all that's left of US
I once held your love,
but let it slip away, thinking you’d always wait.
Now, all that’s left is quiet,
like a room no one visits anymore.
I search for you in the places we left behind,
knowing they’ll always feel empty now,
filled only with all I didn’t say,
and the way I let you go.
If I could reach you again,
I’d tell you the things I never did—
how much you meant,
how sorry I am for pushing you away.
But you’re not here to listen,
and my words fall into the silence,
echoing back to me,
reminding me of what’s gone.
I still feel you in those small moments,
the way light used to fall on us,
or in a familiar song that brings you back.
I turn, hoping to find you there,
but it’s only me,
standing in the quiet,
holding the memory of you
that I lost.
You deserved better than what I gave,
more than the half-hearted love I left you with.
Now, I’m here alone,
learning too late what love really meant.
If I could, I’d spend forever making it right,
even if it took the rest of my days
to show you I finally understand,
even if you never returned.
So here I am,
holding onto the pieces we left behind,
our story unfinished,
waiting, even as you fade away.
It’s yours, all that’s left,
for as long as it stays with me,
a love that might never find its way
back to you.

Dear Love Squad,
I hope that you liked 'all that's left of US'.
It's the sixth poem in my subunit
of this love poem collection- 'YOU'.
It's full of regrets and the tragic feeling of losing something so precious
as true love. . .
To find True Love is to find Heaven.
Therefore, if someone completely devotes themselves to us,
without expecting anything from us,
then we should try to love, look out and understand them as much as they do.
Thank you for your precious time.
Please don't forget to vote and comment!
Yours sincerely,
