You send me snaps of movies we watched together, why are you watching them alone ... and why again?

You show me things you wanted for Christmas, relate to inside jokes, ask for help with your math assignment, dm me hundreds of videos, and try to keep our text conversation going as if it was your last chance to hold on to me. It feels so different talking to you now. It's just forced, cold, distant, and really uptight.

It's not like I was the right person at the wrong time, I wasn't your right person at all. Don't you get it?

I am truly sorry I didn't see us the way you did. I am sorry you probably thought we would end up together for our whole lives. And I am sorry I didn't see clearly sooner.

But now it is time for you to stop rewatching the movies we watched together. It is time to stop hoping I'll ever lay down in your bed again. It is time to realize I'm not coming back.
