Thirteen

Ivy and I gave each other a dirty look when unexpectedly the corner of her mouth quirked up and she gave me a once-over.

"What?" I cocked a brow.

"Nothing." She tilted her head. "I'm just thinking how long it will take Jax to leave you."

"Oh, really." I scoffed.

"You aren't the first girl he dated, Lexi." She took a step towards me. "And probably won't be the last. He'll leave the minute he's done with you." She snapped her fingers and mocked. "Just like that."

I'm aware of Jax's dating history.

He only dated those girls to make Ivy jealous. When it wouldn't work he leave them and he did it so smoothly that no one got his game. That's the reason despite all that he wasn't labeled a player. He was only a gentleman who was looking for his one and only.

"I know about his past relationships, Ivy," I said in the same tone, stepping closer to her and smirked. "But I'm not one of those girls."

"He'll turn his back on you, just like he did before." Viper sneered.

Before I could give her a remark, Emily spoke. "That was then, and this is now, Vanessa."

"Nothing's change nerd-"

I snapped, cutting her off. "We'll see who is going to turn their backs on whom."

"What's going on?" Jax's voice broke our staring competition.

We all stepped back with huge smiles on our faces.

"Nothing." I side glanced at Ivy, who had a fake a** smile on her face. "We were just having a girls' talk."

"Yeah." She beamed and darted her mad blazing gaze at me. "Old friends catching up."

"We got the tickets!" Kevin announced and walked towards us with a sly grin on his face. "It's 'She's the man'."

I didn't know they still show this movie in Cinemas.

"What?!" Ivy cried out in fear and glared at Darren. "I thought we were watching 'Annabelle'."

Annabelle? That was her plan?

Everyone here knew how much scared I'm of horror movies and she wanted to watch that?

Guess your plans didn't work out bit*h.

"Oh, I'm sorry." Kevin pouted at Ivy. "They were sold out and these..." He waved the tickets in front of her scowling face. "Were the only ones left."

She growled at him and turned towards Jax. "I will not watch that cheesy movie."

I gasped loudly. "It's not cheesy, it's perfect. I mean Channing Tatum is in and he's like phew!" I blew out, fanning my face.

"But I don't want to watch it." She gritted through her teeth.

"You can leave," I suggested and placed my elbow on Jax's shoulder. "No one is forcing you to watch it, Ivy."

She squinted her eyes at me then huffed. "Fine. I'll watch it."

Smirking, I glimpsed at the snacks in Jax's hands and snatched the popcorn. "Is that Marmite?!"

"Uh yeah it's for-"

I spun on my heels, cutting him off, and passed them to Emily. "Em loves this flavor."

"Thanks." She took the popcorn and forced a smile that looked constipated.

"But-but..." Ivy gaped at her and then looked at Jax with wide eyes. "Tell me you bought more of them."

"Sorry." He scratched his head in confusion. "I only got one. I didn't know Emily liked that flavor too."

"What am I going to eat then?!" Ivy screamed.

"You can eat anything." I gestured towards the snacks Noah and Jax bought. "They have more."

"I only eat those." She snarled.

"I can get you more..." Jax shifted to go back, but I held his arm.

"Look at the line, Jax." I waved towards the big line. "I'm sure Ivy can survive without snacks." He opened his mouth, but I cut him off. "Let's go or else we'll miss the movie."

I strode inside the movie theater with Emily, and Kevin laughing beside me.

"Her face was hilarious." Kevin snickered. "I'm glad I came."

I chuckled and we waited for the others to come. Ivy stood outside shouting at Jax and I rolled my eyes at them.

They look like a married couple who's about to get a divorce.

"Here." A medium-sized bucket of Chessy Nachos came into my view and I glanced up at the person who brought it. "It's for you."

"Thank you, Noah." I cheerfully took them from him but then pouted. "You're going to get me fat today."

"You don't need to worry about that. You look perfect." He shrugged and walked inside the cinema room. Gawking, I followed him inside with Kevin and Emily beside me.

Perfect? Huh...

Observing the theater, I signaled Kevin and Emily and they went towards the first row. I grabbed Jax's hand, who was still apologizing to Ivy.

"Let's sit in the front."

"No way I'm sitting in the front." Ivy shrieked.

"Kevin likes to sit in the front and Em's eyesight is weak so she won't be able to see from behind."

"But she wears glasses." Jax frowned at me.

"Exactly." I blinked at him.

They watched me like I lost some screw until Darren spoke. "I don't mind sitting in the front."

"We'll sit in the back." Vanessa hissed.

"It's the same thing, Van." He smiled, going to the front and Viper followed him avoiding Ivy's glare.

Jax darted his gaze between me and Ivy and I tightened my grip on his arm.

"Let's go in the front Jax." I looked dead in his eyes, daring him to say no to me.

"Ok." He sighed. My lips stretched into a huge grin and I glimpsed at Ivy who gaped at Jax in disbelief.

Everything's working just as planned.

The three of us walked to the front and saw the others already settled. Noah sat on the first seat with Kevin. Beside him were two empty seats then sat Viper, Darren, and Emily, and another empty seat. I scowled at the weird seating arrangement they did.

Why did they sit like that?! I want to sit beside Noah!

My eyes darted to Kevin who was adjusting in his seat and smirked. "Oh, Jax." He glanced at me and I winked. "Why don't you sit beside Kevin with Ivy."

"I like how your brain works, Lexi." He chuckled and plastered a smile on my face.

He thinks I'm doing it so that he can sit with Ivy? I scoffed at that thought. As if.

I quietly walked to sit beside Emily and she raised her brows at me. "Why aren't you sitting with Jax?"

"I will. Just wait." I took my phone out and texted Kevin.

Me: Swap seats with me.

Leaning out of my seat, I watched Kevin as he frowned at his phone and gave me a side glance.

K: Why?

I rolled my eyes and quickly typed.

Me: Because I want to sit with Noah_

I halted and stared at my phone. He will ask millions of questions if I send him this so I removed it.

Me: Because I want to sit with Jax.

K: But I don't want to sit in the corner.

Me: You sleep during the entire movie, Kevin!

It won't affect him if he sat in the corner or the middle. I growled at my phone when he answered me.

K: No :P

Me: Fine. I won't cheer for you in the homecoming game.

K: You will.

Me: No. I'll cheer for Jim. I'm sure he'll be delighted with it ;)

Grinning, I pressed the send button and glimpsed at Kevin. His eyes widened when he read my text and whirled his head towards me. My phone beeped with a new message.

K: You wouldn't dare.

I shrugged and leaned back in my seat.

"So...?" Emily observed my smirk and I began counting.

"Three...two...one-"

PING!

K: Fine!

Giggling, I showed my texts to Emily. "See. It was easy."

She shook her head in amusement and we turned towards Kevin, who stood in front of me with a glare.

"You're evil." He huffed, crossing his arms.

"And you love me." I gave him a flying kiss and ran toward Noah.

"You planned to sit beside me all along, didn't you?" Jax smirked from my left when I dropped on Kevin's seat.

"Yes." I lied, giving him my angelic smile then turned towards Noah. "Hey'ya neighbor."

"Hi." He muttered, looking at the screen.

Happy with the seating arrangement, I relaxed in my seat and the movie began. I've watched this movie thousands of times still I doesn't get old.

I ate the Nachos and extended the bucket toward Noah. "Want some?"

He glanced at the Nachos and then bored his eyes into mine. "I thought you didn't like sharing."

"I can make exceptions sometimes." I shrugged like it wasn't a big deal, which BTW was because I never shared my Nachos with anyone.

He smiled and took some. I turned towards the screen to watch the movie but groaned when I heard Jax and Ivy talking.

"Can you guys zip it?" I snapped at them and jerked my head at the screen. "I'm trying to concentrate here."

"Don't expect everyone to be quiet while watching a stupid movie," Ivy scoffed.

I narrowed my eyes at Jax, who gave me a shrug. Rolling my eyes at them, I turned back in my seat.

Fine, if they won't stop talking then I'll talk to Noah.

My head twisted towards him and a gasp escaped my lips when I saw him with his earphones on and eyes closed.

He's not even watching the movie!

A/N
I know the movie I mentioned is old and probably doesn't run in Cinemas but I really love it and I think it suits the book. You'll see in the coming Chapters what I mean😆
