THE THIRD PERSON'S HEART

I used to see you from a distance.

But as I started to come closer,

you seemed to be drifting away.

My heart was already yours,

even before I realized.

But as I get more closer,

I found that yours could never be mine.

And I got to know that

somebody already captured your heart

just like you did mine.

And I see that you love them back,

making me want to be that person so badly.

I see your sweet and tempting smile

luring me towards you.

And yet I need to stop before it's too late.

Before I start wanting to be the reason

behind your smile.

Despite all of this, I am happy for you.

Happy that you experienced

what I never could have.

Happy that you don't know that

A piece of my heart

shall always remain with you,

even if you don't notice it at all.

You are the reason

why I smile like an idiot.

You are the reason

why I cry like there's no tomorrow.

Like the rain, you're stormy yet soothing.

Just like the fire, you're warm yet destructive.

Too dangerous if crossed the limits.

I don't have a clue what to do right now,

cause you are the only thing on my mind.

I find my solace in you,

yet sometimes you manage to

become my distress.

My feelings remain as you may say,

Unreciprocated, Unfulfilled and Unrequited.

And yet I can't just stop loving you.

Even though it is my biggest mistake,

I don't regret it.

HAVED YOU EVER HAD SOMEONE WHOM YOU WANTED TO KEEP TO YOURSELF BUT AT LAST YOU HAD TO LET GO OF THEM?

HAVE YOU EVER HAD SOMEONE WHOM YOU JUST CAN'T STOP LOVING EVEN IF DESTINY ALWAYS SEEMS TO TEAR YOU BOTH APART?

HAVE YOU EVER LOVED SOMEONE WHO IS ALREADY TAKEN?

HAS ANYBODY EVER BROKEN YOUR HEART UNKNOWINGLY?
