "Date? You want me to ask him on a date?!"
Yoon Min wasn't an expert in dating services so she just nodded along with a few hums. Practically, she had her own problems with someone.
Yian pretended to block her ear from her yelling and replied, "That's the first step of giving him a gift, you idiot."
They reached her chamber and before they could enter inside, they were stopped by an anonymous, unexpected pink note attached to her door. Yoon Min blinked ten times to actually believe what she was reading.
"I want to speak to you about something. Please visit my office when you see this.
--KSJ"
Myeong Jo and Yian started attacking Yoon Min tons of questions when she herself was clueless. She took the note in her hands and read it once more for no reason. Her mind was filled with many thoughts as well but the one that mostly poked her was,
Did he perhaps want to finish their unfinished activity?
Biting her lips to prevent a shy smile, she just shook her head and looked at her friends, "Why don't you guys go ahead and wait in my room? I'll go have a quick talk with him."
"Yeah, yeah we get it. Jin Seonbae's making everything so obvious."
And like that, she was left outside by her friends, speechless.
Scoffing lowly, she made her way towards his office. She occupied herself in guessing what had he planned for her this time. Even thinking a little bit about him made her smile shamelessly. Lately, he's all she thought about. After all, they were really close now. As if their lives were bonded by the string of inescapable destiny.
It took her some time to reach his office. On the way she had to help Senior Guardian Yoongi deliver some heavy bunch of papers to the department store as he was struggling to carry them. Poor guy, he must envy the word Tall.
Clearing her throat and brushing her hair gently, she knocked on his door and asked for permission to come inside. Surprisingly, there wasn't any answer. She placed her ear on the surface of the door to hear any sound of his movements or breathing. But it was dead silence in there. He wasn't inside.
Weird..why would he call her there if he was not gonna be there?
"Maybe he left for some work." she was also late in the first place.
Turning back slowly, she was about to walk away but that's when a poisonous substance passed through her veins, consuming her whole chest and spinning her head; within a few seconds, she dropped to the floor unconsciously and encountered darkly danger once again. The last thing she saw before closing her eyes was a presence lingering around her and silently smirking for the remarkable trick used to capture her soul.
-------------
Beomgyu was sitting with a bunch of guys, just chilling and having a glass of tequila. Though his sharp eyes had noticed two familiar figures running here and there for quite some time now. Curiosity was in his blood so he bade them goodbye and walked to them casually. Getting hold of one of the girls, he asked calmly,
"Hey, what's wrong?"
Myeong Jo seemed relieved when she saw him. With a bright hope, she asked him quickly, as if nothing mattered more than this, "Did you see her?"
Beomgyu tilted his head sideway, "Who?"
She sighed and raised her voice loudly, "Yoon Min! She's missing!"
The mention of her name mentally panicked his mind but he remained calm in front of her. She's missing?Again? His eyes grew wide as he stared at her, blankly.
"We were supposed to study together and she had to meet Jin Seonbae for some reasons. That's the last we saw her and now we cannot find her anywhere." she informed him more.
Beomgyu didn't have an easy feeling about this. He knew; he knew from his gut that she was in danger. Be it with Seokjin or not. He just felt it in his blood and veins. Without wasting another precious second, he marched towards somewhere as if he knew where he was going.
He raced through the corridors, quickly searching for her in every corner and direction though he knew the girls already tried to find her. Luckily, he found the man he wanted to see right now and marched towards him with restless breaths.
"Where is she!"
Seokjin immediately stopped what he was doing and glanced at the guardian, taking long, heavy breaths for running a lot. His mind refused to think right now, but what did he mean by she?
"W-who?"
He sighed and yelled at him, which caught the attention of a few residents, "Song Yoon Min! You told her to meet you, right?"
Seokjin wondered if he had grown old actually. No one ages in Love Universe though. So there's no chance he would forget anything. He knotted his eyebrows, arms holding his waist.
He didn't call her.
"I didn't tell her anything." he answered calmly, still not able to grasp the whole situation.
Before Beomgyu could add more, Yian butt inside them and showed him the pink note.
"It's yours, right?"
Seokjin examined the note sharply. It didn't take him long before he confidentially denied, "It's not mine. The handwriting is s-same...but I don't remember writing any such thing."
Beomgyu was frustrated by his answer; he thought Seokjin was messing around when it was a crucial time.
"Don't you get it? Yoon Min is missing! She went to meet you in your office and now she's like nowhere. You say it's your handwriting and then you say you didn't write it? What the hell do you mean?"
Seokjin's mouth parted away in fear, his insides rumbled inside. She was gone...again. The earlier event of her stuck in Earth was a memory he still didn't forget. He still could feel how scared he was then. He could've lost her. Now history repeated again.
Not knowing where to go or what he should do, he just followed his intelligent brain and proceeded to his office room. Beomgyu bit his lip and followed him too.
Reaching his office, there was a tiny hope inside him that she might be still standing there. His expectation was wrong and he found no one there. Beomgyu scanned the whole place quickly for anything valuable. This must be the last place she was.
Seokjin on the other hand felt like he was crumbling down. He almost felt his dead heart breaking down into mere parts of blood, thinking the worst results behind her disappearance. He couldn't focus on finding her instead his mind was full with horror thoughts of her in every dangerous situation.
While he was dozing off, Beomgyu seemed to notice something on the floor. He picked it up and to his fear, it was what he guessed.
Her watch.
"It's her...watch." his voice trembled while showing it to the senior guardian.
Seokjin took the watch in his hands delicately as if he was holding her. His eyes softened, thinking the watch used to be wrapped around her tiny wrist.
"I don't think she disappeared." Beomgyu looked devasted when he glanced at Seokjin. "I think someone abducted her."
His eyes grew wide in fear, because he didn't want to believe it.
"Whoever it was, he was wise enough to know her watch could be traced. So he took it off from her and just threw it on the floor."
As every second passed in silence, so was Seokjin growing anxious. He knew Yoon Min was in danger again, and it was his fault for not protecting her beforehand. Dread of losing her stuck him as a result he was being lifeless in fear.
He glanced at the pink note in his hand. Definitely he didn't write this. He was sure of it. Though the handwriting was same. There's no other possible way for this unless...
"I heard there's only one resident who is skilled in copying handwritings." Beomgyu cocked up his eyebrows and glanced at his senior.
Seokjin wasn't thinking straight, but a touch of information suddenly made his brain reflect on a face who was directly connected to this happening. His lips trembled a little, unable to even think it would be someone they never evem thought.
Oh no...
--------------
Silence and insensibility were encompassing her fragile limbs, with cruel intent to squeeze her to the pain of death, meeting both the darkness and loneliness once she opened her eyes half. It was so dark to an extent that not a single pinch of light could be seen nor a touch of warmth could be felt. Gasping for air in a suffocated, hard surface, her eyes moved here and there in search of anything but pitch dark. She was drowning in unlimited pain and fear as she was being embraced by nothing.
Cold.
She was freezing to death. Even in the dark, she felt herself covered in nothing but only a piece of cloth that was wrapped around her middle body, allowing the coldest air to touch her skin in every merciless way. As soon as she found a little energy inside her, she tried to wiggle out but that's when she realized her hands were tied behind her back with metallic chains.
The smell of chloroform was still lingering around her nose along with some nasty, rotten smells. Her head was still dizzy and memories were blurred out. Her eyes didn't spot any sign of light or hope.
Where was she?
Every time she tried to move, the metallic chains caused loud noises, enough for people about a hundred miles away to hear it. The little amount of energy she had was being used to protect herself from deadly coldness as she was crawled inside her body, innocently. There's no way for her to escape.
A large door was barged open, creating a thunder-like sound, filling the whole room with enough light. Yoon Min squinted her eyes away from the source of the door and let out a groan. She tried to figure out the huge, monstrous body standing in the light and unexpectedly, it did seem a little familiar to her.
That's when, all memories from earlier raced inside her mind, causing her to gasp in fear and move back a little, though her back was already touching a thin wall. She was captivated. She was taken away from the universe. She was in danger.
The figure stood still in the doorway, just to make her more scared and anxious of his worth. She slowly adjusted to the light and as soon as she saw the very familiar appearance of someone; it took her everything not to scream.
Ozul Vex...
"Well, hello again." Ozul's sardonic grin grew more and he approached her menacingly with every slow step.
His well-known fearful, scratchy voice made Yoon Min back away more, but her tied hands stood as an obstacle. Light fell over the room and she found herself locked in a small box of glass. And somehow, it was freezing inside painfully.
"Y-you--" she tried to threaten him out of rage. He coming back to life was already a shock to her. Now him standing in front of her was choking her silently.
Ozul's chuckle was still the same, "Honored to meet you too, Guardian Song Yoon Min. Should we call it fate that you are the lucky one to be captured in my hands?" he stood very close to her, the only thing that was in between them was the layer of the glass. Somehow, she was relieved because he won't be able to touch her. At least, not now.
With another large sound of her chains, she shouted though her voice broke due to the cold, "Y-you....how you..a-alive..."
"Simple darling. I just escaped. Your Princess thought I died by her stupid powers." he scoffed, remembering how he turned into a shape of black smoke and escaped before he could be ruined.
She shook her head still, unable to believe his existence.
"Why did you kidnap me? What did I do to you?!" she was afraid of what he would do to her. She was well-known of his merciless, tricky plans of torturing people. She went through them before too.
Her voice sounded stronger now due the extreme passion to save herself, "Let me go, Ozul!"
His devilish smirk disgusted her most, rendering her helpless inside the glass box of ice cold.
Ozul crouched down on the floor to her level and met her eyes directly through the glass. His demonic grin was plastered on his scar-filled face as he tapped on the glass a few times, just to make her realize there's nothing she could do.
She breathed fearfully, legs trembling in panic.
"How about we first tell you why you are here inside my spaceship?" He wasn't exactly asking her permission but he just asked to be dramatic.
Yoon Min was shivering inside. However, she tried to remain strong, determined in front of him while it took her all not to faint again in shock and horror. With another stutter, she managed to ask, "W-we?"
Her question somehow intrigued the villain to be proud and happy, as he exclaimed for no reason and clapped for her excellent question. "Oh, I always knew you are a smart one, Guardian. Since we have all the time by ourselves, how 'bout I introduce you to the person who brought you here?"
Yoon Min was left speechless. She thought he kidnapped her from the universe. There was someone else? And if it was some other person, that means it was someone from the universe.
As much as she was too excited, curious to meet the person, more like the betrayer; she was also scared to face him. What if he was someone she cared for?
Ozul grinned widely at her terrified reaction and proceeded with his plan. He stood up, still not breaking the eye-contact with the fragile guardian. With a proud, evil grin, he let out,
"Show yourself, my servant!"
By his order, there stood another shadow in front of the doorway, its figure still not clearly understandable.
But it took Yoon Min just 1 second to recognize the person.
She gasped in shock, no sound of her voice left her throat as she was too traumatized. Her eyes refused to believe it, so did her dead heart. Without knowing, a tear rolled down her cheek as she finally surrendered herself to weakness, and to betrayal. If your own loved person can act so well all the time and support you uncontrollably, and now stands against you as a traitor to your trust, you are bound to be in tears.
Yoon Min shook her aggressively and mumbled, "N-no...no, it c-can't be...."
Her tears drained her face, causing the cold to pain her more cruelly.
A mere whisper came out from her lips, the shock, the overwhelming feeling of treason broke her into pieces as she cried more this time. Why did it have to be her...
"E-Ella?"
