Eighteen
"Are you admitting it or not?" I asked for the nth time.
"I didn't d-do it!" She continued to lie.
Sighing in irritation, I massaged my forehead and gestured to Emily. "Take over please."
"You're the one who posted it and we have proof. The name with which you posted that video is 'queen_forever'-" I scoffed at that. "And this isn't the first thing you posted."
I crossed my arm and leaned onto my one leg as I let Emily do the talking.
"Since it said 'queen' it was obvious that it was a girl. I observed every girl in our class. We got seating arrangements after pairing and from the angle of the video. I got three suspects, which included you too. I looked into the other things you shared and in one post there was a bag." She gestured towards the one in her hand. "You have the same."
"S-so what? Anyone c-can have it-"
"Enough!" I shouted and stood face to face, glaring into her eyes. "Why did you post that video? Have I ever done anything to you, Jasmine?" She shook her head and I slammed my hands on the wall behind her. "Then why?!"
"I'm sorry!" She sobbed, sliding on the floor. "I-I thought it was f-funny and I'm sorry!"
"You thought that was funny? A girl drenched in milk." My mind went to Ivy and I chuckled. "Yeah, that's funny."
"Y-You think?" She sniffed and I looked down at her.
"It is... But since the girl was me. It wasn't." I growled and tapped my cheek with my finger. "Now what punishment should I give you?"
"Pl-please, I'm sorry. I'll delete it right now."
I let out a nasty laugh and shook my head. "Everyone has already watched it. What's the use now?"
"I'm sorry, please don't hurt me." She cried, burying her head in her hands.
I rolled my eyes at her and glanced at Emily. Let her go, she mouthed. I sighed and was about to tell her to go when the bathroom door burst open.
"What's going on here?" I squeezed my eyes shut and groaned at the bit*hes voice.
"Get out, Ivy. I'm busy here." I gritted and whirled my head towards her.
Her eyes flickered from me to the whimpering girl and she let out a loud gasp, covering her mouth. "What are you doing to the poor girl?!"
"I'm not in the mood, Ivy, leave." I rolled my eyes.
"Leave you to bully the poor girl?" Viper hissed, going towards the girl.
"It's none for your business!" I yelled at Ivy. We both glared at each other and because of that Jasmine got her chance, and she went on her feet and ran out of the bathroom.
"Wait, I'm not don-" Before I could finish my sentence, she was already out. Groaning, I rubbed my face. "Look what you did!" I barked at Ivy, pointing at the door.
"What's the big deal anyway it's just a video. Don't be such a baby Lexi." Vanessa said rolling her eyes.
Emily came forward, showing them the video of Ivy at movie night. "So you won't mind if I post this."
"Give me that." Ivy tried to snatch the phone, but Emily pulled it back in time.
"What's the big deal now it's just a video?" Emily pouted, repeating her words. "Don't be a baby."
"You want to start that nerd-" Vanessa stepped forward, but I cut her off.
"If you don't want to die today, get back in your hole, viper." I snapped.
"I knew you were like this from the beginning." Ivy gave me a disgusted look.
"F off bit*h." I went around her to leave but halted in my steps when she continued.
"What will Jax think when he'll find out about this?" I whirled on my heels, facing her again. "This time I even have evidence."
"Do what you want, Ivy. I don't give a damn."
"I don't need to do anything anymore." She shrugged, crossing her arms. I arched my brow. "He's taking me to the homecoming." She smirked.
"Oh, really." I scoffed, crossing my arms too. "He didn't tell me he asked you."
"He will. I gave him a hint and I know he'll ask me." I rolled my eyes. "See Lexi." She stepped forward, pouting at me. "I knew he'll be done with you in an instant."
"You do not know what you're talking about, Ivy," I said in a bored tone.
I was getting exhausted from all the drama and anger. First Noah, then Jasmine, and now Ivy.
"I know what I am talking about, Lexi. I knew from the beginning he will never fall for you, and when I'll tell him about this..." She waved around. "He'll be convinced that you have mental issues." She smirked.
"Mental issues?" My face scrunched in confusion.
"I know everything about you." She laughed, giving me a once-over. "I know you went to the therapist for your anger issues and how things went out for you." My eyes widened at that.
How the hell does she know about that?! No one knows about it except Emily and Kevin.
Satisfied by my reaction, she laughed with Vanessa. "You look like a lost puppy!" Vanessa sneered.
"That's enough," Emily growled at them, grabbing my arm, but I shrugged it.
"What the hell are you talking about, Ivy?" I squeezed my hands into a fist tightly.
"You want to know how I found out about it." She smirked. "You went to New York for your therapy when we moved from here. My mom worked at the same place you went, and she told me everything about you and your outburst."
Ivy's parents were divorced, she lived with her father here and her mother was in New York.
"How you would explode and how hard things got for you." She leaned in and whispered in my ear. "That's why your mom left you because she couldn't handle you anymore."
I inhale sharply at the mention of my mom. "You have gone too far, Ivy," Emily growled at her, pushing her away, but she continued.
"This facade of yours." She gave me a once-over again. "Will not fool me, Lexi. You try to act like a strong girl but I know the true you. You're broken and who wants a broken girl." She scoffed. "Not even your mother..."
I heard Emily shouting at Ivy, but my mind went blank and flashbacks of my mother came. The night when she told me she had to leave.
"Tell me this isn't true. Tell me you're lying!" I threw the files from her hands, stepping back.
"Relax Lexi." Dad tried to calm me down, stepping towards me, but I kept going back.
"No!" I stared at mom again. "You can stay here right, I'm sure cancer can be treated. It should be! What are doctors for?!" I yelled, gripping my hair tightly as I fell to my knees.
My mom came beside me, hugging me tightly. "I'm sorry, baby."
"Mom, don't leave me, please." I cried, clinging to her.
"I'm sorry." She wiped my cheeks.
"But you said you'll be with me forever!" I screamed, throwing things. "You said you'll be at my graduation. You said we'll plan my wedding together! Why are you leaving me now?"
"I can't be with you forever." Her eyes filled with tears as she looked at me with her sad brown eyes. "And I'm sorry about that."
"Dad." I turned to my dad and begged. "You know many people, right? You can ask them to treat mom."
"Yes, baby." He sat beside me, hugging us. "I'll take her to the best hospital."
"I'm coming with you guys." I sniffed.
"No, you're not Lexi." I glanced at my mom. "I'm going alone and you'll stay here with your dad-"
"No!" I refused. "I want to be with you mom, please. Don't leave me here."
She looked at me and then dad. "I don't want you to see me like-"
"I don't give a damn! I want to go with you!"
And they took me with them. Mom stayed in the hospital for a year, fighting for life, but in the end, nothing got better.
