Harry looked into the mirror and fixed his shirt, checking his hair one last time before sighing.
Louis walked up behind him, making eye contact with Harry through the mirror. ''Hi, baby. How are you feeling?''
Harry pursed his lips. ''I don't know to be really honest...''
Today was the day of George's funeral. Harry couldn't say that he was sad or something but he was still upset. He had lived with May and George for more than 15 years.
''Are you sure you want to go? I mean... They were shit and honestly don't deserve your sympathy.''
Harry nodded and turned around to face Louis. ''I know. But Jade deserves it. She has always been sweet and she would protect me when she could. I haven't seen her in ages. I owe her.''
''I don't think you owe her. But she would appreciate it. You sure you want me to come?'' Louis asked, placing his hands on the boy's shoulder.
''I'm not going without you.'' Harry stated with a small frown on his face.
Louis wrapped his arms around his boyfriend and pulled him into his chest. ''Í'll come with you, sweetheart.''
Louis took Harry's hand and led them to the car. They hopped in and drove away.
George had died a week prior due to a car accident. He was killed at the impact.
Louis kept his hand on Harry's thigh during the drive. The radio was turned off for both Louis and Harry felt a little gloomy. After all, funerals ain't that much fun.
Harry breathed out shakily and threw his head back against the headrest. He was nervous about seeing May again. It's not like she would miraculously like him just because George had died.
The car stopped in front of a crematorium. May and George weren't religious and they both didn't like the thought of being buried.
They stepped out of the car, joining a group of other people as they walked into the building. Louis noticed how Harry looked down at the ground the entire time.
It wasn't that weird, though. Harry knew a lot of people here. It was quite logical that Harry felt uncomfortable.
Once they were inside they took a seat in the room and waited until the service would start. Harry's leg bounced up and down quickly and he was biting his lip, frantically looking around him.
The funeral started. There were pictures showing pf George showing on s big screen and people talked about how nice George was.
It really took every fibre inside of Louis' body not to jump up and yell how much bullshit everyone was talking.
So he held Harry's hand during the funeral as Harry flinched at the old pictures. There was a picture of the family and he inhaled sharply.
''I don't even know why I bothered to come here.'' Harry muttered under his breath, squeezing Louis' hand.
''What's wrong, baby?'' Louis whispered.
Harry nodded towards the picture. ''I'm in that picture. They cut me off.''
Louis grimaced and looked at the picture and then at Harry. He knew it was a bad idea to take Harry here. The only thing that would happen was Harry getting hurt.
''Try to ignore that, okay? You're not here for him anyway.'' Louis said bitterly.
Harry took a few deep breaths and looked at Louis, focussing on his older boyfriend's calming, blue eyes. He relaxed a little and smiled softly.
''I love you.'' He said and placed his head on the dom's shoulder. A lot of people were seeking comfort from their partners.
Louis pressed a kiss to the boy's hair and wrapped an arm around his waist as the soft music played under the presentation.
A middle-aged man held a speech May and Jade wrote before one last row of pictures played.
Louis sighed and checked the time again. He was sorta bored. He never really understood funerals.
People made this whole ceremony based on what the dead person wanted. Weren't they dead? A funeral should be based on what the relatives want. They are the ones alive anyway.
Besides, everyone always seemed extra sad when they were at a funeral. People who didn't know the dead person would be able to cry due to the whole atmosphere.
After 1 hour the funeral was over and everyone could go to the main hall so that they could condole the family.
Harry walked in front of Louis as they shook George's family's hands. Eventually, they were standing in front of Jade.
Her brown eyes widened and she gasped, pulling Harry into a tight hug.
''Oh God, Harry! You came!''
Harry smiled and wrapped his arms around Jade, holding her tightly. ''I said I would, right?''
''Yeah, but... you have no reason to be here. He never did anything good for you.''
''I'm here for you, though. You were always kind to me.'''
Jade smiled and cupped his face. ''You look amazing, Harry. You look happy. And that whilst you're at a funeral.'' She chuckled.
Harry sighed and took her hands. ''I'm so sorry, Jade. How are you?''
''Eh... Kind of. I mean, it's my dad so I don't know.'' She sighed and shook her head.
''If there's anything I can do for you, just give me a call.'' Jade nodded and kissed his cheek before turning to Louis.
''Hi, you must be Louis then?''
Louis smiled at her and shook her hand. ''I am. I'm so sorry for your loss.''
She laughed and smiled at him. ''Oh, don't bother, honey. I know you hated my father.''
Louis hissed and gave an apologetic smile.
She giggled and gave him a hug. ''It's fine. Thank you for making Harry so happy.''
He hugged her with one arm and grinned. ''It's my pleasure to do so.''
Just then the clicking of high heels could be heard behind them. Harry turned around and immediately faced the floor when May was standing in front of him.
''Look who's here.'' She spat, her eyes puffy and red-rimmed.
Jade scoffed and stepped in front of Harry.
''Okay, listen, mum. Harry came all to way to give a sincere condolence and you decide to mock him? Here's the thing. Either you decide to shut your mouth and respect him for once in your life or dad won't be the only family member you lose this week.''
May gaped at her daughter before sighing. ''Very well then.''
Harry looked up at his foster mother and stuck out his hand. She took it reluctantly and shook it.
''I'm genuinely sorry for your loss, May. It's horrible what happened to him.'' May seemed surprised but she gave him a very small smile.
''Thank you, Harry.'' She said.
Harry nodded as an awkward silence fell. Louis pursed his lips.
''My condolences.''
May grimaced at him and stood next to her daughter. Harry turned to Jade and gave her another hug.
''We'll call, yeah? Thank you so much for coming.'' Jade said as Harry kissed her cheek again.
''No problem, love. Will do.''
The two waved at Jade and completely ignored May as they walked out of the building. As soon as they were standing outside, Louis wrapped his arm around his sub's waist.
Harry leaned into his touch and they walked towards his car. Before they stepped into the car however, Louis stopped Harry.
''Need a hug?'' Louis asked softly.
Harry swallowed as he looked at the ground. When he looked up he nodded slowly.
Louis instantly took Harry into his arms, Harry pressing his nose against Louis' neck.
Harry sniffled quietly. ''I cannot believe that I saw my entire foster family and none of them talked to me.'' He said, his voice hoarse.
Louis pecked his neck and hummed. ''I'm sorry, angel. But Jade was so happy that you were there. And you know, Fuck them for being so bitchy.''
Harry giggled and pulled back, gently bringing their lips together. They moved together slowly as Louis' hands moved from his waist to his hair, softly playing with it as Harry pulled Louis closer.
''I love you, you know that yeah?'' Harry asked and kissed Louis again.
Louis smiled and cupped Harry's face, kissing his nose. ''I know, baby. Shall we go home now?''
Harry agreed quietly.

Later that night, they were sitting on the couch watching a film. Harry's legs were resting on Louis' lap as Louis traced them with his fingertips.
''I have a question for you.'' Louis said and looked at his sub.
The boy looked up at him and cocked his head to the side. ''What's the question?''
''How are your legs so smooth. And not only your legs but like... the rest of your body as well. You don't have any body hair and I never see you shave.''
Harry bit his bottom lip and licked them afterwards. ''You know, at the bidding house, they gave me these laser sessions. The hair just sorta stopped growing back. I need to do it again in like 3 years or something but for now...''
''They forced you to do it?''
Harry pursed his lips and nodded. ''Yeah. But it's the one thing I'm thankful for. I mean, shaving is expensive and not to mention dangerous.'' Harry said.
Louis laughed. ''Dangerous?''
''I think I must've cut myself hundreds of times. It was bloody awful. So it's a good thing.''
Louis grabbed Harry's wrists and pulled him onto his lap, running his fingers up and down his hairless legs.
''I know I like it.'' He said, nuzzling Harry's cheek with his nose.
''That's good. Cause only you and I get to see it.''
The dom stared at Harry for a second before stroking his cheek. ''Feeling better?''
''Why?'' Harry asked.
Louis rolled his eyes and pinched Harry's cheek. ''I mean after today, you idiot.''
''O-Oh, right!'' Harry pulled Louis' hand away from his face and kissed his lips softly.
''I'm always okay. 'Cause I'm with you.''
