Suddenly, the music turned off. I darted my eyes away from Noah and watched everyone murmuring in confusion, looking around, and then someone spoke into the mic.

"Hello everyone..." I turned my head towards the stage and my eyes grew big when I saw Jax standing there.

WTF is he doing?

"I'm sorry for disturbing you all during your dance-" everyone booed, "-but I have something important to say, so can I have a minute?"

"Take as much time you want, dude!" Jim yelled from the dance floor, encouraging him. Emily and Kevin looked at me in confusion and I shrugged.

Now I regret not asking Jax about his plan.

"Thanks." He smiled then searched the crowd and his eyes caught mine. "Lexi." I took a sharp inhale as everyone turned their heads toward me. I glanced at them, looking back at Jax in confusion.

What the hell's going on in his thickhead?!

"I know this may sound cheesy and corny to you, but I have something to tell you... I really like you." Everyone gasped, looking back and forth between us. My jaw clenched and I squeezed my hands into fists, glaring at him.

Tell me he's joking!

He jumped down from the stage and strolled towards me. Everyone made way for him, looking at him awestruck as he continued. "It was a coincidence that we met this vacation in Hawai, but I couldn't get you out of my mind." I rolled my eyes, getting annoyed.

I thought he wasn't good at acting, but damn I was wrong!

"And it's been a month that we have been dating." He stood in front of me grinning like a Cheshire cat. "But I want more than that."

"What the f**k are you doing, Jax?" I gritted through my teeth, keeping a smile on my face.

He grinned and got on his knee. A loud gasp echoed around the room of everyone, including mine. "Will you be my girlfriend?" I gaped at him in disbelief.

"F**k." I heard someone muttered from behind and the voice definitely belonged to Kevin.

I gulped and glimpsed around, everyone was watching us with huge smiles on their faces in anticipation. My eyes caught Ivy and Noah standing in the crowd, seeing them together made my blood boil, and without realizing I said.

"Yes." My eyes widened when everyone bounced and cheered in excitement like I said yes to them.

F**k!

I glanced at Jax and saw his eyes lit up and lips spread into a huge grin. He got up and the crowd started chanting.

"KISS... KISS... KISS!"

I groaned, rubbing my forehead as Jax nervously shifted in his place. 

"Come on, dude, kiss her! Be a man!" Jim yelled, making me glare at him.

If it was some other time, I would have been freaking out to kiss him, but now, I wasn't.

"I didn't think this through..." Jax muttered beside me, nervously laughing as he rubbed the back of his neck. I whirled my head towards him and he gave me a guiltily look.

I sighed and gave one last glance at Ivy and Noah before turning towards him again. "It's just a kiss, Jax, not like it'll be my first," I whispered, giving everyone a fake smile. My eyes darted to Emily behind him, and she shook her head, looking at me with her wide eyes. 

"I know that," Jax smirked. "Kevin was your first."

I clenched my jaw at his comment, but he wasn't wrong. Kevin and I were each other's first kiss, and it wasn't a big deal though. Years ago my former friends and I once played Truth or Dare and Ivy dared Kevin to kiss me.

That was all it was. Things were awkward between us for a while, but we got back to friends as if nothing happened.

I stood in front of Jax, boring my eyes into his blue ones. "Can handle a peck?"

"We don't have to do this, Lexi. I was just trying to-" Rolling my eyes, I clasped his cheeks with my palms and pressed my lips against his.

I had kissed a few boys before and none of them felt special. Kissing Jax was the same.

I thought of this moment a lot of times before, but there weren't any butterflies in my stomach, and nor was my heart beating faster as they say in books. It was nothing exciting, I didn't know why I always thought that it'll be amazing to kiss him. I guess I was wrong, there wasn't anything special at all.

I backed away and everyone cheered and hooted for us. I gave them all a sarcastic smile which they didn't realize and glimpsed where Ivy and Noah were standing and only found Ivy there, Noah was nowhere to be found. I stared at Ivy who stood there crossed arms glaring at me.

I literally saw smoke coming out of her ears and I should be happy to get on her nerves like I used to, but this time I felt no satisfaction.

Everybody got back to their dances after congratulating us. I continued giving them my sweetest smile because it wasn't their fault, they didn't know what they were congratulating me for.

"See dude, I told ya." Jim plopped his arm over Jax's shoulder. "It was epic." He grinned.

"Thanks for the help, man." They both did their bro hug thing.

Jim then glanced at me and smirked. "You know, at first I thought you'll end up with Kevin."

Kevin, who was standing behind him, smacked his head, making him wince. "The f**k dude?" Kevin growled at him.

"Sorry." He gave him a sheepish smile.

"You two look good together." Natasha smiled, darting her eyes between us. "You're going to be the 'it' couple!" She squealed.

"Sure," I murmured, turning my head the other way, and saw Emily glaring at me. My shoulders slumped and I sighed.

"Why did you say yes to him?" She whisper-shouted, as everyone kept joking about us. "I thought we were going to decide what to do with..." She looked around making sure no one was listening. "Noah."

"I don't think we have much to do about that," I answered, rubbing my forehead. "And did you not see the way everyone was looking at me!" I exclaimed in frustration. "If I said no, then they would have made me the bad guy."

"Did you know he was going to ask you?"

"No." I shook my head. "I mean, he told me he had something planned, but I had no idea what it was until now."

"What are you going to do now?" I glared back at Jax.

"First, I'm going to stab him a few in the chest with my favorite knife, because it's the sharpest, but not killing him fully. Then I'm going to plug his eyeballs out and take him to the sea and feed him to piranhas. That way he'll suffer." I finished looking back at Emily, who gaped at me.

"You're not serious, right?" I shrugged looking back at Jim and Jax talking.

Jim and Jax. I scoffed at that. Their names are also similar, as their personalities.

"Um, Jim." I got their attention and grabbed Jax's arm. "Can I have a moment with my-" I gazed at Jax. "-boyfriend."

"Sure." Jim pushed Jax towards me and winked. "He's all yours."

Rolling my eyes, I dragged Jax out of the gym towards our meeting class and pushed him inside, slamming the door closed.

"WTF Jax?!" I screamed, glaring at him.

"What?" He asked, tilting his head like he doesn't know what I was talking about.

"Don't act innocent with me," I growled. "What was all that drama for?!" I gestured towards the door.

"What?" He pouted. "I thought it was romantic."

"Romantic?" I scoffed. "It would have been f**king romantic if we-" I pointed between us, "- were actually dating."

"You're the one who suggested it." He shrugged.

I cocked my head in confusion, pointing at myself. "I did?"

He bobbed his head, beaming. "Boost things up, remember."

I gawked at him. "You could have at least discussed this with me!"

"I tried to talk with you tomorrow but didn't get any chance." I cleared my throat, standing straight.

He did try at the party so many times and I ignored him.

"I thought of telling you when we were on our way here, but you seemed distracted." He shrugged. "Besides, it's not that bad."

"That bad?" I scowled. "I may have dated a lot before, but I never had a boyfriend!" I screamed in frustration.

"There's a first for everything." He gave me a toothy grin.

"Jax." I took long breaths, clenching my fists, and tried to control my anger before I break his head. "Look. I know I said I'll help you get Ivy." I stood in front of him and said calmly. "But I don't think it's working now."

"Oh come on Lexi, can't you see." He grinned, placing his hands on my shoulders, and shook me. "It's working perfectly. Did you see Ivy's face?" He blinked at me with his hopeful blue eyes.

"Yeah, I did-"

"It's working I know and now since we boosted things up." He smirked. "I know it won't take much longer." I sighed, nodding my head.

I just want this to be over now.
