I stood in my place frozen and my drink accidentally slipped from my hand crashing on the ground.

"Shit!" Jax yelped, looking at the broken glass, then at me. "Lexi." He grabbed my shoulder, shaking me. "You alright?"

"Huh?" I blinked my eyes.

He frowned as his eyes darted over my face. "You look like you've seen a ghost or something. What happened?" He grabbed my cheek with his other hand. "You're cold."

I backed away, shrugging his grip. "I need to use the bathroom. Excuse me."

"Wait what-"

I didn't wait for him to finish the sentence and ran outside. Cursing at my luck that there was only one door, I dodged Noah and Ivy and sprinted towards the nearest bathroom.

Entering the bathroom, I took a deep breath, not even realizing I was holding it and glanced in the mirror.

Jax was right, I look pale.

A girl came out of the stall. Ignoring her, I got into another stall and locked the door behind. I sat on the toilet seat, and my chest rose and fall with rapid breaths. burying my face in my palms, I waited for the girl to go. I heard her heels clicking, and as soon as the door closed, I screamed my guts out.

"WHAT THE F**K! AAAAAA!" I screamed like that for a few seconds, then sat straight, feeling a little better after shouting.

I got out of the stall and stood in front of the mirror, leaning my hands on the counter and gripping it tightly. I took long breaths and tried to control my shaking my body and the anger that was boiling inside me.

Noah and Ivy.

Noah and Ivy?!!!

"F**K!" I yelled and paced around the bathroom.

Is Ivy the girl Noah likes?!

How could that be possible, he said that the girl he wanted to go with was going with someone else and... Shit, Jax!

Jax must have told Noah before that he was taking Ivy, but when he asked me in front of everyone, that's when Noah got Jax would not bring Ivy and must have asked her then.

I gripped my hair tightly and stopped pacing. "F**k... F**k... Mother fuc-"

"Lexi?" I halted and deliberately turned my head towards the voice. Emily stood there with wide eyes, staring at me. "What are you doing?" She closed the door and came inside cautiously.

"Em..." I let go of my hair and my hands fall by my side, I sighed in defeat and hung my head low. "I f**ked up,"

"What?" She stood in front of me. Placing her fingers under my chin, she lifted my face. "What's f**ked up?" I looked into her concerned brown eyes that reminded me so much of my mom's.

"Everything." I whimpered, closing my eyes, and plopped my head on her shoulder. "Noah came with Ivy."

"Okay..." She trailed off, sounding confused.

"Out of millions of girls in this world, he came with Ivy." I clenched my jaw. Emily placed her hands on my back and rubbed me lightly. "And you know what that means?"

"What?"

"He likes her." I choked.

"And you like Noah." I jerked my head from her shoulder and stared at her wide eyes. "What?"

"I like Noah." I let out a mirthless laugh. Emily looked at me confused. I continued laughing and didn't know why. "I like Noah," I repeated, looking in the mirror. "Shit."

"You didn't realize that before?" Emily questioned, tilting her head.

"I mean yeah, I like Noah," I said, feeling a lot better now. "You know it really confused me why I was feeling shit all this time and now I know why." I chuckled, shaking my head. "Because I 'like' Noah."

"Lexi-"

"What wonderful luck I have, right?" I bit my lip. "I liked Jax, but he likes Ivy. Now I like Noah and he also likes Ivy." I stopped and sadly glanced at Emily. "Is Ivy better than me?"

"Hey, hey." She clasped her hands on my cheeks tightly.

"Ouch!" I yelped, but Emily tightly pinched my cheek, making me wince. "Em!" She let go of my cheeks, and I grabbed them both, glaring at her. "What was that for?!"

"That was to wake you up." She said, crossing her arms. "What the hell are you doing, Lexi? This is no time for you to mourn over your love life." She growled, and I looked at her in confusion.

"What the hell happened to you?"

"What happened to me is you?!" She shouted pointing at me.

"What did I do?" I murmured in a low voice, rubbing my cheeks.

"You have done nothing but tried to get that... that... douchebag Jax-" I rolled my eyes at her insult, "-and now you're here getting worked up because Noah brought Ivy as her date."

"But-" She held her finger making me halt, I pressed my lips keeping quiet.

"You are going to stop this now and get the hell out there. They are announcing the King and Queen and you have to be there. Know why?"

"Why?" I asked curiously.

"Because you are the Queen. Now go out and stop this nonsense. We'll take care of it later like we always do." She finished sternly looking at me.

I gave her a toothy grin. "I love you, Em."

"And I love you too, but if you keep this up, I'll pinch your cheeks again." I shook my head so fast that I thought I'll get whiplash. "Good. Now let's go." She finally smiled.

I sighed in relief. "You scared the shit out of me." She giggled. I rolled my eyes and laugh with her getting out of the bathroom.

As we went near to the gym, I heard my name being called. "Lexi Wolf? Is she here?"

My eyes widened at that. Emily and I ran towards the hall faster.

"I'm here!" I shouted and stopped at the door, panting. Everyone turned their heads towards us.

"And there's our homecoming queen everyone!" Our principal cheered with enthusiasm and everyone applauded.

I straightened myself and plastered a smile on my face, making my way toward the stage. Everyone congrats me on my way, I continued smiling and ascended the stage.

Kevin already stood there wearing the Homecoming King crown. He gave me a look, and I returned it with a smile.

Shit, my cheeks hurt!

I stood in front of our principal and bent my head a little. He complimented me as he put the beautiful crown on my head. I thanked him and stood beside Kevin.

"Where the hell were you?" He grunted.

"Redoing my makeup." I lied.

"Now the King and Queen are going to do a quick slow dance so everybody gives them a little space, after a couple of minutes you all can join." Our principal smiled at everyone as they make some space for us.

"Shall we?" Kevin asked, extending his hand towards me.

"We shall," I replied placing my hand in his and made our way towards the dance floor. 'All of me' by John Legend began playing. I wrapped my arms around Kevin's neck and his on my waist. We swayed along with the music.

"What would I do without your smart mouth?

Kevin narrowed his eyes at me. "What?" I asked.

"You're hiding something from me." He said seriously.

"Kevin..."

"I know there's something wrong, Lexi." I peeked into his chocolate brown eyes. "But I can't point out it. Is there something going with Jax? Because if there is, you can tell me and I'll teach that jerk a lesson-"

"Kevin." I softly smiled at him. "I don't know what's with you and him, but there's nothing wrong going on relax."

He bored his eyes into mine, I averted mine not being able to handle his intense gaze. People started coming on the dance floor with their partners, grinning and looking happy.

I glanced at Emily, who stood in the corner again.

"Thank you for everything, Kevin." I kissed his cheek, unwrapping my arms. "Now it's time for you to dance with your date." I grabbed his hand and took him towards Emily.

"Emily?" Kevin asked, extending his hand towards Emily, giving her his charming smile. "Do you wanna dance?"

She smiled back, putting her hand in his. "Sure."

They made their way toward the dance floor. I stood in the corner watching my friends dancing cheerfully and smiled at them.

I searched for Jax but couldn't find him anywhere. Sighing, I glanced back at the dance floor, but my eyes caught Noah's. He was standing on the other side alone, staring at me.
