School, as always
Sam is walking beside me whistling a tune I've never heard before.
"So," Sam says, moving their hands to their hips, "Are your parents still okay with the fact that you're staying here?"
"Yeah," I say looking at them.
"Though they still can't get over the fact I moved here so that I could go to high school with an idiot like you"
Sam laughs.
"I'm not that bad am I?" Sam says, pointing at themself.
I smirk and walk into our classroom, sitting down at my desk. A reason why I get good grades is that I'm literally one out of the 6
students that actually come to class.
Darian sits next to me again, wearing the same school attire as always.
Miss Samuels awkwardly fumbles with her hands and smiles, she's never been the one to talk anyways. My desk is small but moderately comfortable, I take my time opening the desk and shoving my books inside.
I noticed that Tasha and Jake walk in holding hands. Sam immediately rolls their eyes.
They've been a 'couple' for about a month, but we're all pretty sure they only do it for clout.
That's all the students that arrive, the rest pretend to be sick or just wonder around on the hallways until the lunch bell rings. Miss Samuels has never been the best teacher but at least she's not outside in the hallways either.
The lesson is math, so sometimes I don't blame the other students for leaving. But then again, I'd rather have a boring lesson and not have them call my parents so that my mum can look at me funny on my phone screen. Except today is different, I just might be skipping school for some random letter I found in the post.
