"Bella.....how long are you gonna stand here....let's go inside." Mahir urges her impatiently but both Bella and Bani keeps pacing back and forth in there front yard.

Godd!!!

"Girls!!! Come on!!! It's been half an hour since we've been standing outside your house. Let's go in. See....even our family has arrived." I scowl at them both.

"Bella....let's just rehash once what we are gonna say, okay...?" my wife says taking a deep breath.

"Fine....you become mummy....I'll be me." Bella says back.

Seriously!! What are they?? Elementary school girls???

Bani: Fine...start.

"Hello mummy....I got married and you know with whom? With Mahir. And you know what more...? Bani was my witness of honour." Bella squeaks sheepishly.

Bani keeps staring at Bella frostily, then suddenly bursts out, "WHAT!!! HAVE YOU LOST IT, Bella??? Marriage without family's consent?? That too with your fiance's brother??? Is this what I have taught you for the past 25 years? Hay bhagvan!!🤦‍♀️ And BANI....HOW COULD YOU!!!" then Bani lets a loud breath out and says, "Well...I'm gonna pass out just after hearing this much....so please excuse me for the later part." saying this she hides her face into my chest.

Mahir and I both look at each other and chuckle rolling our eyes.

Well she did sound like my sasu ma!

"There is no other way???" Bella asks making a miserable face.

Bani pulls up her face from my chest and says being equally miserable, "No sis....unless you want to elope. But I guess that's no more an option."

"Come on, girls!! You did not do crime for a murder. It's not gonna be that Bad. Let's just go in and see." I say patting Bani's back giving her some reassurance.

"Not bad?? It's gonna be pathetic!!!" Bella scoffs, "Just think....now we have to face the family once....and then we have to sit once more on the court when Abhishek gets back from his business trip!" saying this Bella whines once more and my wife joins her.

"Are.... Abhi bhai business trip se wapas aate aate hum apne honeymoon trip par pahunch jayenge na.... don't worry about that Juliet!!😚" that Mahir utters sloppily.

"Dream on, Idiot!!!😐" Bella flares at him and he jumps one step back in fear.

Well...looks like my brother's married life is gonna be no different than my one....Sharma twins factor😒

"What will we do now, Veer....mummy will kill us." Bani whines into my chest again.

Enough of this whining!!!

I push Bani away from me, "Girls! Move! Inside. Right now." I say sternly, "And Bani....sweetheart!! Your husband is still alive...so is Bella's. So please stop acting like this is the last day of your life.😐"

"Yeah...yeah...Everyone knows what kind of husband you are!!" Bella scowls at me and pulls Bani away towards her.

This girl!!!

"You're gonna be by my side na..." Bella says while walking and I look ahead to see she's holding Bani's hand.

Bani looks up at me for a second, then at Mahir for a mili second, and then she nods her head at Bella, "Sure....All the time!" and keeps walking with her.

But obviously you saw where her loyality stands just now....😏

"Bro....are you gonna ditch me inside???" Mahir whispers at me while going in.

I look at him squinting for a second, "You remember how you ditched me and Bani yesterday?🤨"

Mahir's face falls, "Yeah...got it."

"No, you don't." I give him a smug smile, "...that ditching was the best thing you've ever done in your life, bro. So don't worry....I'm not gonna dump you there inside." I pat his shoulder and he grins, but I scowl at him right away, "But...make sure one thing.....you wife leaves my one alone as soon as the problem gets solved. Boy...I don't want invasion in my privacy anymore😐."

30 seconds...my wife is away from me...!!!

Finally we all go inside.

"Bani dear......you okay..?" as soon as we set foot at the hall room, my Mom and bua come dashing towards Bani wrapping their arms around her.

Bani fumbles a bit between these two ladies and mutters, "Umm....yeah...I'm okay Mom...Sumi Ma...So far.."

"What okay dear....look at your face! ro ro kar kya haal banayi apne shakal ko...What happened dear? Did someone do something?? Humse to koyi galti hui thi kya...?" Mom bombards her with questions.

Bani shakes her head forcefully, "No..no...Mom...please don't say such things. Nothing like that happened. Please don't stress yourselves. I'm so sorry, I left like that. I just couldn't..." Bani stops midway looking down in immense regret.

Hope she's not gonna cry again!!

"But dear...what happened that..." bua starts again but I interrupt her this time.

"Mom...bua, please....can we just go inside instead of talking here???" I look at them in annoyance.

Both mom and bua purses their lips but says nothing. Before I can get hold of my Bani...my mom and bua takes her inside with them.

Whoa....😦 first Bella...now this two!!😑

As we go inside, I see everyone in Sharma house including my family, all are standing in distress. Pappa ji comes rushing to Bani, "Doll....!!!" he takes Bani in a fatherly hug and cups her face worriedly, "Doll...what happened?? They said you left the house crying.... What is it, tell me...is it because of this marr..." but Bani doesn't let him finish.

"Pappa....pappa....calm down...nothing happened. I'm absolutely fine. Don't worry so much." Bani tries to calm Pappa ji but Narayan Sharma is not to budge.

"How can I calm down, doll?? You think I don't know you? You never do anything unreasonable. And here you left house at this hour..... crying...without saying anything to anyone. Only I wonder what made you behave like this. You know how many bad thoughts came to my mind??.... How many death I've been going through till I got the news...and even now seeing this broken face of yours...." Pappa ji says in a broken voice as tears roll down his cheek.

Well, this is not how any of us imagined to be welcomed....

"Pappa....please...don't." Bani wipes her father's tears and says being equally emotional, "... Please Don't worry about me anymore. whatever it was...it's not an issue anymore. We have a bigger issue right now to sort out."

"What bigger issue Bani?? Umm...are you thinking about taking......???" bade chachu trails but Bani cuts him.

"No chachu.... it's not about me. It's about Bella." Bani says looking at sasu ma timidly biting my lips inside.

"Bella.....what about Bel...." mummy ji looks at Bella and stops for a second, then asks narrowing her eyes, "...Bella....why are you wearing a garland??"

Oh boy...here comes...😶

Bella looks at Bani for support and Bani walks up to her while choti chachi points out, "Not just Bella....see didi....Mahir too is wearing one.☹️"

"Mahir....?" after so long my family looks at their son.

"Well.....we've stressed quite lot, children...will please tell us now what happened?" fufa says more like scowling.

"Umm....actually....dad...everyone....wo I and....Bella....and I...and Bella umm actually.......Bella...and I...." Mahir starts stammering.

Seriously.... That fucker is wrecking right now!!

"Stop stammering and tell us what is it??" My Dad growls while everyone stares at Mahir impatiently.

"Wo...mamu...I...umm...me.." that idiot can't form even a sentence....🤦‍♂️

Well....time to drop the bomb

"Mahir and Bella got married...guys...." finally I say looking at everyone stiffly.

"WHAT!!!" everyone exclaims in unison.

"Today. At Police station." I finish my sentence.

"That can't be true. How....." mummy ji whispers looking at Bella incredulously.

"Umm... it is mummy. I signed in the registry paper." Bella squeaks then looks at Bani and Bani squeaks the same way as her twin, "I signed on the witness box."

"Bella!!Bani!!" my sasu ma snarls at her daughters disbelievingly while both Bella and Bani squeaks again squeezing into each other, "Pranam Mummy!!!🙊"

Definitely guilt act!!!

Mummy ji starts again, "HAVE YOU LOST IT, BELLA!!! marriage without family's consent.... That too with Mahir... Abhisekh's brother? Hey bagvan🤦‍♀️.... Is this what I've taught you for past 25 years??? And Bani!!! HOW COULD YOU! At least now I expected better from you!!"

Well....my wife was not entirely wrong about her mother...

Bani and Bella might have squeezed more into each other only if there was anymore space between them.

"Wait Mohini.....let them talk first before reaching to any conclusion." Pappa ji says to mummy ji.

"Look.....children....It's not time to joke around. I'm telling you again....just spit out what the matter is." bua says glaring at her son.

Well....Mahir is definitely not in the state of topic.... Bella and Bani are too busy to hide behind one another, so seeing no other option I start.

"Well.....after we reach the park...." I was about to say but everyone cuts me.

Everyone: Park???

I sigh, "Yes park....that's where Bani and Bella were. Well....after we reached, I tried to talk to Bani....that time a patrol guy came and...." I say everything but obviously in a modified version excluding mine and Bani's conversation...and Mahir's Mastermind plan.

After I finish everyone drowns into pin dropped silence.

"So....you see, they really didn’t have much option, and we also didn’t know what we were doing. But yeah, even if we knew, we'd do the same thing though." I conclude.

After a long silence, Fufa growls bumping his fist on the sofa, "How dare they? We'll charge case against this police guy. He had no right to do this to our children. They could have informed us!!" 

"Calm down, Anirudh bhai. It's not the time to take hasty decision." chote chachu says patting his back.

"Exactly, Andi. We cannot just go and charge Against the police. Don't you see....our children has no solid proof on their defence. Doing complaint will only waste our time and demean Bella's honour. We have to think through the matter." Sumi bua says looking tensed. Everyone nods in agreement.

Fufa sighs, "What to say.....Vaidya bhai...I'm extremely sorry.." fufa folds his hands together to Pappa ji, "....that because of my son your daughter has to go through this. I'm so ashamed!!"

Sorry to say fufa ji....you're ashamed but your son is at cloud seven...

Pappa grabs fufa's hand rushing and says, "No..no Anirudh bhai....please don't say such things. It was a misunderstanding and what else to say.... Just fate! Please don't blame yourself or you son. He too is as much victim as my daughter is."

Only if he knew better....

"So....what now??" Tapish bhai asks to the elders.

Shaadi number 2 what else Tapish bhai....

"Well.....we better not take any rush decision." Mom reminds everyone.

Mummy ji kind of glares at her daughter (it's pretty hard to differentiate at which one) and says, "And we also cannot forget about Abhishek. His opinion matters too."

Who's now out of the box btw...

"Then I guess we better talk about this after Abhishek comes back." Dad suggests and everyone nods in agreement.

"Yeah......we'll take our leave now, Narayan bhai...Mohini behen. Abb...maafi mangne ka vasha bhi nhi hein hamare pass...bar bar hamare ladko ki wajahse hi apki betiyo ko bhugatna pad rhi hein..." mom says gloomily and mummy ji hugs her.

"Don’t say like this Radha behen. None of us knew things like this would happen neither can we change it now. Let's just have a good think and then discuss the matter." mummy ji says amicably.

"Fine....Let's go Radha....everyone." dad ushers everyone.

Bani walks towards me, I extend my hand for her. But before she can walk two steps Bella holds her back and asks with big eyes, "Where are you going??😐"

To your in-laws my nayi bhabi...where else🙄

"Where else....to home." Bani replies looking at her oddly.

"You're not going anywhere else untill you tell me what happened. Plus this is your home too. Stay here.😐" Bella says sternly and you can tell she's dead serious.

"Are...but... " Bani tries to say but Pappa ji interrupts, "Yeah....Bella is right dear. Whatever happened must have affected you deeply, I think you better umm...stay here for some days."

Oh no!

"No pappa....nothing like that...I'm absolutely fine. I can go...." Bani walks to me again but choti chachi doesn’t let her move forward.

She starts caressing Bani' face and says, "What fine, betiya... Look at your face!! Your eyes have got swollen due to crying. Never in my life have I seen you like this. And anyways you would have to come for the 'pag phirayi' na tomorrow....then why not you stay here from today and relax for some days at least...!"

"Aree....no chachi...." Bani looks at me miserably.

This time my dad talks, "Yeah...they are right Bani dear. Mahir told us that you're disturbed about something related to you two."

That Mahir fucker!!!

Dad glares at me then continues, "So, it's best that you stay here and relax your mind from all the hustle. I think we should give you scope to rethink everything this time and decide rather than forcing you into anything. Just in case...., remember that we'll always respect you and your decision. So don't stress, dear." saying this he smiles at her.

What!

"But dad, why does she.... She said she's fine na..." I try to argue but my dad cuts me, "Veer, Let's go." he growls.

No way!!! I just got my love back man!!!

"I just don't get why her...." I protest again....but this time Bani interrupts.

"No! I'll stay here for some days. I think I'll feel better then." she says looking at me intensely.

You gotta be kidding me!!!

I look at her morbidly...did she have to do this??? But Bani looks back at me as if trying to say something. But I'm too pissed to get that right now. Without saying anything else I get out of Sharma mansion mentally battling who to kill...Mahir...or Bella...or Bani(not an option) or myself!!!
