There was I

All proud and mighty

Of never having

A crush

On anyone.

But as you

Flashed by my sight

All my resolves

To never have one

Vanished instantly.

As if they

Didn't even exist.

(Ah, my wicked heart.)

Seems so strange

Yet it's so familiar.

Feels so new

Yet seems as old

As me and you.

(Like a decade or two.)

It's overwhelming

Still trying to hold it all in.

Even if I'm open book

For you to read.

You're still

A mystery to me.

Reaching the depths of my heart

I'm finding it hard to reach to yours.

Hands brushing each other, so close,

Still feels you're miles away.

(Can't take your hands in mine.)

Making my day so bright

With your eye-smile.

Your every gesture's of an angel to me.

Yet you seem to be Satan's buddy.

(For stealing my heart
Even if it's not your fault.)

Making my heart ache

For you, more and more.

I forgot what's sleep

Remaining drowned in your thoughts.

Still getting lulled to sleep

Greedy to have you in my dreams.

(In which I imagine
That you feel
The same for me.)

Love you like the Earth loves the Sun

Even if several other planets like me

Revolve around you.

Even if the distance

Is too much for me to bear.

I know that it's the best

So that you don't get my all burnt up.

(You'd be the centre
Of my Universe
Forever.)
