Fifty-five

I was woken up by the pounding in my head, groaning I shifted in my position, but something heavy on my stomach stopped me. Opening my eyes slowly, I turned my head and saw Kevin's sleepy form.

Last night's events came to my mind. Me crying for Noah, then we drank and watched Notebook. After that, he confessed his feelings. It went awkward for a while, but we got back to normal and finished the movie, then fall asleep on the couch.

"Kevin... Kevin..." I shook his shoulder to wake him up. He stirred but didn't wake up. I leaned up a little, then my stomach clenched. I jolted up from my place, startling Kevin.

"Don't leave Allie!" He screamed in a daze, but I ignored him and ran towards the bathroom covering my mouth. As soon as I reached the bathroom, I bent down in front of the toilet and vomit my guts.

The aftermath was the only reason I never got drunk. After a few minutes, I got up from my place and flushed my vomit, cringing. I washed my face and brushed my teeth with my extra toothbrush. It was a good thing I had my stuff here.

When I was done, I walked back to the living room and ran fingers through my hair, gripping them tightly. I saw Kevin sitting with a glass of water and medicine.

"Take this. It'll make you feel better." I plucked beside him and took the medicine.

"I'm never getting drunk again," I grunted, massaging my pondering head.

"Good luck with that." Kevin snickered.

"Why do you not look shit?" I asked in irritation.

"Because I have a high tolerance of drinking." He grinned. "And it wasn't my first time either."

I rolled my eyes and put my head on the couch, staring at the ceiling. Now I know how Noah must felt when he got drunk that night.

Noah...

I got up and picked my phone, checking the text I send, and gasped. "I seriously texted them!"

"Of course you did." Kevin rolled his eyes, getting up and stretched. "You need to tell him- wait... them?" He halted, looking at me in confusion.

"Everyone," I muttered and showed him the message. I texted Ivy, Jax, Emily, Darren, Vanessa, and Noah and asked them to come to the treehouse today because it was-

"Confessions time?" Kevin read the text looking at me. "And everyone?" He gave me a smug smile.

I whimpered and covered my eyes with my palm. "I don't know what I was thinking!"

"Well, your drunk self was smart that I can tell you." Kevin chuckled. I glared at him and he put his hands in surrender.

After breakfast or I should say lunch. I wore the extra clothes I had at Kevin's place, a black top and jeans with one of Kevin's red shirt over it, and left for the treehouse.

Once we reached I saw Noah, Emily, Darren on one side and Jax, Ivy, and Vanessa on the other.

"They all came." I groaned, looking at them in disbelief.

"The more the merrier." Kevin grinned, getting out of his car. "This is going to be fun." I took a long breath and patted my cheeks.

You can do this, Lexi.

I opened the door slowly and walked towards them with Kevin beside me, noticing us they turned their heads.

It felt the same way like three years ago but the opposite. That day Kevin and I left everyone at the treehouse and today we were going towards it. Emily and Darren were the only new ones.

"You all came." I breathe, stopping in front of them and plastered a smile.

"Why do you call us here?" Vanessa asked, looking annoyed.

"You'll find out," I said deadpan.

Why did she even come if she wasn't interested?

"We should go up." Kevin grinned, rubbing his hands in anticipation. "It'll be fun that way." He said and walked towards the stairs with everyone trailing behind them.

I stood in the back and glanced at Noah, who was already watching me with his intense gaze, thin lips, and his forehead creased.

He looks angry.

"Hi, Noah." I smiled and stood beside him. "You were great last night-"

"Yeah." He cut me off in a bored tone. "I got your message from Emily."

I cleared my throat. "Did you win?"

"I did." He replied but didn't sound enthusiastic, I still smiled and cheered.

"I'm so happy that you did Noah."

"You're happy?" He said looking annoyed. "You couldn't even wait to run away after my performance."

I blew a breath thinking about last night when I ran away after seeing him and Elizabeth kiss.

"I was-"

"I went to your house last night to meet you." My eyes grew enormous at his statement.

"Y-you went to my house?"

"But guess what? You weren't there, and it reminded me of the days when I used to go to your house, looking for you, but you were never there." He fumed.

I ducked my head in guilt. "I can explain-"

"Are you two coming or what?!" I looked up and saw Kevin waving at us to come up.

Noah ignored me and went up. I took deep breaths and followed him. I have to tell him no matter what.

I'm going to tell him and end this agony today.

I stepped inside the treehouse, and everyone looked at me, waiting for me to start. Clearing my throat. "I thank you all for taking out time from your precious lives to come here."

They nodded while Vanessa rolled her eyes. "Can you fast it up a bit?"

My jaw clenched, and I continued. "As I said in the text, I wanted to confess few things to you all..."

Well, not all but now that I drunk texted, and called them here, so be it.

"I'm going to start with my mom..."

"You don't have to, Lexi." Emily stepped forward, but I shook my head.

"She died a few years ago because of cancer, and I hide that from all." Jax and Vanessa looked shook since they were the only ones left. "And I don't want sympathy or anything I just wanted to let things out." I rushed. "Second is that I hate Ivy and Vanessa." Ivy chuckled while Vanessa gasped and stepped forward.

"I don't like you either-"

"And I'm so glad that you ditched her." I glanced at Darren. "You never deserved to be with a cunning viper."

Everyone burst out laughing as Vanessa looked at me in disbelief.

"I'm glad too," Darren smirked.

"Is this why you called me here? To insult me!" Vanessa screamed.

"No..." I shook my head. "I wanted to let you know," I batted my eyelashes at her. "In case I wasn't clear."

"Well, I have a confession too." Vanessa stepped forward, glaring at Emily. "I hate you because you stool my boyfriend bit*h."

"I didn't steal him!" Emily stepped forward with a matching glare.

"So you want me to believe that you guys never did it behind my back-"

"I didn't cheat on you, Vanessa." Darren stood beside Emily. "We broke up because of you and your unnecessary suspicion and it got frustrated." I watched back and forth between them as they bickered.

This...is...not how imagined it to be.

"Ok!" I clasped my hands together, getting their attention. "Now that it's clear that Darren broke up with Vanessa, and then started dating Emily, we'll move on to next." I glanced at Ivy, who stood in the corner. "Ivy, do you want to confess something?"

I darted my eyes between her and Kevin. "N-no..." She muttered, looking at me with wide eyes, then gulped. "Actually, yes." She sighed and told everything that she told me at the burger shop.

Everyone went silent, then Emily spoke. "I also want to confess something." She fiddled with her fingers. "I used to have a crush on Kevin-"

"I knew it!" Vanessa sneered.

"- but then I met Darren and well..."

"And we all know how things went after that." I helped her out, smiling.

"I don't blame you, Emily," Kevin smirked, adjusting his collar. "It's hard for not to fall for me- Ouch!" I elbowed him, cutting him off.

"Do you have anything to say, Darren?"

"Nothing." He shrugged, grinning at Emily. "Don't worry, I used to have a crush on him too." I choked on the air after his comment.

"What the f**k!" Kevin screamed and stood behind me, making me his shield. "Dude, I'm straight!"

"I-I didn't mean it like that!" Darren hesitated. "It came out wrong... What I meant was that I admired you for being popular, cool, and how you played football."

"Oh..." We sighed in relief.

"I swear, I'm straight Emily," Darren mumbled to Emily as she giggled.

"I know." I shook my head at him in amusement.

"Kevin?" I stepped aside.

"I've done enough confession for the month." He said looking flushed. I scoffed.

Now he's blushing?

"But just to let you know, I hate Jax and Ivy." I glanced at Ivy and saw a hurt flash on her face for a second, but she composed it.

"Feeling mutual buddy." She mumbled, crossing her arms.

I glanced at Noah, and Jax as they stood leaning to the wall. "Do you guys have anything to say?" I asked. They eyed each other in silence.
