" Mr Avinash mishra is in Room 5 on third floor" The hurried girl took a storm towards the lift knocking down a nurse mumbling sorry as she passed by.

Heavy breaths and panting, the guard offered her water which she unintentionally denied. Her one hand dragged the suitcase and the next one she opened the knob and flooded inside hospital room.
Arru was completely drenched in sweat. She saw her mother on the other side of the room offering silent prayers to God. While on the other side her dad Avinash mishra was present. His posture so numb, eyes fixed at the ceiling surrounded by wires and computer screens. Nurse was injecting him , she saw Arushi, informed her about her dad's condition.

" How is he? " Nurse smiled apologetically. Arushi's whole world came crashing down. She understood what that mean.

" We tried surgery yesterday, he's surviving on anaesthesia but once that dosage is over, he.... " Arushi couldn't control her tears, she understood each and every thing the nurse meant.

She gazed at her mom and then at nurse. Nurse understood what Arushi meant " No we haven't informed her yet, we are so sorry we should have done it earlier but when she informed her daughter is flying down to India I thought about waiting for a while, ms. Mishra. "

" Don't worry, give her some time. I'll inform her myself. " Nurse left the room to give the mother daughter duo some space.

She wipped the tears that were formed in her eyes and hugged her mom. " Mom.. How are you? " She regretted asking this question to her. It's obvious she is not in a good state of mind. A crying mess. Arru quickly apologized "  Sorry mumma da-"
Her mom Cut her off in between.

" I know beta. I know he won't survive any longer. We knew it before the doctors or before the results came out" Dhvani Mishra sobbed quietly.

Arushi rubbed her mom's back and made her way to her dad who was lying on the bed hopeless and his eyes glimmered pain. She couldn't see her dad in such condition. As a docter she has seen much worse cases but her dad's situation shattered her heart into millions of uncountable pieces.

Arushi sobbed and quietly called out for her dad. He looked over at her direction and attempted to remove the mask he has been put on. Dhvani mishra was about to call after the nurse standing outside but Arushi gestured her to stop and removed the mask and pins attached to him herself and even changed his blood circulation pump. Perks of having a daughter who's docter.

*Arushi beta come here " Avinash managed to say it. Her beloved daughter hold his hand and started rubbing circles still crying slowly. She wipped the tears. "Beta, never blame yourself for what you are or what you did. Never consider yourself a bad daughter. You fulfilled all our dreams and never disappointed us. You are very smart and talented girl but beta you are very hard on yourself on emotions. Sometimes it's good to follow your heart then mind. Good things take time but remember never wait for the right time to do the right thing, we raised you well and strong enough to fight all the circumstances and problems world throws you. Good luck beta and take care of yourself and your mom. Remember I am always with you.  They hugged, for the last time. The machines started pumping fast. Arushi quickly put the oxygen mask over him nurses came inside and informed them it was time for his surgery.

" Mom if you and dad knew about each other why didn't you inform me about his state of health before " Arushi asked rubbing her head.

" If we would have told you, you would have left everything and came here " Her mother said numbfuck.

She looked at her mom as if she's for real. Which type of daughter would stay and enjoy a popping up romance in her life when her own dad is on the verge of losing his life.

She thought of ignoring it for now, they both are going through a stressful phase of life. It's not a good option to imply more questions on her at this time.

It was the moment, a phase where they feel the emotions of losing their loved one. Losing a part of yourself. They were ready for this news from the beginning itself but didn't expect it this early.

But that's life right, we lose people we gain people. We make memories we cry, we laugh. We hate, we love. At the end we live.

At mother daughter duo have to face this roller coaster of emotions of losing avinash, stay strong and start anew.
Thinking of love now arushi wonders what shubman might be doing but he's too far to come and be with arushi at this time. To away to take care of her sympathise her, love her.
