Lights shines in a High school classroom where the 9th graders were having a literature pop quiz on one of William Shakespeare's best novels "Othello". Katherine couldn't help but to show off she's been doing her homework and answered almost all the questions directed to her.

Katherine was one of the best students St Rosemary High school had for the section, she was the pride of the school. Despite her dedication to her education, she was never regarded as a nerd. She was as dedicated to her social life as she was dedicated to her education. She included herself in everything; sports, social activities, music, debate and other activities, and to top it all, her beauty made not just her fellow Junior students stutter and drool over her beauty but as well as the seniors. She had this long, wavy, blond hair with a touch of golden strikes reaching her spines. Her skin was flawless and fair and She never missed out on the latest fashion trends.

Many girls in her set wanted to be friends with her and some just envied her and hated the attention she got even from the cutest guys. Even though Katherine never paid any attention to their advances. She already met her sweetheart; Jamie. Apparently, he rescued her from one of the attacks some girls have set on her to prevent her from attending a soccer game to avoid him noticing her and ruining their chances with him.

Jamie was an exchange student from new york. He didn't stay up to a week in rosemary high school before making name as the new high school sweetheart. Jamie had this enticing dreamy eyes and was extremely handsome. He always acted cool and cold and paid no attention to the advances of the girls towards him.  After Jamie had joined the soccer team and during the tryouts, the girls knowing Katherine would be there cheering with her cheer leading team would definitely get noticed by him decided to pull a harmless prank on her to keep her off the hall. A harmless prank turns into a death trap. The locker they had locked her in was pretty dark and her battery had gone down. In her attempt to lit the room with a lighter to look for an escape route turns bad. The heat of the lighter had hit her hand and she dropped it abruptly. The lighter caught on a cotton cloth and started to burn. Before Katherine could notice it, it had already spread and smoke was already circulating and the fire alarm broke out.

"Help! Somebody! Help me!" Katherine called out in despair. She hit the door aimlessly and continuously with her feet but it still wouldn't budge.

As everyone was running Heather scatter out of the school premise as organized by the school body President.

Jamie had forgotten his bag pack in the boys locker room. He left his team and went back for his bag. On his was out he heard a faint voice shouting for help from the girls locker room. And that was how the now rosemary high sweetest and perfect couple met each other. The girls who had locked Katherine up regretted their actions because it backfired. Not only did they get suspension, they also helped pair the two couple.

When a question was directed to Golden, she began to stutter. Katherine in her effort to help with the answer succeeded. Golden smiled at her when she got the question right with Katie's help. Then she turned to the teacher who wasn't fully convinced with boldness and confidence, busy feeling herself.

"Alright, That's a wrap. Make sure to study for your class exams coming up next Monday..."

" What? Next week?" Golden interrupted the class teacher as she asked in shock and surprise.

"Yes Golden, next week monday. Is there a problem? Is there anyone else who isn't aware of the exam time table which has been scheduled since THREE(3)WEEKS now?" The teacher asked as everyone shook their head while some responded with a no.

"Good, and this time I'll be sure to make sure everyone answers for themselves. Have a good day class." The teacher rounded up and left the class, taking some of the textbooks on her desk.

"I can't believe it. Exams are next week already? I am so not ready four this. I'm freaking out." Golden feared.

"Calm down okay. Pull yourself together. Have you forgotten you've got me? How about this, we meet at my place every evening after school and this weekend, I'll help you study for the exams." Katherine tried to calm her best friend Golden.

"Awwn. Thanks bestie. But still not enough time. I don't think I can do this." Golden continued to panic.

"Don't worry yourself. Just trust me on this okay. I've got a plan." Katherine assured Golden while holding her two hands. At last Golden decided to have faith in Katherine and decided to calm down.

"Thanks baby. What would I do without you." Golden hugged Katy.

"Now we can go to that new mall just around town. We'll call it shopping for success." Golden announced with excitement. She was already dragging Katherine to the door but were blocked by a young, Handsome dashing guy.

"Babe. How are you? Are you ready for lunch?" He asked Katy. They both smiled at each other and hugged. Golden eased at the lovebirds and made disgusting faces at them.

"Hello! I'm still here. And you're too late Jamie, I already booked Katy this afternoon, we're going shopping." She sang the word shopping excitedly.

"Do you ever do or know any other word asides shopping?" Jamie teased golden to get on her nerves.

"Whatever. I don't expect you to understand." Golden replied.

"And I pray and wish I'd never have to." Jamie sarcastically replied with his hands clapped together.

"Anyway, I don't want to come in between two inseparable friends, so I'll just take a moment of your time. I need to talk to you Katy. Just for a moment." He pleaded.

"She doesn't have a moment to spare." Golden replied with annoyance.

"It's Alright Goldie, you can go ahead, I'll catch up with you soon." Katherine softly pleaded with Golden.

"Fine. I'll go wait in the car." Golden replied and walked away stumping her feet hard on the floor.

"Yeah. It's clear your friend doesn't like me." Jamie joked. They both laughed.

"You wanted to see me?" Katherine asked with her face showing her deep expectation for something.

"You ask as if I need a reason to see my girlfriend."

"No... I didn't mean it like that. You know that right? Common you know I love you." She tried convincing Jamie who wouldn't change the indifferent expression on his face. Then all of a sudden he bust out laughing.

"Yes I know. If not me who else. But did you see your face right now. Awwwn... I would do anything to hear you say you love me again though." Jamie joked. He was so amused by his own joke he didn't notice she didn't find it funny.

"Really? Call me when you have something important you'd like to discuss, if you'd excuse me, my Friend is waiting for me." She said and turned to leave, Jamie grabbed her. He pulled her with enough strength that she ended up clashing in his arms.

"You were going to leave me like that? Not even a kiss? What? you want to tell me you didn't miss me even a little? Huh?" He continued to throw questions at Katy. But Katy grew speechless. She felt cornered mostly because of the deep sad, love eyes that were fixed on her. Or the deep low voice he spoke to her with, or was it the eyes that went down on her lips and longed for them. Katys heart beat so fast and loudly that Jamie could hear them.

"I miss you if you don't. Here, wear this tonight..." He handed her a shopping bag with a dress in it.

"I want to take you somewhere magical. Don't tell me you forgot our one year anniversary. And it's been the most beautiful, most colorful, days in my entire life." He took his gaze back upon her eyes. Then he shifted her back slowly.

"A date? Our anniversary? And it's tonight." Katy stuttered.

"See you tonight babe. I love you." Jamie said softly then gently kissed her lips before he left smiling back at her. Katy was blushing all the way to Golden car with her two hands on her chest.

Golden didn't even want to know what happened because Katy relationship with Jamie always annoyed her to the bone. On their way to the mall golden tried discouraging her against Jamie as she always does but Katy wouldn't budge. She knew Jamie more than anyone else and knew he was good for her. And to top it all, her parents approves of their relationship. They let the matter die after some moments of arguing during the drive and decided to have fun shopping.
