SUCH THINGS HAPPEN TOO

The first time I saw you,

I didn't know why my heart was beating like that.

As if it had never beaten before.

As if you were the only person for whom it beats.

I don't know what's so special in you

that's getting me drawn towards you.

I asked myself, "Is it love?"

And then I thought that

it only happens in fairy tales.

But what a fool was I

to think of it like that.

Because such things happen too.

I spent enough time with you.

Enough to get to know you well.

But when you were not there

by my side,

Why do I feel so incomplete without you?

What's happening to me?

Why is this distance making me feel uneasy?

I asked myself again, "Is it love?"

My mind just dismissed it as a silly thought.

But my heart

had already made a fool of itself.

Because such things happen too.

Why have you become a habit?

Why does it not feel right without you?

Honestly, I didn't even realize

when my heart became yours.

Listen before you say anything.

Don't blame me,it's the heart's fault.

And this is why such things happen too.

I came with the intention

to say something today.

To express my heart.

I am a little scared.

That you might break

the heart that is already yours.

I came to confess

about my feelings.

But I can feel it.

I feel as if your eyes

are speaking to me.

As if you came

to say something too.

As if you had also buried

something in your heart.

Just like I had done.

Why this rift even when we're side by side?

What a fool was I to not believe it!

That such thing's happen too.

But before I could say anything,

Why did you steal my words?

You came here so happily

Just to tell me that

Your heart was already someone else's.

You were already taken.

And then it hit me.

Friendzoned.

You friendzoned me.

But still I wish you good luck

Even though I was the one unlucky in love.

Because I want to see you happy.

My love story ended

Before it could even begin.

Am I really that easy to let go?

Do I really not deserve you?

Oh, how I wish that such things never existed.
