Bucky's POV

-YOU WHAT?!- Peggy said again.

-Let me explain!- Carol said -We were both drunk and...-.

-So when you... Oh God!- Peggy left and Carol followed her.

That was a very big mess. I didn't know how I would have reacted if Steve would have cheated on me with someone, with a girl in particular.

That afternoon I was at home alone with Steve, my mum left for a little holiday; we were trying to make a playlist for our wedding and it was harder than what I expected.

Suddenly someone knocked at the door.

-Are you waiting for someone?- Steve asked.

-No, I don't know who it could be- I said standing from the sofa and opening the door: in front of me there was Carol, crying.

-Hey Carol- I said -What happened?-.

She entered the house and sat in the sofa, next to me.

-What happened? Why are you crying?- Steve asked worried.

-Peggy broke with me- she said -She was angry and didn't want to listen to me, she just left. I... I didn't want to cheat on her, I was drunk I couldn't even think!-.

Carol started crying again and I hugged her.

-I am sorry this is happening again- I said caressing her head.

-Well Peggy deserved it- Steve said.
Both Carol and I looked at him: what did he mean?

-I mean, Peggy and I were in the same high school and she used to change boyfriends like she changes her clothes so...- he said.

-Did you two...? You know...- Caril asked.

-Only at high school, for one night, before I understood I actually like men- Steve said smiling at me.

I smiled back at him.

-I... I just want her back, I love her- Carol said -I feel like she is the right one-.

-Maybe I can try to talk with her?- Steve said.

-You would do that?- Carol said and Steve nodded -Thank you-.

They hugged.

We decided to order something for dinner and we invited Carol to stay with us, to get a little distracted.

I was in the kitchen to get some plates when Steve arrived.

-Are you jealous?- he asked.

-What?-.

-Peggy and I, the fact that we were at school together- he explained.

-Oh no I am not- I said and he looked at me -Ok maybe a little- I admitted.

-The only reason why I didn't tell you is because it is past, a chapter of my life that ended a lot of years ago- he said.
I nodded and we kissed; he pulled me closer to him, deepening the kiss.

-Hey! I am here, just so you know- Carol said from the living room and we both laughed.

-Why are you awake?- my sister said from behind me.

I was sat at the table in the living room, finishing some drawings for work. Yes, I was an architect and I loved the fact that I could work from home.

-Just finishing some drawings. You should be resting- I said.

-I know that look, what is going on?- she said sitting next to me.

-I... I can't stop thinking about Bucky- I said.

-You like him- she said and I nodded.

-But he is getting married soon, so I don't have any chances- I said.

-Why not? At least, try to be his friend- Wanda said.

I hugged her; she always knew what to say when I was sad.

-Ok now let's go to sleep- I said -I can finish the drawings tomorrow-.

She smiled and we both went to sleep.
