[Narrator's POV]

Alya sits on her bed smiling widely. Some boy who had a crush on her got akumatized after she and Nino started officially dating so Ladybug and Cat Noir are protecting her. In her house. Her two heroes all to herself in her very own room. Alya hasn't put her phone down since they arrived. She wouldn't dare miss a second of this moment for her Ladyblog.

"These roses are such an enthralling red, just like you m'lady." Cat Noir takes a rose from Alya's vase and presents it to Ladybug. "Though they aren't as beautiful."

Alya bites down on her lip to stop herself from squealing.

"We don't have time for your silly flirting." Ladybug says, taking the rose and putting it back in the vase. "This girl's life is in serious danger."

Cat Noir shrugs. "I'm a hopeless romantic. Can't blame this cat for trying."

"You two are quite the pair." Alya says.

Ladybug flinches. "Pair? Ahaha, I think you mean quite the team. We are no pair."

"All in good time." Cat Noir gives Alya a wink. Ladybug rolls her eyes and attempts to walk away from him but Cat Noir wraps his arm around her waist and pulls her in closely. "You will fall for me one day, Ladybug."

"Seriously doubt it." Lady takes Cat Noir's arm and twists it.

"Ow, ow, ow. Uncle! Uncle!" He yelps.

Alya giggles. The moment is cut short when her akumatized stalker smashes through her bedroom window.

"Alya! You will be mine." He declares.

The villain fires slices of paper at the heroes standing in his way. Ladybug dodges them well but Cat Noir gets cut across his jaw.

"Ouch! Paper cut." He says.

"Lucky charm!" Ladybug cries out. A long, spotted hose emerges in a flash of red light and falls into her hands. "A hose?" Ladybug says in confusion.

"Look out!" Cat Noir tackles Ladybug to save her from an attack. "Watch out. That paper of his is sharp."

"That's it!" Ladybug exclaims. "Alya, connect this to your bathroom sink!"

She throws one end of the hose across the room. Alya catches it and runs into her bathroom.

"Okay!" She calls once she has connected it to the tap.

Ladybug turns the hose on and drenches the attacker, along with all of his paper weapons. "Try and hurt us with your soggy paper now!"

Cat Noir fly kicks the villain, sending him toppling to the ground. An origami swan slips from his grip and into Ladybug's hands.

"The origami he made for Alya; the akuma must be inside." Ladybug says, tearing up the paper.

A black butterfly emerges from the shredded paper and desperately flutters towards the window.

"No more evil doing for you little akuma. Time to de-evilize!" Ladybug slings her yoyo and captures the akuma, releasing it as a harmless butterfly. She then throws up the hose in the air and in a burst of magic, everything is back to the way it was.

"That was awesome, way to go Ladybug!" Alya says excitedly. "Any chance you could stay for an interview?"

Ladybug's earrings beep urgently. "Sorry, I gotta run. Bug out!"

Cat Noir watches in admiration as she jumps out the window and swings out of sight. He then turns to question Alya, "Aren't you gonna ask me for an interview?"

"Not unless you have something interesting for me. An insight on the relationship between you and Ladybug perhaps?" Alya answers.

Cat Noir smirks. "Well..."

As soon as Cat Noir left, Alya began racing to school. She had to show Marinette her latest update on the Ladyblog. Alya bursts into the classroom to find Marinette and Adrien being scolded by the teacher, Ms Bustier.

"Another one!" She exclaims angrily at the sight of Alya. "Right. All three of you will be attending detention if you can't give me an extremely good reason as to why you were late."

"Ladybug and Cat Noir kept me in lockdown at my house," Alya says. "And then we got attacked by an akumatized, origami-making stalker."

"Pretty good excuse." Nino says.

Ms Bustier shoots Nino a stern glare before turning on Adrien and Marinette. "And what about you two?"

Marinette and Adrien stare at their feet and fumble their fingers awkwardly.

"Looks like you both will be cleaning up the school this afternoon." Ms Bustier says. "Take your seats."

Alya rushes to her seat, bouncing her feet excitedly. As soon as Marinette sits down, she shows her the interview with Cat Noir.

"...Ladybug and I are an unstoppable team, and that's because we have such a good connection. Ever wonder why we were chosen as partners? We were made for each other!" The recording of Cat Noir rambles on. "We trust each other with our lives every day. That proves just how special our bond is..."

Marinette's eye twitches in annoyance as she watches the video. "I'm gonna kill him..." She grumbles to herself.

"What was that?" Asks Alya.

"Nothing!" Marinette answers. "I just said I think this is a bunch of baloney. You know how cheesy and flirty Cat Noir is; you can't take any of this seriously."

"Oh but you weren't there Marinette!" Alya says, her eyes wide with enthusiasm. "Those two are a power couple! And I'm not the only one who thinks so. My latest article has gone through the roof!"

Alya shoves her phone in Marinette's face once more.

Marinette reads the words on the screen aloud in disgust. "They are two birds of a feather, Ladybug and her cat in leather!?"

Alya bites her lip and nods eagerly. "LadyNoir is officially the biggest ship in Paris!"

Marinette makes her way to the janitor's closet glumly. "I can't believe I got a detention. I've never gotten a detention! My parents are going to be so mad... As class leader, I should be the most organised. I should set a better example."

"Cheer up Marinette." Adrien says. "I think you're a great class leader."

Marinette smiles and hands Adrien a broom.

"What happened to your cheek?" She asks, pointing at the small cut across Adrien's jaw.

This was in fact a paper cut from the akuma attack earlier this morning, but of course he couldn't tell Marinette that.

"I...cut myself shaving." Adrien lies before quickly changing the subject. "So anyway, I couldn't help but hear you and Alya in class talking about LadyNoir."

Marinette shivers at the mention of that ship name. "Oh, yeah, that."

"You really don't buy it?" Adrien questions. "I think they're quite the pair."

"Why does everyone keep saying that?" Marinette says in aggravation. "Ladybug is smart and professional and cool. But Cat Noir is always messing around. They couldn't be more different!"

"Well you know what they say, opposites attract." Adrien replies. "Didn't you see the livestream on Alya's Ladyblog? They were totally flirting."

"I think it was a bit more one-sided." Marinette says.

"What Cat Noir said about the rose was pretty romantic, right?" Adrien tries.

"Eh." Marinette shrugs. "It was completely inappropriate in the situation. Alya's life was in danger and all he could think about was his hormones."

"I think it's more than hormones," Adrien defends. "He's in love."

"He doesn't even know who Ladybug is. How could he love her?" Marinette says. "He's just infatuated with her image."

"He might not know the name of the girl beneath the mask, but he knows who she is. He spends every day getting to know her." Adrien says, looking off in a dreamlike state.

Marinette raises her eyebrow. "You're pretty passionate about this, huh?"

Adrien chuckles nervously. "Ah, what can I say? I'm LadyNoir trash number one."

Marinette smiles and continues sweeping. "I guess I'm being a little hard on Cat Noir."

Her broom knocks a scrunched up piece of paper and sends it rolling over towards Adrien. He looks down at the ball of paper and smirks.

"Hey Marinette, heads up!" Adrien says, whacking the paper ball with his broom.

The scrunched up paper tumbles towards Marinette. She laughs and hits it back with her own broom. This harmless play continues and soon develops into a full out war. The two teenagers have set up buckets to form goals. They race around the school courtyard, sweeping the paper like a hockey puck. For reasons unknown to them, their bodies seem to move in sync. As if they know exactly how the other one moves. They get so lost in their activity together that they begin to slip into their alternate personalities.

Marinette smashes the paper ball towards Adrien's goal but he spins his broom around to deflect it, just as Cat Noir would with his staff. Adrien twists and twirls his broom around like some crazy martial arts move.

"You're going down, Dupain-Cheng." He says, striking the paper ball with his broom.

Adrien charges forward but Marinette jumps up, pushes her feet off from his shoulders and does a front flip over him.

"Too slow!" She teases, swiping at the paper with her broom.

Adrien defends the paper ball, moving his broom so rapidly it is just a blur of straw bristles. Marinette can't get her own broom through to the paper ball. She gives up on attacking the paper and instead swings her broom at Adrien. Adrien bends over backwards to doge the attack as if the broom were a limbo stick; he then falls back onto his hands and does a backwards handspring away from Marinette—all within the split second in which she swung her broom.

"You're good, Agreste." Marinette whirls her broom around like a Bo staff. "But not good enough!"

Marinette runs forward and soon she and Adrien are in an intense broom fight. They do flips and rolls to doge each other's attacks and even begin naming their moves as if in a videogame.

"Supermodel Strike!" Adrien swings his broom at Marinette's legs, causing her to fall over.

She makes a quick getup and hollers, "Baker Bash!"

Marinette leaps up into the air, does a front flip and smashes her broom down onto Adrien but he holds out his own broom above his head to block the attack. Adrien then jumps back to distance himself from Marinette.

"Feline frenzy!" He roars, kicking over the bucket of rubbish they had collected.

Adrien begins repeatedly smacking the rubbish with his broom, firing balls of paper and empty cans at Marinette. She flips around the courtyard, dodging the attacks. Marinette grabs the bucket and does one mighty leap up into the air.

"Miraculous Ladybug!" She yells before throwing the bucket down over Adrien's head.

Marinette had planned to execute an awesome flip but she was so horror-struck when she accidentally yelled her secret hero catchphrase that she goes toppling to the ground. She hits Adrien, who couldn't see because of the bucket over his head, and they both stack it. The bucket goes flying off Adrien's head when he hits the ground and Marinette lands with a thud right on top of him. She is so distracted with her accidental Ladybug outburst that she doesn't even realise she is currently laying on Adrien. Marinette lifts her head up to see Adrien staring at her with wide eyes and blushing cheeks. She can feel the racing heartbeat beneath his chest. Adrien looks deeply into Marinette's eyes and she looks back into his.

Upon realising the current situation, Marinette's face goes bright red. "Uh— I-I'm sorry!"

Marinette's brain goes into panic mode. She struggles to lift herself up and accidentally knees Adrien in the crotch.

Adrien cries out in pain. "Ugh!"

"Ah!—I'm so sorry! I'm so so sorry!" Marinette squeaks, scrambling to her feet.

"itskay..." Adrien wheezes.

He slowly sits up but decides to give himself a moment for recovery before doing anything else.

"Hey, you move pretty well." Adrien says, trying to move past the awkwardness of the situation.

"Wha—W-what?" Marinette stammers. A wave of anxiety consumes her, does Adrien know she is Ladybug?

Adrien finally stands up off the ground. "I don't know, it was strange. I just felt so comfortable. I knew where you were going to be and what you were going to do."

"M-Me too!" Marinette says. "It felt so...natural."

She gets lost in Adrien's deep, emerald eyes once more. Suddenly, someone from behind her clears their throat. Marinette and Adrien turn to face the school janitor, who looks very unimpressed.

"Is this what you call cleaning up?" He asks crossly.

Adrien and Marinette look around them. There are cleaning supplies and buckets laying on the floor with rubbish everywhere. They smile nervously at the janitor.

"Just get out." He sighs.

Adrien and Marinette hurry out of the school without looking back. As soon as they are outside, Adrien starts cracking up with laughter. Marinette worries that Adrien will ask why she yelled 'Miraculous Ladybug' during their battle, or perhaps he will question where she learnt all those flips and fighting skills from, but Adrien doesn't seem to have noticed. He must have been caught up in the moment because he looks as though he just had the time of his life.

"Oh man, that was fun!" Adrien says happily. "We should get detention together more often."

Marinette blushes and smiles shyly at him."Y-Yeah...we should."
