"Emma! Hurry up! Why are you taking so long!?" Ray called from downstairs

"I know! I know!" Emma called back. She turned back to the mirror and put the finishing touches to her makeup and outfit, running down the stairs afterwards

"Jeez, Emma, your wearing that already? You just bought that today" Ray groaned

"Duh! We might make a friend today, I just wanna be presentable" Emma crossed her arms "unlike you" she looked at his worn out jeans and faded band tee

"Emma, we're 16" Ray crossed his arms as well "why are you so pressed about making friends?"

"We're finally going to stay in one school for the first time! Don't you wanna fit in?" Emma glared at him

"I don't really care, to be honest" Ray grabbed his bucket hat and put it on "I'm going out"

"Well, don't take to long, honey!" Isabella called out "they'll be here soon"

"You mean them?" Ray pointed out the window

"Oh, they're here" Leslie looked out the window. Sure enough, there was a family standing in front of an open car. A mother, two sons and daughter. The mother and one son had white hair and pale skin, paired with ocean eyes (reference if ykyk), while the daughter had long blonde hair in twin braids and matching blue eyes, while the other son had strawberry blonde hair, it being kept in check by a bandana, and dark lime green eyes. Isabella walked out the door and greeted the mother

"... What, you think he's cute or something?" Ray teased Emma, who was previously staring at the boy in the front lawn

"EHH!?" Emma whipped her head around to face her brother

"Ooh~ my little sister finally want someone as more than a friend?~" Ray laughed, snatching her beanie

"Hey!" Emma flushed red, starting to chase her big brother. Meanwhile, the family had entered the house, seeing Emma trying to grab her pastel green and orange beanie, Ray holding it above his head

"Ray, you tarantado, give it back!" Emma exclaimed (tarantado means bastard in my language btw)

"Get it then!" Ray raised it higher

"Ray, give your sister her hat back" Isabella said. Ray looked up and saw the guests, deciding to give it back. Emma snatched the beanie back and put it back on "well, then, I would like you to meet our guests"

"I'm Matilda, its a pleasure to meet you" the mother introduced " this is Norman, Hayato and Anna, my children"

"Its nice to meet you" Ray took her hand and blessed (like, took her hand and gently pressed the back of her fingers against his forehead, its a Filipino tradition for greeting your elders). Seeing her confusion, Isabella explained

"Its a tradition for culture" Isabella said "its a respectful gesture for your elders, its called mano"

"Oh, okay" Matilda smiled "your culture seems interesting, do you mind telling me about it?"

"Of course not, come with me" Isabella smiled too, dragging Leslie along with her, leaving the children to their own accord

"Oh. Hi, I'm Norman" the white haired boy greeted, making Emma sorta freeze up, which made Ray snicker a little bit

"Ooh~" Ray snickered "Sige sis, sabihin mo sa kanya ang pangalan mo"

"Tahimik ka na, tanga" Emma muttered before turning to Norman "I- I'm Emma, nice to meet you"

"Nice to meet you too" Norman gave her a charming smile, making her blush even more

"Heh, simp" Ray put his hand on his sister's head

"SHUT UP!" Emma turned her head to him "AND DON'T TAKE MY BEANIE AGAIN!"
