"We're just friends" turned into being on the train for hours to finally meet you again.

"I don't think he wants to be more than friends" turned into your hand on my knee while riding the subway.

"I don't think I would catch feelings for him" turned into having butterflies in my stomach when grabbing your hand to hold it.

"He isn't looking for a relationship right now" turned into wanting to stop time when your arms are holding me and you're leaning in to give me a small but meaningful kiss onto my cheek.

Sometimes it is right to start without pressure, to start as friends. Good things take time. And time can make them even better.
