Chapter 4: Upbeat as Always
You are currently in your lab sitting down on the couch.
You are listening to music as always when you received a message from Ibuki on your U-Pad.
Unlocking your U-Pad, the message read:
"So, there's that play that's happening in the auditorium later today. I'm gonna give a small performance for good luck to the actors."
-- Ibuki
"I have a feeling that performance is gonna be shorter than she thinks," you said to yourself.
Later that day, you went to the auditorium and sat down with everyone else. Ibuki then appeared on stage and played her guitar for a few seconds, which was followed by her being escorted off the stage.
"Yep, I figured," you said to yourself.
You then went outside and saw Ibuki by the fountain.
Ibuki: "Aw... I just wanted to wish good luck to them, and they kicked me off when they saw me."
"Well, your creativity doesn't give your song the same feeling as the play. Also, they wanted to watch the drama rather than get scared."
Ibuki gave a shy laugh.
Ibuki: "That happened so much, I can't deny it. But why didn't you stay to watch the play?"
"I just wanted to see how you do. In general, theater productions and plays aren't really my thing."
Ibuki: "Either way, thanks for not leaving me just hanging."
"No prob."
Ibuki: "You wanna get something to eat?"
"Yeah. I may have skipped lunch when I was working on my songs."
You and Ibuki headed to a campus restaurant and ordered some pizza. While eating, you looked over to your side and saw an ad that says "Ultimate Festival. Happening soon."
Ibuki looked at the ad.
Ibuki: "Oh yeah. It's gonna be awesome. Every Ultimate on campus is gonna embrace their talents and professions for an entire day, and people are going to love being able to see their abilities in the flesh."
"If I can just sit the whole day as I'm playing my music, I'll enjoy it greatly."
Ibuki: "Come on; it wouldn't be too bad to some walking here and there."
"Okay, okay," you sighed.
You and Ibuki finished up the pizzas.
Ibuki: "When the festival happens, let's shine bright as those stars you see at night."
"Sounds good, Ibuki." you stated proudly. "We should probably head back to our rooms."
Ibuki: "Good idea. You have no idea how long I had to hang around the auditorium to find a good opening for my performance."
You laughed a little, and with that, you and Ibuki went back to your dorms.
