Matilda Ellison is a 7.  She's a garbage collector and probably the only 7 in the Selection. She comes from a big family and is the oldest of 10 siblings, at 20 years old. Her father left years ago, after going to a farmhand to a jockey seemingly overnight but more on that later. She doesn't believe in love at first sight.
