My time is frozen where I let you go,
where I turned my back on your love.
Days move, but I am trapped here still,
lost in what I threw away.
You were light, pure and steady,
and I chased shadows,
selfish and blind-
now the world feels cold and empty,
and I am alone in my regret.

I can't tell you how this heart aches,
how I walk these streets in silence,
feeling your warmth like a ghostly touch,
knowing I'm the one who broke us.
If I could turn, reach back through time,
I'd hold you tighter, I'd be true.
But the past is dark and unchanging,
leaving only shadows to cling to.

I see your face in the pale moonlight,
a memory soft and out of reach.
The stars feel like they're watching me,
reminding me of every lie I spoke.
You were the sun, the sky, the rain-
and I let you slip, let us fade.
Now I'm the night, cold and bare,
no light to guide me through this shame.

Each drop of rain is your sorrow now,
falling heavy on my empty hands.
If words could heal, I'd tell you all,
but words are hollow in the end.
I walk alone in what I've lost,
the world a mirror of my mistake.
I breathe, but time is broken here,
trapped where I let your heart break.

So here I stay, my own cage built,
held by the weight of my own choice.
If love could free me, I'd find you again,
but I know it's far too late to change.
I carry this ache through sleepless nights,
my chest a hollow, empty place-
for you were the only light I had,
and I gave it up, left in this dark.
