Kabir was still pacing the living room when Ayesha reappeared and whacked him hard on his arm.

"Ow," he yelped.

"Iski kya zaroorat hai?" (What was that for?) Ayesha scolded. "She was trying to help you."

"I told you I didn't need help," he told her. "But both you and Sunny refused to listen to me!"

"I don't care," Ayesha told him. "Jao, Dr. Raina se maafi maang." (Go, apologize to Dr. Raina.)

Kabir looked at her as if she grew an extra head.

"Tum yahaan kyun khade ho?" (Why are you standing here?) Ayesha scolded him. "Jao." (Go.)

"No," he replied and walked away.

"Kabir," she shouted at him. "That girl can ruin your life! Imagine if word goes out..."

"I don't care anymore," he shouted back.

Ayesha chased after him and stood in front of him, blocking his way. Kabir gave an exasperated sigh.

"Kabir," she said calmly. She needed to get through that thick skull of his. Since Kabir was already annoyed with the doctor for touching one of his most sensitive subjects, Ayesha realized that another shouting match wouldn't help. She had to do this the nicer way (a.k.a. emotional blackmail). "We're all doing this for your own good. We don't want to see you suffer like this. You can't blame Dr. Raina for asking, she's just doing her job."

"Well," Kabir snapped. "Ask her to do it better."

Ayesha took a deep breath. Her brother could be such a child.

"The reason we chose her was because she didn't know your past," Ayesha explained. "Sunny and I want someone who can do their job without prejudice or preconceived notions and Dr. Raina fits the bill. Give her a chance will you? She's not a bad person."

"Fine," Kabir said reluctantly. He hadn't thought of it that way, maybe she really is that clueless. And maybe he WAS a bit too harsh on her.

"So what are you still doing here?" Ayesha prompted. "Jao. (Go.) Chase after her and tell her you're sorry."

Kabir rolled his eyes but still chased after the doctor. He spots her just outside the gate.

"Oye hello," he shouted from just outside the front door. "Doctorji!"

That caught Raina's attention and she turned around. Upon seeing Kabir, she quickly turns away from him. What else does he want? He walked up to her and taps her on her shoulder.

"Excuse me," he told her. "Main aap se baat kar rahe hoon. (I'm talking to you.)"

"Jaanti hoon, (I know)" she replied. "Lekin mujhe aap ki saath baat karne mein koi interested nahi hai. (But I'm not interested in talking with you.)"

"Aap... (You...)" Kabir started but decided that it would be better if he bit his tongue. He was here to apologize not to start another fight. "Look, I'm sorry. Gussa mein shayad maine kuch zyada bol diya. (I might have said some things in anger)"

"It's ok," she told him, nonchalantly.

"Dekho (Look)," he told her. "Woh... Main... (That... I...) Err... I started drinking because I lost someone important. And that's why I didn't want to talk about it."

She gave him a sympathetic look. They were silent for a moment, both not knowing what to say.

"Toh chaliye? (So, let's go?)" Kabir said, breaking the silence.

"Kahan? (Where?)" Raina asked, confused.

"Arre doctorji," he told her. "I paid for a full hour session. Unless you're planning to finish the session out here, let's go in. People are watching."

Raina looked around. He was right, there were people that had started gathering around. Some had even started to point at them. She had to remind herself that she was dealing with a public figure.

"Fine," she said and followed Kabir in.

Ayesha who was watching from Kabir's balcony lets out a sigh of breath as Kabir led Raina into the mansion. Bach gaye (Saved), she thought. Another crisis averted.

Kabir and Raina returned to their previous seats.

"Please continue," Kabir told her.

Raina took out her notepad and resumed with her questions. "Is it normal for you to have outbursts like this?"

Kabir lets out a sigh.

"I said I'm sorry," he stated, feeling a bit hurt that she hasn't accepted his apology.

"It's part of the questionnaire," she explained.

"Oh," he replied. Idiot. "Only when I'm angry."

"Can you control it?" Raina continued.

"Not really," he confessed. "Jab gussa aata hai (When I get angry), it's like... A hundred bombs mere dimaag mein phaat gaya! Bheja fry... (A hundred bombs exploding in my brain! Mind blown...)"

His attempt at a joke fell flat as Raina ignored him and carried on with her questions.

"Does it happen very often?" Raina asked.

"Only when someone is there to trigger it," Kabir answered. Like you.

"And it's usually when you're sober," Raina added. "Am I right?"

"Yes," he replied, truthfully.

"It's ok," Raina told him, matter of fact. "It's the alcohol withdrawal symptoms. Basically, regular excessive drinking causes your body to become dependent on alcohol. Over time, your nervous system will slowly be immune to the high percentage of alcohol in your body and stop responding properly. If you suddenly stop drinking or significantly reduce the amount of alcohol you drink, it's like a sudden shock to your body and that's what causes the alcohol withdrawal symptoms. If it the addiction has been going on for a prolonged period of time, it may be fatal."

Kabir nodded. He didn't get most of what Raina was saying but he did get the gist of it. In short, I'm killing myself.

"Lucky for you," she continued. "You have me to help you. Now, I want you to stop drinking immediately and I want a daily update either from you or your family. I'm also going to issue you some medications and some vitamin supplements to help with the withdrawal symptoms. You can pick them up at your nearest pharmacy. I will come for house visits once a week for an hour. If you need extra counselling sessions, you can schedule them with the clinic. If any emergencies should arise, Sunny has my personal number. Please use it sparingly. I need a quick discussion with everyone else. Is it just Ayesha and Sunny?"

"Haan (Yes)," Kabir replied. Raina swore she saw a flash of sadness across Kabir's face. However, she decides ignore and proceed. Maybe, she could ask him at a later time when he's less... Sensitive...

Kabir called for his sister and brother-in-law and then stood a little further away as Raina explained to them what she had just explained to Kabir.

One thing is for sure, Kabir thought to himself. For this one month, things are going to be crazy.

A/N: I'm going to be truthfully and tell you that in this chapter I initially wrote Raina ranting to her boss how a terrible person Kabir was before deciding against it... I felt that it wasn't something that Raina would do so, I overhauled half of this chapter and prayed for the best... But what do you think? Did I let Raina forgive Kabir a bit too fast??? And should she have told her boss what happened??? Let me know in the comments ;) And have a wonderful weekend!!!
