( ★ ) When you're born, all you can think about it being normal. Because being different was dangerous, being a demigod was dangerous. Growing up, your parents tell you these stories about your life and you believe them because it's your parents, and they would never lie to you, right? It doesn't matter if its lie, Its better to believe them, because in the end, at least you'll have a normal life. Being different was something most people feared, and Christopher Fairchild understood that better than anyone else. All he wanted for his sweet daughter was a normal life. But when you are in contact with a goddess, a literal goddess, it was difficult to live a normal life.

Christopher told his daughter from the minute she was born that he was so sorry. He was sorry that his daughter would never get the chance to live a normal life. By the age of thirteen, she would be sent off to a camp in the middle of no where. Her best friend following along with her. It wasn't a secret in the Fairchild and Jackson household that their children were going to save the world one day. It also wasn't a secret that the two would eventually get together and start a life, even if it was in secret. Chris Fairchild and Sally Jackson knew from the minute they met that their kids would be unstoppable together. It was only a matter of time.

It also wasn't a secret that Noelle Fairchild would do anything for her best friend, Perseus Jackson. She constantly got in fights to prevent him from getting hurt. She constantly put her popularity and her life behind her to keep him safe, no matter the consequence. By the age of thirteen and twelve, the two teens had gotten in so much trouble, they were having to be separated. That didn't stop them though, they still caused trouble and still protected each other like their life depended on it. If only they knew that their friendship would be changed forever in just a few days.

( ★ ) Noelle Fairchild, or Ellie as her friends called her, was someone that took care of everyone around her before taking care of herself. She pushed her needs and feelings behind her constantly to keep others safe. That's what she did for her best friend, Percy. She fought whoever spoke about him in a negative way, she did everything to protect him because he did the same for her. The only problem with this was that she eventually become emotionally and mentally drained. She put on her act that she was happy but in reality, she felt like she was losing herself. Being there for everyone but having no one be there for you was so draining that it just kept picking and picking until it was too late. It felt like she was losing a battle with her mind and everyone in her life even though there wasn't a battle to fight. Not that she was aware of that is.

She always had a feeling that there was something different about her. She felt it flowing through her veins every second of every day, the feeling of love and desire. She knew something was different when she would talk to her father and his face would drop or he would try and come up with a lie. It didn't bother her, she didn't mind not being like everyone else because it made her unique and her own self. But she just wished her dad wouldn't keep it from her and she could actually understand why she felt this way. It felt weird going through each day knowing you didn't fit in but still having all of these friends and people surrounding you. It felt weird feeling alone but also feeling loved at the same time. The sad part was she didn't feel the love coming from her friends, she felt it coming from herself.

The only person she could truly feel the love from though was the one person that made her feel normal. Perseus Jackson was the one person that could make Noelle Fairchild laugh and smile no matter what the situation was. He was the one person that could make her feel normal and not like she didn't belong. Percy Jackson was the one person that made Ellie Fairchild feel safe and loved, he was the person she saw herself with for the rest of her life. The love flowing and pulsing through her veins whenever he was near.

( ★ ) Perseus Jackson, or Percy as his few friends called him, was the kind of kid to cause problems and trouble just to make himself be seen. His entire life was spent feeling completely alone and abandoned. His dad was supposedly lost at sea, but Percy took that as his dad was dead or just didn't want him. The feeling of not being seen only got worse after his "stepdad" entered his life. He didn't understand why the man was there but he made Percy feel like he wasn't enough every time a distasteful word left his mouth. The only thing that truly brought Percy comfort was causing trouble and his best friend, Ellie. Ellie had always been there to protect him and it hurt when he saw her slowly lose her bright smile after every time she helped him. He knew she only caused trouble so they could stay together but that didn't stop the guilt that flowed through his veins.

He eventually tried to stop causing trouble once the two of them were separated, but it didn't work. He always felt the need to control something in his life knowing he couldn't control anything once at home. He didn't understand why that made people not like him. Most people enjoyed someone that caused trouble, they normally paid attention to people that caused trouble. Though they never paid attention to Percy. They only looked and made fun of him as he ran down the hall to get away from issues. That was what made him feel like he didn't belong, that he was different from everyone else. But he always knew he was different, the feeling flowed through his veins whenever he was near water or really any sort of liquid. But that didn't change the hurt that flowed through him as he watched the people he saw as friends make fun of him.

The only person he could truly feel the love from through was the one person that made him feel normal. Noelle Fairchild was the one person that could make Perseus Jackson laugh and smile, no matter how sad or upset he was. She was the one person that made him feel like he was normal and belonged. She was the one person that made him feel like he could do anything and she would be proud of him. Ellie Fairchild was the one person that made Percy Jackson feel safe and loved, she was the one person he saw himself with for the rest of his life. His veins pulsing whenever she was around him, the feeling that made him so different finally feeling normal.

( ★ ) Noelle and Percy had been best friends from the moment they met. If you asked their parents, they would tell you that they saw it the moment they ran into each others arms. If you asked ellie and percy, they would have told you that they were just friends, nothing more. Everyone around them knew that was false though. There was no way that Perseus Jackson and Noelle Fairchild were just friends when they stared at each other like they had been in love. It was evident that the two wanted to be more than friends but weren't sure how to go about it.

Noelle protected Percy no matter the consequence and ended up hurting herself in the end but she truly didn't care. The moment the two met, it was evident noelle cared more about percy than herself. The way her eyes changed from a dark, almost emotionless grayish blue to a bright, alive ocean or sea blue. The way her eyes lit up every time he walked in the room. The way her smile shines so much brighter when she was with him. There was no excuse for what everyone saw when noelle and percy were together, it was evident the two were meant for each other. almost like they were soulmates.

Percy protected Noelle no matter the consequence, not caring if he ended up getting hurt in the end. The moment the two met, it was evident percy cared more about noelle than himself. The way his eyes turned from a dark, emotionless emerald green to a bright, alive sea-green. The way his eyes lit up whenever he saw noelle close to him. The way his smile shines so much brighter whenever he sees her or his with her. There was no excuse for what everyone saw when percy and noelle were together, it was evident the two were meant for each other. almost like they were soulmates
