renjun was walking at jaemin's side. both had decided that they would go and talk to jeno in order to go back to normal. not that they believed it was possible, but they only wished jeno wouldn't be reticent about it.

so, there they were, approaching the boy they loved, who was currently laying on his back at the middle of the empty soccer field. he was too occupied with whatever he was doing that he didn't see the two boys arriving.

"hum... jeno?" the chinese asked, unsure of jeno's reaction.

the called boy looked at the two males in front of him and sat up, without saying a word.

"w-we wanted to know if it could be possible to... i don't know... get back together? well, not really, but..." renjun tried to explain. jeno only raised a brow at this absurd sentence.

"what renjun is trying to say is can we go back to normal?"

jeno's gaze fell on jaemin, making his insides all fuzzy.

"to normal?" he inquired.

"like the three of us, being friends, not caring about our feelings towards each other, and... yeah, back to normal." jaemin explained.

jeno rose to his feet.

"jaemin, i don't think you realise what you're saying. pushing our feelings aside? this is perhaps easy for you, but not for me." he spat.

"jeno. it's difficult for the tree of us, you know..." renjun said, causing jeno to look at him strangely.

"you told him?" he asked jaemin.

"what did you want me to do?" jaemin scoffed.

"are you two a thing now?"

renjun answered instead of jaemin. "no, we're not. we just want the three of us again. not only two jeno, but three. none of us is interested in 'jaemin and renjun' nor 'jeno and renjun' nor 'jeno and jaemin'. we want 'jaemin, jeno and renjun'. three of us."

what renjun had just explained had a double meaning, except jeno hadn't understood that. he only understood the friendship part, but renjun meant it as a loving relationship.

jeno sighed. "yes, i'm okay with it. actually, that's how i want us to be." he admitted, making renjun and jaemin happy.

that being said, everything was better: norenmin was back. not in the game of love, but simply in the game.
