"hi jaemin!" renjun exclaimed, throwing himself on the younger.

it was monday, meaning jaemin was back to school, and he hadn't seen renjun for a whole week.

jeno had asked renjun out, while both of them had agreed to go to a park on saturday afternoon, just after jeno had received jaemin's approbation to ask him out. now, the two of them were the happiest boys ever, holding hands, clinging onto each other every now and then, well, it was a cute sight to see.

however, jaemin didn't seem to be that happy about it...

when renjun jumped on him, jaemin accepted the hug, but retreated quickly, as renjun was his best friend's boyfriend now, meaning that he couldn't be so close to him anymore.

"do you feel better? i missed you last week..." renjun said, making jeno melt because of his cuteness.

jaemin hummed in aprobation and headed to his class, the couple on his heels, both holding hands and staring at each other with heart-eyes.

at lunch, when the three of them had met, jeno had noticed his best friend was duller than usual. he wouldn't be the one squeaking and joking like he used to. he seemed distant.

renjun was too excited by the fact he had the man he wanted to notice it. the chinese kept asking questions to jaemin, trying to make him laugh, and participate in the conversation, but jaemin wouldn't let a word leave his mouth.

one thing jeno noticed, which was very unusual, was that jaemin wasn't stuck to renjun or jeno anymore. no more skinship, and that was uncommon with jaemin, the boy who was always clinging on your arm, and whining as soon as you would stop paying attention to him.

after long minutes, renjun finally noticed the dull atmosphere.

"what's going on with you two?" he asked. "none of you have spoken a word since the beginning of the meal!"

jeno and jaemin had an eye contact, jeno looking intensely at his best friend. "you seemed to enjoy speaking, so i didn't want to interrupt you." jeno said, stroking his boyfriend's thigh, making him flush deep red immediately.

well, that sight was too much for jaemin.

"i have to get to class." jaemin said, jumping to his feet, grabbing the remaining of his meal and leaving the two boyfriends alone and dumbfounded.
